TokyoTreat

I recently tried out TokyoTreat, a subscription box that promises to deliver a monthly assortment of Japanese snacks and sweets directly to your doorstep. While I found the items included in the box to be enjoyable and intriguing, I had a few issues with the company's business practices that ultimately led me to give them a low rating.

The first problem I encountered was that I was unknowingly signed up for a subscription service, even though I only intended to purchase one box as a special treat. When I was charged for a second box without my consent, I tried to cancel the subscription and get a refund. However, despite reaching out to the company multiple times, I was unable to get a response. By the time they finally got back to me, it was too late to cancel the next shipment, and I was left with a product that I did not want or need.

Furthermore, when I attempted to cancel my subscription through the company's website, I found that the process was confusing and visually deceptive. It was difficult to tell whether or not my cancellation had gone through, and it seemed like the company was intentionally trying to make it hard for customers to opt-out of the service.

While I did enjoy trying out some new and interesting snacks through TokyoTreat, I would caution others against signing up for this particular subscription. The company's lack of transparency and responsiveness left a bad taste in my mouth, and I ultimately felt like I did not get my money's worth.
