In July 2021 I paid for new roof with 15 year 'no worries' warranty from Total Home Roofing. They completed the job, however had to return 2 times to repair some small issues with installation.
In August this year I noticed water intrusion damage in my kitchen. I attempted to contact THR as I had a warranty- no calls returned, apparently, they are out of business.
After hiring an adjuster and filing insurance claim an engineer was sent to determine the source of the water intrusion. He found the plumbing boot over the kitchen had been improperly installed/sealed and has been leaking since the roof was installed.
I now have mold in kitchen walls, saturated drywall over 3/4 of kitchen and cabinetry has fallen off walls due to water adsorption. The estimate to repair my kitchen is currently at $35,000
Claimed loss: Unable to use kitchen resulting in excessive food bill for last 60 days ($400)2 visits to physician due to respiratory events triggered by mold ($200)
Desired outcome: Compensation for the repair of my kitchen/home and roofEstimated costs from adjuster $57,000
