Extended Stay America - Questions and concerns remain unaddressed

I have concerns about the steady weekly increase in our rental payments. Is this standard practice for customers with extended reservations or is it possible that, when someone inadvertently canceled our original reservation, our rent was reassessed at higher rates?

That accidental cancellation created problems with the wifi and cable tv, as well. The television is working correctly now but the internet is still unreliable.

Our weekly payments, thus far:

Oct. 18, 2022-$502.74

Oct. 25, 2022-$502.74

Oct. 31, 2022- $533.52

Nov. 08, 2022-$543.78

Nov. 15, 2022-$558.60

I was aware that there would be an increase in November but had no idea that with each week the rates would continue to rise, with no apparent discount applied for committing to a longer reservation time. Our reservation is set to expire on January 2, 2023. Will our weekly payments continue to increase weekly between now and then?

One other concern that I have is that there is no working laundry facility on the property. Due to plumbing issues at this property, are any concessions being made for the inconvenience to customers of the lack of access to laundry facilities? I was informed last week that it will be at least a month before renovations are completed. This information was shared with me, after already not having access to the laundry facilities for more than a week now.

Thank you, in advance, for any information and assistance you can provide in these matters.

Desired outcome: Concessions should be made for lack of access to the laundromat for at least several weeks and transparency in the weekly fee structure to justify weekly rent increases for extended reservations.

Extended Stay America - dorothy is a horrible manager!

I've stayed at this hotel now for over 60 days. On several occassions we've had to use their washers/dryers. On November 6, 2010 I reported to the manager, Dorothy that their washer wasn't working. By the 5th day, I reported to Dorothy that the washer wasn't working still and maybe they should put a sign up. I had to do this myself. It got to th 38th day and I went to the front desk to ask Dorothy when the washer would be fixed and she glared at me and didn't say one word. We are now on the 52nd day and do you think she has taken it upon herself to have it fixed? I asked today when butter would be ordered. Butter! For breakfast bagels. Again, she said glared at me. Earlier this a.m., a very nice gentlemen approached her asking her to order butter. Her response, "when I get around to it". When the gentlemen walked off, she freely spoke her mind in front of myself and another employee stating, "if he wants god damn butter go up and get it yourself A------!" She is constantly smoking cigarettes on the patio, speaks horribly of the Area Operations Manager and other employees with hotel guests. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL CAN YOU BE. Like the old saying goes, "If you don't like your job, get into something you like". She certainly isn't qualified as a manager and certainly shouldn't be in the hospitality area. After being here only 20 days, hotel guests all speak of her citing her unprofessionalism and her behavior towards guests and employees. Create a better atmosphere for customers and quit talking about everyones personal business and what happens with other guests here. Show you can be a suitable manager or move on down the road! (Your employees are even tierd of it and think it's awful you bring them to work). I hope the right person finds out about your unprofessionalism. I have to say that I have seen Travis Cornell here on numerous occassions and what a professional he is! He is extremely hard working and seems to have to handle all Dorothy's issues that she can't take care of herself. Then she has the nerve to speak horribly about him to employees and guests. Who do you think you are? Employees and guests love stability, structure and a business-like atmosphere instead of a circus that you are running! Move on Dorothy. You certainly DO NOT BELONG IN HOSPIATALITY!

Failure to let paying guest use lobby restroom means an automatic rating of 1. You have a keypad on the restroom, and I, a paying guest, was denied access by policy. Enough said.

Spent a week in the room. They would not clean the room. Restock soaps or towels. Would not clean clogged AC Heater unit. Tried but they told me to deal with it or leave. So I left.

I been harassed, Never forget the manager feel threatened by an uyangry person, trust your judgment. Leave the room immediately if you feel unsafe.

I stayed at the Columbia 100 Parkway extended care and the staff is amazing they are always friendly and there to help. My room was cleaned to my satisfaction always. Nora, Rahina and Ozo are so friendly and helpful as is the rest of the staff I just don't know their names. Thank you so much. Pam

I have lived here 2+ years and they are still charging me city and state taxes but none of the other long Term guests that have been here less time. Courtnay the manager gave me an eviction notice instead of fixing the 1500+ dollars I am owed. I am being discriminated against. Before Esa bought this property I never paid either.

confirmation Number [protected]. date of stay: March 25-April 1, 2023.

There was Graffitti on lamp shade, we had no WIFI the entire visit, no comforter on bed and the room was very dirty. I went out and bought rags and cleaner and cleaned our room. We also had to do laundry and they did not have detergent to buy and they were short of quarters.

ESA took over this property and a drunk regional manager is running 13253 e Briarwood ave location. Cynthia is a huge drunky racist who rents rooms at whatever cost. She allows meth, weed, and heroin smoked in her property. The staff sits in the lobby flirting with guests and ignoring duties. Dirty rooms with lots of damage, trash.

On Dec 10 I stayed at Extended Stay in NJ at the Raritan Center..room 235.I woke up with bug bites on my arm, I wanted to take a shower but there was Black mold by the shower head...Im requesting a refund or a complimentary room at another facility . I have photos but of course it's not letting me upload.

Stayed in room #106, hotel staff had stolen $4000.00 worth of personal property along with a US Passport and SS card.
District Manager will not call back after several attempts.
Compliant filed to the headquarters, still no response.
