The UPS Store the store tried to charge me $ 1.50 for tapping the pre-paid shipping label

On 03/17/2015 at the UPS store (
Westminster Center, 6765 Westminster Boulevard, Westminster, CA 92683)

I pre-paid the UPS shipping label and printed out at home I had everything packed and taped but the shipping label. When I arrived to the store and asked the gentleman in the store if he could tape the shipping label to the box he asked me for $1.50. I responded him that I already paid for the shipping label and that I am a long time customer and asked him kindly if he could be kind and just tape the shipping label he refused and he was rude.

Also, in the past he always persuaded me not to do the pre-paid label online he wants me to go to the store instead. I feel that the online service is great and I like to use it I don't understand why he keep on insisting. I definitely believe that he needs to be reprehended for his behavior.

Thanks

The UPS Store dropping off packages from ups and usps

I would like to file a complaint about the store located at 3983 S McCarran Blvd, Reno, NV 89502. I do a lot of business with UPS and the post office. The store located above is closest to my business, so sometimes I drop off my UPS and USPS packages to them. Every time I drop off a UPS box or a bag of USPS packages, the staff seem to get upset or not like the fact that I am dropping off packages. I believe the reason is because some of the boxes I bring them are close to 50 lbs and the USPS bags have about 20-30 smaller packages in them. I know UPS has an agreement with the post office to accept these, so yesterday again I dropped off several UPS boxes, and 1 bag of USPS packages. The same staff member then proceeded to tell me that they can no longer accept my post office packages. I asked them why and they said because there was too many. So if I understand this correctly, I can drop off packages, but if I do too much business and bring too many packages, then that is not allowed. Please help me resolve this issue. Are they allowed to deny my packages? They are also extremely rude at that store and unfriendly to almost everyone. I know this is not the brand that UPS wants to reflect and uphold. I strongly suggest that someone look into this. Thank you for your time. I also am not one to goes to these lengths to file a complaint.

The UPS Store fraudulent charges

Worst customer service ever! Ups store 190 haverhill st methuen, ma 01844. 1/13/16. I had to report this store because that is actually how bad they are in there! I have been twice now, the first time they charged us $1.00 for tape to tape the box, which no ups store ever has, but we paid and that was that. So we went again today and taped the box, now they want to charge us $2.00 to tape the label! I called customer service this is not even allowed! They never charge! So this store is doing illegal charges! They were laughing and waving making fun of my fiance. I called to speak to the manager he wouldn't give me his name and hung up on my face. I was so nice too! This is just wrong what they are going over there! Hopefully me filing the complaint with the company I will get somewhere so others do not get fraudelantly charged! Save yourself the aggravation and take the extra time to go to ups in salem, nh!

The UPS Store unethical behavior, lying, and holding package

On Saturday, December 26, 2015 I walked into the UPS Store in Hendersonville, TN with a package containing perishables that I wanted shipped and delivered as soon as possible. The man said that the USPS would take 12 days for delivery but UPS could get it there by Monday. He never gave me the cost or shipping options for USPS. I know that UPS does 2 day deliveries and I believed it would be the fastest service even for ground service. On Monday I looked at my receipt a little closer as I was looking for the tracking number so I could track package online. Then I realized that my receipt gave a ship date of Monday and that the package would not be delivered until Wednesday. I phoned the UPS store. A lady answered the call and said that she could not even find my tracking number or package. But, she reiterated that based on the time I brought the package into the store that it would go out that day (Monday) and be delivered on Wednesday. When I let her know that I was very angry about being lied to about this ship and delivery date then she said that she "could not continue this call" and she hung up on me. She did not want to be bothered with this huge mistake. That night the tracker showed no information at all. The next day the tracker showed only that a label had been created but the package still had not been shipped. So I again phoned the store. I asked "Why" had my package not been shipped out? They claimed that I said that I was going to pick it up the previous day (on Monday). I said "Why would I have said that when I have been telling you that I need to get it shipped out as soon as possible?" I was then told that the package was setting on their counter waiting for me to pick it up at 'my request.' Now I was even more angry. I immediately drove over to the store, picked up my package and received a full refund. Then I took the package to the USPS, paid for priority mail which was half the cost for a 3 day service and tracking number but because of the coming holiday my package is still being held up. Altogether my package will have been awaiting delivery for a full week and a half "with parishables" in it! If I had known what horrible service UPS was going to provide I could have taken my package directly to the USPS on Monday and had it delivered to my friend before New Years. Now because of these irresponsible and rude people my package is ruined. Late on Tuesday afternoon the manager of the store phoned me in order to apologize and appease me for what happened. Her words were empty and did nothing to salvage my package which was a Christmas gift for a good friend. She defended her lying workers and stated that the lady whom I spoke with on Monday told her that I requested to pick up the package. This was an outright lie when I stated from the very first day that I needed the package sent as quickly as possible but this manager was obviously inclined to believe whatever her workers told her. Second, the man who initially accepted my package lied about the ship and delivery date and about the USPS service. I looked at the websites for both Hendersonville UPS stores before going into the store and the manager said that the pick up times on the website were incorrect, or rather she believed that "I" was incorrect in what I read on the website speaking to me as if I were too dumb to know how to read the store hours and pick up times for our local store. When I looked at the website I saw a 6 p.m. pick up for ground shipping. Whether I had made a mistake or the website was wrong the store employee needs to inform a customer who walks in wanting to ship something right away. The store employee should be able to give a customer all the relevant shipping times and rates for the type of service the customer is seeking. If they cannot handle that then they need to find another job. The manager said that the guy who initially took my package was supposed to call me the previous day (on Monday), apologize for the mixup and ask me what I wanted to do with my package but he never phoned me. Instead to keep from confronting me about the error he made or having to apologize he lied to his manager and told her that I was coming in to get the package before I ever made the phone call on Tuesday to ask why my package had never been shipped out. If I had never phoned the store to inquire about my package then it would have sat there until they threw it away and never gone anywhere while keeping my money for a service that was never rendered. After having spent an entire exhausting day on Christmas(one of my few days off from a full time job) baking something special for a friend in another state these people at UPS ruined my gift and all of my hard work including the cost of what I baked. I guarantee you that I will never again walk into that store while careless, lying employees like that are working there. The cost of the baked goods that these employees ruined should come out of their own paychecks. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who outright lie and seek to destroy things that belong to others. It would have been mature and professional for the man to phone me on Monday to straighten out the error and then ship my package off that day but since he chose to avoid me then lie to his manager about what happened he caused the entire situation to be compounded into fury. As for the lady who hung up on me, she needs to learn how to communicate in business. You do not ever hang up on a customer unless they are making threats or cursing. All of these employees need to be put through some professional business and courtesy training in how to handle difficult situations, upset customers, and dealing with people. These employees have no people skills. I have nothing good to say about the inexperienced manager either. UPS has a store full of incapable and unskilled people who know nothing and care nothing about how to conduct business. Neither are they learned in their own product services. Obviously these people are related or good friends and that is how they expect to make it through life - always expecting someone to cover up for them while they do whatever they want to. Now there is absolutely nothing that would ever bring me back into this store but the residents of Hendersonville, TN need to know what kind of people are working in this store, how rude, careless, and irresponsible they are and how they lie. Maybe these people have enough friends and family who will support this store. Perhaps those are the only people who receive respect and consideration.

The UPS Store shipping

I went to the UPS Store 1836 to send a package by UPS on Friday Dec.18 around 2PM. When asked the cost to ship in time for Christmas the owner said $75 without checking and delivery on Dec. 21st for a 5lb robe in a padded enveloped. It was expensive so I asked for the cheapest option a longer transit time before Christmas he then quoted me $65 plus $15 discount. I was desperate and rushed, accepted $50.18 being told that it was the cheapest option arriving the latest day possible Dec. 24th. After leaving the shop still weary of the price, I checked shipping cost online and UPS Ground is $20 for a 4 day transit arrival Dec. 24th. After many attempts to call the store to get the tracking number I was put on hold and hung up on. No tracking number was provided on the receipt or the email that was supposed to be sent. Once I drove back to the store I got a print out from Click-N-Ship misaligned cutting off the total price which I was told by USPS was $13 and some change. First learned that it was going to be shipped USPS my request made 30mins after paying for shipping was to go and pick up the package/envelope and get a refund, the owner claims it was no longer in the store and was shipped out to USPS within that 30mins. Checking on updates on USPS says only shipping information was sent package hasn't been received by USPS I went to confirm at the location on Bolsa in Westminster where the UPS owner told me it was dropped at and the postal worker checked in the back for me and did not have the envelope which was colorful and stood out not just a regular brown card box. On and off two hours later the tracking still shows only shipping information was received. Asked owner exactly how much the surcharge was and the shipping cost, denied he just replied it's going to be more expensive at the UPS store you should have use USPS store if you didn't want to be charged extra. I had no idea that USPS was sending as far as I knew and was told UPS cheapest way to deliver, on my receipt it says 'Priority Mail' with no trademark no tracking info. Asked owner why he told me delivery date the 24th not the 21st as it stated on my tracking info, owner said because you wanted it guarantee by Christmas and delivery date 21st is not a guarantee, which is misleading. Told owner to call the USPS store to stop shipment for pick up and I will have to forfeit the $13 shipping cost and get a refund from UPS Store for the $37 but owner would not allow refund and said, ''you signed the receipt for $50 are you dumb?'' and proceed with bride of $20 to leave then a threat to call the cops. UPS owner gave no option for customer to get a refund and withheld my package. Since it's a franchised and has different policy nowhere in the store does it say no refund after 30 minutes or no explanation on charges I did not authorized. Also deceitfully overcharging and up selling shipping cost not making it clear that UPS is not the provider. Not allowing explanations or questions I have for non-itemized receipt with actual and exact cost of shipping in additional to UPS surcharges. Unlike other shipping receipts it does not provide tracking number and expected delivery date and extra services 'add-on' which when I saw differ from what I was told and authorized. None of which was made available in writing or on the receipt during the purchase that was opposite what the owner had said regarding pricing and shipment transit time. Owner told me the package will be delivered on the 24th and was the cheapest (any cheaper would be after Christmas) earlier the owner had quoted a delivery date for Dec. 21 will be $75. Owner is making up numbers charging from $75 to $65 to $50.18 all for the same service, Priority Mail shipping. Owner just made up the Dec. 24th delivery date for the 12/21package so that he doesn't have to go any cheaper than $50 knowing it is a Christmas gift. Purposely hid the tracking number and did not provide it at time of payment to mislead customer from knowing they were been charged for USPS service and the real amount for shipping with the hidden UPS fee. I received a reply from UPS Store corporate stating that UPS Store has the responsibility since they sent out the USPS package that I do not have the option to request hold for pick up nor if anything happened to the package UPS store will have to deal with the claim I am not able to since UPS store is the sender. Yet the owner said he will not call and told me to call USPS if I wanted to call and to leave his store and call UPS to complain he was 'finished' with me, he knew I would get nowhere with both companies and I was refer back to the local store. The UPS Store is lying to customers about guaranteed delivery dates, up selling higher price shipping options that does not actually exist or provide no additional benefits to customers, concealing the existence of cheaper shipping services cost when requested by customers. In addition, denial for refund and service paid for. As well as violating consumers right to information, right to choice and right to be heard. The package was delivered today and finally update and shows 'December 18, 2015, 7:46 pm - Accepted at USPS Origin Sort Facility - WESTMINSTER, CA 92683' which I was told at 2:48PM when I called package left the UPS Store 1836. Plus a Signature Confirmation™ which is a paid service I did not ask for nor had authorized. Here is there yelp page with numerous similar complaints. http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-ups-store-westminster-4

The UPS Store poorly trained staff, disrespectful manager

I was shipping a package overseas for a customer and went into the UPS Store on Justin Road to make sure I chose the correct shipping options and included the correct customs documents. My shipment was time sensitive and I needed delivered on time. Because they cannot pull up my business account on their system, I brought my laptop with me so they could walk me through the process They seemed to be knowledgeable about international shipping and did not tell me otherwise. Trust the experts, right? To my shock and surprise my shipment was delayed because the correct customs documents were not included (Again, the only reason I spent two hours of my day in this store was to ENSURE everything was correct.) After paying for a very expensive two-day shipping to the UK, my customer was irate that the package would not be delivered on time. I called the store and asked that the manager return my call to see why my shipment was handled incorrectly. The employee told me the manager Terry would return my call by noon the next day. She DID NOT return my call and I finally called her myself. She said she would look into the matter and call me back. A WEEK LATER the manager Terry had still NOT returned me call. Once I got her on the phone was hardly apologetic, blaming the issue on the fact that the store is a franchise and accepted no responsibility. Had I known there was ANY type of "franchise issues" and that they could not fully help me, I would have gladly taken my business somewhere else. An apology would've gone a long way. I've never been treated so poorly by a store manager. She did not take my concern seriously and couldn't even be bothered to return a call. My company does a lot of business with this store and we considered them a partner. However, this fiasco has negatively impacted my business. After my deplorable experience with the manager Terry I will not be returning. If the manager had handled things differently I would still be a customer. If you want your packages shipped correctly and expect the manager to treat you with respect, take your business elsewhere.

The UPS Store no receipt

On 8.28.2015, I brought two boxes into the UPS store in Methuen, Massachusetts with prepaid return labels on the boxes. The clerk (Barry) said "you're all set", as I placed the boxes on the counter. I said, "could I have a receipt"- Barry replied "no, we don't give receipts." Incredible!

I'm going to leave over $1000 worth of merchandise that I'm returning with a UPS clerk and walk out without any proof that I dropped off the boxes. At every other UPS store that I have been to, I am always asked whether I would like a receipt.

I informed Barry that I have dropped off literally hundreds of packages at UPS over the years and have always gotten a receipt. If this guy owns the franchise he should be ejected from the franchise system, If he is an employee he should be fired. Hopefully, UPS corporate does something about this person who gives the entire UPS brand a black eye.

I will never go back to the UPS store in Methuen, MA. I will drop the boxes off at the UPS store in Andover, MA where I always get a receipt.

The UPS Store rip off

The store charges over $8.00 for a small box. DO NOT let UPS Store provide box and packing -- they rip you off big time. Use USPS which provides the box at flat rate charge inclusive for priority service.

Stay away from UPS Stores -- you will save about 25% using USPS.

I walked out of the store feeling like I had been had. And I had.

The UPS Store lost package

UPS Store #3012 at 5543 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, TN 37211 has the worst customer service. While moving to Nashville a few months ago, we got a PO Box and they charged us $147 for six months. I was okay with that because they were to provide excellent service that I needed. However, I had been expecting two packages to come in. I was notified from both shipments that they were delivered to this store. I go to pick up the packages and there is only one there. I waited until the next week thinking it might just be an oversight, but I was wrong. Even though my package stated it had been delivered, the UPS Store did not log it in and therefore they are saying the package was NOT delivered at all. So, for two weeks I have waited for them to get back with me to tell me what they intend to do about it. I went by there again on Tuesday and was basically told to go away. So I wanted to talk to the owner (which by the way, UPS Store is not governed by UPS Corporation...they are individually owned). The owner, Dean called me yesterday and basically told me that if I had used UPS as the shipping agent, my package would be there. That they do not make mistakes. And after a heated argument on the phone, he had the nerve to tell me that obviously he wasn't going to be able to please me and that he didn't need my business. Seriously? So, I went to another location to open a box to have my mail forwarded and I was only charged $72 for six months. This store is a scam and though they say customer service is top priority...they are only telling you lies. Avoid this particular UPS Store at all costs. I am out the money for an item I purchased through Amazon.com and still do not have my package. Who am I to believe? The confirmation that the package was delivered? Or the UPS Store that says I cannot be pleased because they didn't lose it.

The UPS Store the ups store - pompano beach 33069 (ruben sacks - owner)

"Want to register a complaint regarding one of The UPS Store's (lack of) Customer Service. To quote their credo: "Our Customer Service Commitment- The UPS Store® is committed to providing world-class customer service to our retail customers. We are committed to providing personalized and professional solutions while supporting our core values." Unfortunately this is FAR from reality when dealing with their franchisee "Ruben Sacks" (Owner) of: The UPS Store - 43 S Powerline Rd (Atlantic & Powerline Rd.) Pompano Beach, FL [protected] office [protected] fax He "Baits & Switches" his prospective customers...quoting one price on the phone and then charging 3 times the quoted fee when the shipment arrives (i.e. quoting me (on the initial telephone conversation) a shipment fee of $5 per box & then tripling that fee to $15 per box when the shipment arrives in his store). He "baits & switches" you & quotes a "low ball" price on the phone (where he knows their is no proof gathered of what he quotes - unless one illegally records the phone conversation) just to get your business & then he overcharges you when the shipment arrives - with his thinking that he has you "over a barrel" and the customer will go ahead and pay the jacked-up price just to get their goods and avoid any hassle. He "baits & switches" you on the phone (where you can't prove what he said) rather than quoting you via e-mail (where there would be proof of what he said). BEWARE of this UPS Store and Ruben Sacks. I recommend that no one does business with him or his store...or they may get ripped off worse than me!"

The UPS Store fired without just cause

I worked for this company for approximately four months. I worked diligently, never missed a day, and I was never late. One day she calls me at home and tells me that she was going to fire a co-worker the following morning and changed my hours to suit this. She did not let this employee go. The owner of this store had some personal issues that she shared and her behavior was irrational at best. She had her 5 or 6 year old daughter not sure of the exact age there daily and she was not supervised. She even got 1st and 2nd degree burns from an accident due to lack of supervision. She then takes me and my co-worker and says there have been customer complaints, and refused to give the details, reminding us we were both on probation. The day after the Christmas holiday she says to me take this paper home and I am letting you go. I read this document and all of it was not true, any of it. She called me depressed? stated that I did not like my job? The basis of my complaint is I needed a letter of dismissal faxed to my landlord, for I live in income based housing. On this document she states that I was lethargic, made errors with the mail meter which the incident she was referring to was not even me it was my co-worker that she was going to fire and still works there. She said other things as well..I have never been fired in my life and can prove that all of my previous employers have been very happy with me and still are. I am humiliated and feel that my image has been tarnished for she faxed this document to where I live. I personally and will swear on a bible that I have had customers tell me they will not come in the store when she is there, for she is rude and unfriendly. The owner is who I am talking about. she is a poor front for UPS and really hurting their image and credibility.

Why would anyone go to a UPS Store to have fingerprinting anyhow. You have to be an idiot! UPS stores hire kids and people without a high school education, I know because I manage one. UPS Stores are franchises they don't have the money to hire people who are even have a background check and you would let them do your fingerprinting that's just crazy!

The UPS Store document

I went to ups store in 304 newbury st, boston, ma o2115 on 11/17/11 to post document. It was an international mail. The price for express mail was expensive. So, the guy working there suggested me to send it through priority mail by usps. I was about to go usps but he told me that I dont have to go usps. Usps gonna pick up mail at their place. So I just need to pay 27.90 dollars and I will be all set. I asked him for the confirmation number and he said I wont get it since the mail will be transferred to usps he doesnt know what the confirmation number will be. He asked me not to worry about it. So I just paid it. It was a international priority mail. Now the problem is that my parents over there hasnt got the document yet. It was supposed to be there within a week as he told me. It is an important document. Now, I told usps about the situation they said they dont know where my mail is because the ups didnt gave me any confirmation number. I went to same ups store and talked with that guy again and he said he cannot do annything either. He asked me to have patience. Wtf...? Have patience for what? My parents has interview on friday. And they havent got the document yet... I am so pissed up. What should I do? If I have known that these things gonna happen then I would have directly gone to usps. 11/30/11

Dallu,
Is there anyone around your computer that can show you where your Caps Lock key is? If so, maybe they can show you how to shut it off, then pry it off your keyboard so that you don't appear to be a complete imbecile in the future. Good luck to you and your future postings.

Hi, I work at a UPS Store, and seems like the clerk was doing his job, yes UPS is a bit more expensive than USPS; but the extra cost has its reasons. First, with every UPS shipment, you have $100 insurance for free; 2nd, you get a tracking number for free, so you can see where it is at; 3rd, if it is guaranteed by there in 3 days, it will be there, otherwise you call UPS and you get all of your money back. As for the tracking number for USPS, if it is a Parcel Post or Priority, there is usually a tracking number. We ship USPS all the time and we provide tracking# to all of our clients. Not sure how they do it in your town tho. So, go UPS if you wanna make sure it gets there on time. You get what you paid for.

The UPS Store overpriced charge

UPS Store at 4004 NE 4th St # 107 Renton, WA
DO NOT USE THIS STORE EVER! They will overcharge you. I tried to send my package using ground shipping and they quoted my a price of $115.00. The person working there claims that this is the normal price and he said I could check with the US Postal service which will also charge a similar price. He was trying to convince me to pay for the service but I didn't go for it. So, I went to US Postal Service and checked the price and they only charged me $33.00, not $115.00. That's a big price difference. I will never go to this UPS store again because the person I spoke with at that store was dishonest and lied to me regarding the price. He tried to scam me.

The UPS Store refund for po box

Below is the email I sent to the owner and had no response. The email included a signed letter from his employee, stating I would recieve the full refund of $81. UPS Store 2781 charged me for a PO Box that ws never put in place and belonged the mail inside belonged to another person.

Mr Kim;

Attached you will find a written letter from Drew Durham, (your employee) stating
my refund due in the amount of $81. I received a check from you in the amount
of $41; which I have not cashed and do not accept. I opened a PO Box at your
location which was never set up by your store, I never had a PO box which you
are charging me for 1 month, and your store has caused me a great deal of
headache because not only did my mail never get transferred; the box was
assigned to another person.

The UPS Store stolen money

Do not use the ups store in okotoks, alberta, canada... Ever! They are the rudest, most unprofessional owners you can come across! They rip you off and steal your money! I required an urgent package be picked up in toronto, ontario on a friday and have it shipped overnight air express to okotoks, alberta. This was a very urgent document/cheque to pay a staff of 12. The employee at the okotoks ups store was very polite and helpful and set up the delivery with ups and I paid cash and was about to leave, but asked if it was guaranteed to be delivered on a saturday. She was unsure of the day of the week it was, and realized it was a friday and ups does not deliver on saturdays. So we had to void the delivery and she returned my money. I was on the phone with purolator who was ready to handle and guarantee my pick up and delivery for a saturday, when the ups store clerk said "I have dhl set up and they guarantee you will have it tomorrow..." so I hung up with purolator (Big mistake) and trusted the ups store clerk because she raved that dhl was great, as did the old guy in the store who talked like a mental patient... Non stop... To the point that I thought he was mentally challenged and was hired to clean up the store, but it turns out he is the owner... Along with his wife. I paid my $46 cash fee and left the store. Dhl did not pick up the package in toronto - despite my call to ensure they were on their way and I was told the driver was minutes out and was on schedule... He never showed up! On monday morning I returned to the ups store in okotoks and the old man and his wife (Co-owner) were alone in the store. I very politely informed them that dhl failed to pick up the package and asked for a refund, and then asked to have them set up a pick up by ups. I also suggested that they not recommend dhl to customers and explained that they were unprofessional and unreliable. The female owner lost it! She became very belligerent and blamed me for picking them and said it was my fault, not theirs, and went on and on scolding me (Half of which I could not understand because she is a gypsy or something)... Then told me she didn't like my attitude and she would not set up a ups pick up for me. I asked how it is that "i" had an attitude by complaining about dhl and she began yelling at me and told me "tough luck for you! I am keeping your money! Good luck trying to get your $46 back! Call dhl to try and get it!" there was no reasoning with her because she is completely crazy. I tried speaking calmly to her husband (The mentally challenged old man) because it was just bizarre that anyone would treat a customer like that or react so hostile and crazy, but he too started yelling and said "don't blame us for dhl. You chose to use them! Half the time they don't even deliver on a saturday! Go try and get your money from them!" so I did what any sane person who is dealing with two unprofessional, old and crazy people would... I left without my money. When I contacted dhl, they were polite and professional, admitted their error wit the driver not showing up, apologized... And told me to go to the ups store for a refund! So I paid for a package that was never picked up or delivered by dhl, was treated like crap by the okotoks ups store, and my employees have yet to be paid... And I was ripped off $46.00! If you use dhl or the okotoks ups store after reading this... You deserve to get ripped off, lied to and treated like crap! Do not use dhl or the okotoks ups store... Ever!

OKOTOKS UPS worst business in town
, CA
Dec 02, 2013 1:10 pm EST

Unfortunately I agree completely with the previous comment. This business has truly got to be the WORST owned and operated in all of Okotoks. I feel sorry for the two younger women I've encountered working there, and even the wife has my pity, but the elderly man is unbelievably UNprofessional, UNreasonable, rude, and belligerent. What's so incredible is that he has no idea he is at fault. He speaks down to the customer and the minute you try to speak up, he becomes defensive. (perhaps he has had a lifetime of people complaining about his attitude?) It is UNFATHOMABLE to me that he is the owner of the business. I wanted to complain about him but there was no one to talk to! My parcel problems (it never was delivered and they still insisted I pay a late fee!) were actually secondary to the abominable service they provided. This business is LAUGHABLE! There's gotta be other stories out there...

The UPS Store failed delivery

When this store screwed up my delivery, there was no talking to them. The manager, Dane Lynch, was the rudest person you could ever imagine. He even threatened me with bodily harm when I complained, and I had to call the cops on him. I guess he only has a job because, as I've been told, his mommy owns the company. Even the cop could tell that he was an ###.

If you dropped it off at a U.P.S. store for shipment, then you're out of luck. They are independent of U.P.S., and they become the shipper when you use them and then you no longer have any controle. I went through HELL when I used a U.P.S. store instead of going straight to U.P.S., but I always thought they were the same entity. My problem was with the store in Dunedin Fl., on Main street. The owner, Dane Lynch was the RUDEST person I've ever encountered, and at one point even threatened me!
It's FEDEX all the way for me now days.

Owners usually throw away packages with prepaid labels on them, or they step on them. Make sure you don't drop off any packages with prepaid labels on them at a UPS Store. The owners get paid next to nothing, so they will take it out on your prepaid package.

The UPS Store - cost and rudeness

I am a business owner and utilize UPS much during each month. I am usually happy with their service, but The UPS Store on 1436 Altamont Ave, Schenectady, NY has changed my view of UPS stores. This store has no customer service skills and excessive costs. On March 28, 2011 I was sending a prepared package with prepaid mailing label- all it need was one...
