TubeDepot Upgrade Your Amp's Sound with Genalex Gold Lion Tubes from TubeDepot

I recently purchased three Genalex Gold Lion tubes from TubeDepot for my Fender Super Champ X2 amp. I was pleased to see that the tubes were matched, had 24 hours of burn-in time, and low noise options. The tubes arrived in a large box, which was wrapped in paper and had minimal plastic, making it very eco-friendly. I thought that was really cool!

As for the quality of the tubes, I'm not entirely sure since this is only my second time buying tubes. However, I can say that the sound is smoother and less harsh. I even asked my wife if she noticed a difference, and she said that the tones were cleaner. I still need to try the amp with different voices to be sure, and I plan on swapping the speaker for a real one. I'm still a bit skeptical, but it seems like an upgrade!

Fast forward one year later, and these tubes are still working beautifully with harmonics that are simply amazing. I'm currently using a Jensen P10R speaker, and I can confidently say that this amp sounds much better with the Genalex Gold Lion tubes compared to the GT valves.

Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase from TubeDepot, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality tubes. Thanks, Michelle!

TubeDepot Disappointing Experience with TubeDepot: Delayed Shipping and Incorrect Product Sent

So, I ordered this tube from TubeDepot, and let me tell you, it was one of the most expensive tubes I've ever bought. It was rare and hard to find, but they had it in stock, so I went ahead and ordered it. But then, the shipping was delayed, and it took three times longer than it should have. When I asked why, they gave me some excuses that didn't really make sense.

Finally, the tube arrived, and I was excited to unbox it and see what I had spent so much money on. But when I opened the package, I realized that they had sent me something far less valuable than what I had ordered. And to make matters worse, when I checked their website, the item I had actually bought was now listed as out of stock.

I don't know what happened here, but it seems like either someone stole the last high-demand item to sell it for a higher price, or they just didn't have it and sent me something else to make it my problem.

Now, I understand that mistakes happen, but the proper thing to do in this situation would have been to tell me to keep the improper product and refund my money. That way, they could have kept my future business. But instead, they sent me a prepaid label to ship it back to them. So not only did I have to wait months for this highly coveted tube, but now I have to go out of my way to package it back up and send it back to them, and then wait and hope that they refund my cash.

I mean, come on, TubeDepot, at the very least, you could have refunded the considerable difference in price between the thing I have no use for and what I actually purchased. But all I got was a label to ship it back for a refund. That's it. Nothing more.

After I posted this review, they did offer to refund the price difference, but then they asked me to remove my review. I mean, sure, they refunded me, but I shouldn't have had to make it inconvenient for them to get to that point. Their priorities are completely out of whack. They should be focused on future business and damage control instead of just making the customer happy.

TubeDepot Unprofessional Treatment and Discrimination by TubeDepot: A Disappointing Experience

I recently had a very unfortunate experience with TubeDepot. I placed an order for amplifier tubes, but my billing and shipping addresses were different. To my surprise, they refused to send my order, citing this as a 'red flag'. When I called customer service to inquire about the issue, I was greeted with a manager named Joe, who proceeded to yell at me and berate me for being a 'guy from Turkey'. This was a highly offensive and upsetting experience for me, as someone who has lived in the US for five years.

What's more, despite the fact that TubeDepot had charged my card and sent me an order confirmation, they had no intention of shipping my parts. It seems they were more concerned with running a background check on me than fulfilling my order. This behavior is unacceptable, and I am deeply disappointed in their lack of professionalism and customer service.

I was left feeling cheated out of my money and trampled upon as a valued customer. It is simply unacceptable that a company would refuse to do business with someone based on their nationality, and even more outrageous that they would try to make a profit off of someone they weren't willing to serve. I urge others to think twice about supporting a company that treats its customers with such disdain.

TubeDepot Disappointing Experience with TubeDepot: Unreliable Shipping and Poor Customer Service

My experience with TubeDepot was rather frustrating to say the least. After eagerly placing an order for some capacitors, I received notification that my package had yet to be scanned in after a week of waiting. To make matters worse, I was told it might take another 2-4 weeks before I would receive my order. Disappointed and losing patience, I decided to make an order with another company, Tubes and More, that offered free shipping. To my pleasant surprise, my order with Tubes and More was shipped the same day and I had already received it.

Feeling rightfully disappointed, I reached out to TubeDepot expressing my concerns and frustrations with their shipping process. If they cannot guarantee timely shipping or even guarantee that customers will receive their packages, it is irresponsible for them to be accepting orders. I believe it is time for TubeDepot to reevaluate their business operations and focus on providing secure and timely delivery to their customers.

It's funny how one company can offer free shipping and still manage to provide efficient shipping while TubeDepot cannot provide either. I have learned a tough lesson and will be taking my business to Tubes and More from now on. In my opinion, TubeDepot is a terribly managed company that needs to up their game before they lose more customers like myself.

TubeDepot Unsatisfactory experience with TubeDepot – Poor Customer Service and Non-Tested Tubes!

I recently had an unfortunate experience dealing with TubeDepot. After ordering a couple of "tested" 6v6 tubes, I was excited to receive them and upgrade my amp. Unfortunately, after inserting the tubes, my amp blew twice. I immediately contacted customer service to explain the situation, hoping for a solution.

Their response was less than satisfactory. They told me that I had to pay for the return shipping of the tubes, and assured me that they would refund me for it once they received the tubes. I sent the tubes back, but to my dismay, they not only didn't refund me for the shipping back to the store but also never refunded me for the original shipping either. As a result, I lost my shipping money after their non-tested, shorted tubes blew my amp twice.

On top of that, I had to buy two resistors out of my own pocket, and wait for them to arrive in the mail. Fortunately, I have some electronic skills, but this would have been a bigger issue if I didn't. To make matters worse, it took over a month for me to get my amp up and running again, and this ordeal cost me more than just the price of the tubes themselves.

Overall, I found my experience with TubeDepot to be incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Their customer service left much to be desired, and their claims of testing their products didn't hold up. I was left without a running amp and short on funds. I wouldn't recommend doing business with them and wish I had taken my business elsewhere.

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts about Tubedepot.com. As a musician with nearly 50 years under my belt, I have been doing business with Tubedepot for quite some time and there are several reasons why I keep going back to them.

First and foremost, I have always found their customer service to be top notch. The assistance I've received over the phone with any questions or concerns has always been thorough and helpful. And when it comes to parts, I have experienced very few returns. Shipping is typically speedy and I have always been impressed with how quickly any warranties have been handled.

When it comes to purchasing NOS output and pre-amp valves, Tubedepot is my go-to choice. Honestly, it's a simple decision for me. The quality is second to none and the peace of mind I get with their 100% guarantee is worth every penny. I have complete trust in the NOS tubes I purchase from them and I believe that Tubedepot stocks the very best.

And finally, their technical assistance department is excellent. Any questions I've had about various technical aspects of my equipment have always been answered in a timely and helpful manner. It's great to know there is a knowledgeable and helpful resource available for any issues that may arise.

TubeDepot Frustrating Shipping Experience with TubeDepot: Delayed Order and Poor Communication

I recently had an experience with TubeDepot that left me feeling extremely frustrated and disappointed. I was in the process of building an amplifier and placed an order for a set of different parts that I needed. I decided to pay for two-day FedEx shipping in order to receive my items quickly.

Unfortunately, my products did not arrive for a week after the anticipated delivery date. When I received the receipt, I noticed that it only included the subtotal, shipping fee, and total, which was a bit alarming. I sent an email to inquire about the status of my order but never received a reply.

After three additional weeks had passed without a package in sight, I sent another email to TubeDepot. This time, I received a one-line response stating that "one of the items included in my order was backordered". It was frustrating to learn that one item could hold up my entire order.

It was another month before I abandoned all hope in receiving my package and sent yet another email. Unfortunately, TubeDepot never replied to this final follow-up email. In total, it took over 50 days since paying for two-day shipping for my order to finally be shipped out.

Aside from the delay, I was also unhappy to learn that the reason for the delay was an item being backordered. Interestingly, this item was never indicated as out of stock, which was concerning to me. It wasn't until my second inquiry about the status of my order that I was informed of this.

Overall, this experience left me feeling disappointed in TubeDepot's customer service and shipping practices. I have since switched to Antique Electronic Supplies and Parts Express until I finished my prototype. As I started my own business, I switched to CE Distribution for manufacturer/reseller discounts.

TubeDepot Poor Customer Service and Failed Promise of Express Shipping at TubeDepot

My experience with TubeDepot was not a pleasant one. While the tubes themselves arrived in good condition, I opted for express shipping and paid a considerable amount extra for it. However, to my dismay, the tubes were shipped via ground instead. This posed a problem as I needed them within a week and had counted on them arriving on time.

When I contacted TubeDepot to inquire about the delay and obtain a tracking number, I was met with a dismissive response. They offered no explanation for why they did not ship it express, even though I paid for it, and provided no tracking information. To add insult to injury, they did not make any effort to rectify the mistake or offer a refund for the extra cost I paid for the shipping.

What's more, when I expressed my dissatisfaction and pointed out that the shipping cost on the package was under $20 while I was charged $60, TubeDepot offered me a screenshot of somebody else's personal information, including their address. This was unacceptable and highly unprofessional, as it was a breach of privacy.

I am disappointed that TubeDepot did not provide good customer service. As a paying customer, I expected better treatment and respect. I find it disheartening that they did not honor their promise to deliver the product on time or provide any explanation for the discrepancy in the shipping cost.

Given this experience, I will not return to TubeDepot for any future purchases. I believe that customer service is crucial in any business, and TubeDepot failed to deliver on this front. It is my hope that they improve their customer service practices and communication with customers to avoid such situations in the future.

When I ordered nearly $400 in tubes from TubeDepot, I was excited to receive my new items, but was disappointed to find that two of the tubes I ordered, which totaled $170, were not as described on the website. When I reached out to customer support to express my concerns, I was told that it was just the boxes that were different and that I had received the right items, which wasn't accurate. In reality, the tubes themselves were printed with a different brand and country of origin, which was frustrating.

As a customer, I believe that TubeDepot should have been more transparent about the potential for items to arrive in a different condition than listed on the website. Perhaps adding a note to the description would have helped me understand that the product could be different from what was advertised. Instead, I felt dismissed and unimportant when I reached out to customer support for help. The eight back-and-forth exchanges that followed were discouraging and left me feeling like I was being treated rudely.

While TubeDepot did offer a return label, the prospect of packing, returning, and repurchasing the tubes didn't seem worth the time or effort to me. It's frustrating to have to deal with a company's mistakes and to pay more than an item is worth. Especially when the same tubes can be purchased from other sellers for $70 less than what TubeDepot charged. Even though I'm not a tube expert, I had the tubes checked out by my local hifi shop who confirmed that I had been sent the wrong item.

All in all, I'm disappointed in the customer service at TubeDepot. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I wouldn't recommend the company to anyone. If they want to improve their reputation in the future, they should focus on being more transparent, accommodating, and helpful to their customers.

TubeDepot A Little Gem for Jazz Lovers: TubeCube7 Valve Amp Review

I recently had the pleasure of ordering the TubeCube7 valve amp from Tube Depot, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Let me start by saying that the shipping was incredibly fast and the customer service with Tube Depot is top-notch. It's clear that they truly care about their customers and want them to have the best experience possible.

As for the amp itself, I have to say that it's a little gem. It's a Class A valve amp that really excels at jazz and small ensembles. I was blown away by how well it reproduced the dark space between notes on a great recording of Mile's Davis "Kind of Blue". It truly was a musical experience like no other. The amp also sounds amazing with Allen Toussant's "American Tunes" and "The Bright Mississippi" CD's, as well as Diana Krall "Live in Paris" and Snooks Eaglin "New Orleans Street Singer". Grant Green's "Idle Moments" is also a standout on this amp.

It should be noted that this amp prefers efficient speakers, but when paired with them, it truly shines. However, when listening to larger ensembles, big bands, and orchestras, you may notice a bit of compression in the soundstage. It can be difficult to differentiate between certain instruments in these settings. But when it comes to well-recorded jazz trios, quartets, and quintets, this amp will blow you away with its clean, spacious, and defined sound.

I'm personally starting to call the TubeCube7 my Jazz Amp, as it's truly the best I've heard in this particular genre. Of course, I did roll tubes as per Tube Depot's recommendation, switching to the Tung Sol Russian tubes, and it only made the sound even better. And speaking of Tube Depot, their customer service truly is second to none. You can buy with full confidence knowing that they always stand behind the products they sell.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a great valve amp that excels in jazz and small ensembles, the TubeCube7 from Tube Depot is a fantastic choice. It's truly a little gem that will give you a musical experience like no other. So, take some time and relax to the sound of Snooks on the TubeCube7 – it's like he's right in front of you.

TubeDepot TubeDepot's Disappointing Customer Service and Miscommunication on Shipping Costs

It's unfortunate to hear that TubeDepot did not provide satisfactory results for the tests conducted on the 4 211 GE tubes. However, the real story begins with the shipment of the tubes back to Israel. Despite requesting the value of $75 to be declared on the package, TubeDepot had declared a value of $2000 resulting in custom duties of $300. The discrepancy in declared value was an unpleasant surprise that could have been avoided had TubeDepot paid attention to the customer's request.

Although the customer refused to pay the customs cost, TubeDepot continued to maintain silence until a week later, where they contacted the customer asking what they should do with the tubes. At this point, the customer had decided to put the tubes up for sale on Ebay and sold them a month later for $400. But when TubeDepot was asked to send the tubes to the buyer, they requested payment of $328 for the return shipping from Israel, a significantly higher amount than the $75 originally paid.

It's unclear why TubeDepot charged such an exorbitant amount, but it certainly did not sit well with the customer. The business transaction soured quickly, and the customer was left feeling dissatisfied with TubeDepot's attitude and level of service. It's a shame that TubeDepot chose to operate in this manner and lost a potential customer in the process. The experience serves as a cautionary tale of the importance of clear communication and transparency in business dealings.

TubeDepot Disappointing Customer Service Experience with TubeDepot - A Review

I recently had an experience with TubeDepot that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I ordered two tubes through Amazon and they were shipped out from TubeDepot in TN on April 30, 2020. Unfortunately, one of the ecc88 tubes I received was faulty.

I reached out to TubeDepot via the Amazon site on July 12, 2020, and again on June 22, 2014, to request the return and replacement of the faulty tube. In response, I received an automated message stating that their products come with a 90-day warranty.

When I emailed TubeDepot on July 29, 2020, to inform them that their reply did not meet my needs, I found that the "Return of goods & its replacement" option was not available for me to select. As a first-time Amazon returner, I found the procedures confusing and was upset to learn that I was no longer eligible for a return and that the return window had closed.

Despite my frustrations, I returned the faulty item to Amazon.com - Returns on 1850 Mercer Rd., Suite 100 Lexington, KY 40598 USA, and informed TubeDepot of my return through email. To my surprise, TubeDepot's reply on Wednesday, July 29,2020, was quite rude and unhelpful.

When I reached out to TubeDepot COO Joseph Austin on September 7, 2020, I explained the situation and requested help in resolving the matter by October 6, 2020. I even included a quote from Warren Buffet, reminding him of the importance of good customer feedback. Unfortunately, I received no reply from TubeDepot.

Overall, I was left feeling disappointed by my experience with TubeDepot. While they seem to value good customer feedback, their customer service was poor in this instance.

TubeDepot Disappointed with TubeDepot: Delayed Shipping and Incorrectly Labeled Tubes

I recently made a purchase from TubeDepot for a set of jj 6v6s. I was hoping for a quick and easy transaction, but unfortunately, it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. It took them a whole 4 days to ship out my order, which was a bit frustrating. When I finally received my order, I was disappointed to find out that they were not even jj tubes. This really got me beyond pissed off.

I understand that all tubes are made in pretty much one factory, but if you have the tubes listed with jj on them, I expect to receive tubes labeled with JJ on them! I have been building amps for 10 years now, and I have never received genuine JJ tubes that were not labeled properly. This was a major letdown for me.

Despite this setback, I will say that the customer service at TubeDepot was decent. They were responsive to my complaints and offered to send me a replacement set of tubes. However, I am still waiting for them to arrive, so I can't say for sure if they will be the real deal or not.

Overall, my experience with TubeDepot was not great. The delay in shipping and the incorrect labeling of the tubes really put a damper on things. I hope that they can improve their quality control in the future so that other customers don't have to go through the same frustration that I did.

TubeDepot Disappointing Experience with TubeDepot's Customer Service: A Review

As someone who has recently dealt with a rather unfortunate experience with TubeDepot, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the matter. Unfortunately, I did not receive my order, and I must say that the customer service experience I had was quite frustrating, to say the least.

Not only did TubeDepot fail to offer any form of assistance or an apology for the issue at hand, but I was also met with a rather rude and dismissive attitude from their representative. Needless to say, this left a rather sour taste in my mouth and led me to reconsider ever returning to their site in the future.

Overall, I must say that I was quite disappointed by this experience and would strongly recommend anyone thinking of shopping on TubeDepot to do so with caution. TubeDepot Disappointed with TubeDepot's Faulty Product and Slow Replacement Process

I have had a rather unfortunate experience with TubeDepot recently. I ordered something from their website back in December and received my order the following month. However, things took a turn for the worse when I discovered that one of the items I received was faulty - a dud, if you will. It's disappointing to find out that the product was not checked properly before it was shipped out to me, causing me so much inconvenience.

To add insult to injury, this dud was so badly microphonic that it nearly caused one of my speakers to blow out. The last thing I want to deal with is the hassle of returning an item that was not satisfactory in the first place.

Unfortunately, my bad experience didn't end there. After sending back the faulty item, I have been waiting for a replacement for a whopping two months now. To say that I am frustrated would be an understatement. As a customer, I think it's reasonable to expect that a replacement should be sent out in a timely manner, especially when it's been more than enough time for TubeDepot to have rectified the situation.

I don't mean to sound overly negative, as there are many positive reviews about TubeDepot out there. However, my experience has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated with this particular company. I can only hope that my situation will be resolved soon - and that TubeDepot can take measures to ensure that issues like mine are avoided in the future.

TubeDepot Disappointing Customer Service Experience with TubeDepot

I recently purchased a high-quality tube from TubeDepot, and while the price was definitely on the higher end compared to other places, I was willing to pay a premium for the peace of mind and quality service that I expected. Unfortunately, my experience did not exactly live up to my expectations.

Despite formal instructions that were agreed upon between myself and the customer service team at TubeDepot, the product I ordered was shipped in a way that ignored these arrangements. This resulted in extra, unreasonable charges from the shipping carrier, which left me feeling extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with my purchase.

I recently had a disappointing experience with TubeDepot and wanted to share my thoughts with you.
