Tire Kingdom I got a oil change and ended up with a broken fuel pump sensor

I got an oil change and ended up with a broken fuel sensor. I made an appointment for an oil change at 2pm at the tire kingdom on 1700 Ne 163rd st North Miami Beach Fl 33162. After I got my oil change, once I started the car I was having issues. I told the mechanic at the tire kingdom (his name is James and the managers name is Robert) and asked for my car to be placed on the shop's computer and was told no. I called my mechanic and ask him to look at the car. I started the car again which was still giving me issues and started driving, while driving the car was losing power as I accelerating and made it to my mechanic shop and when he removed the cover he right away saw a sensor for the engine broken located directly under the engine cover, I contacted tire kingdom and told them of the issue and I told them I was returning the car to their business while leaving my mechanic shop, my car stop in the middle of the street and I had to get it towed, plus I had to get a Lyft to a rental car company to get a rental car. When trying to call back tire kingdom I was hanged up on and told the manger left for the day and no one was there to assist with the issue.

Desired outcome: I need my car repaired and rental fees to be paid from tire kingdom

Tire Kingdom damage to car

I took my car in for four tires, alignment and oil change. They did a test drive but didn't close hood (must have had tool or rag stopping it as it is heavy hood) the hood flew up during test drive ruing the hood and smashing wipers and marking up rubber cover. They said they would replace with new hood sent us to some place to have done but then said it had to go through their insurance because over $1000 worth of damage. We keep getting told insurance needs to come out and look at it but they never call back to set up appointment. We paid $1060 for tires, alignment and oil change and left with ruined hood on very nice car and they gave us 2 air fresheners for our aggravation. I love this car and it is causing me such stress to have to go through all this. It happened December 28, 2020

Desired outcome: Hood replaced

Tire Kingdom Wait time

I had a scheduled appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. They were taking customers who were going to spend more money. I just had tires placed on another vehicle in my household and spent quite a bit of money. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was told they were too busy and it was going to be a 4 hour wait. If someone has an appointment, it should be honored before others are serviced. I have a busy schedule also. I also purchased tires at the same place for my own vehicle several months ago. It may be time for me to find another company that honors appointments.

Tire Kingdom service given multiple times

On 3/17/20 I went to tk in sarasota, fl store # 61016 for new tires and rattle of drivers side front end. Was told I needed tires as expected, also needed lower control arm with tie rod and alignment. So be it, not surprised, I asked should I do both sides while I was there and being my car had 94, 353 miles. Was told no drivers side is fine, 2 days later I went back to store due to car pulling to right, was told they could explain why, but that the alignment was off, was re aligned for free. Car was still pulling to right after I left store, also rattle on passenger side front now. I could not get back to store to rectify issue until following tuesday (3/27/20), was told after examination of car that tie rod end installed by them had hole.in it and that sometimes they faulty parts, also the boot over my cv shaft had a hole in it and that cv shaft needed replacing, also passenger side front needed control arm and tie rod end. I asked how that was possible being they examined car a week earlier and said it was fine. Was told that happens after car is driven for days sometimes. Mind you I had only driven my car 103 miles since initial fix. Original bill$1964.30 second bill $1235.87. Not accecptable that car needed another $1235 of work after being told it was fine 103 miles ago, major suspension parts surely cannot go bad in 103 miles. After I expressed frustration at major issue being told I had 103 miles later, when being told initially that side was fine manager took $30 off my bill, then did not get my car back due to wrong parts being delivered multiple times for another 4 days. Customer service horrible, staff was polite but trying to insult my inteligence by saying it was normal for those parts to go bad so soon.

Tire Kingdom Service

On July 27th I bought my 2017 Dodge Ram to tire Kingdom on Hwy 200 in Ocala to have my tires replaced ( they didnt have them in stock so I had to return a week later) At that time TK told me they did an inspection and told me that I needed new brakes and rotors, and they gave me a quote of $596.41- to have the brakes replaced. At that time I declined the brake work, On August 7th 2019 I returned to TK to have tires put on my 2017 Ram. I explained I wanted to do the brakes but I wanted heavy duty brakes for possibly towing a 5th wheel in the future. Tire Kingdom employee called and gave me a quote including new rotors, and life time heavy duty brakes. Tire Kingdom also said that my shocks and struts were bad and needed replacing.I gave the go a head on the brakes and passed on the shocks and struts. About the beginning of September I noticed the brakes making a loud squeaking noise. The noise continued so I went back to TK and told the employeethe brakes were squeaking-they said that was normal that the pads had to get worn in and to give it time. The squeaking continued so before I took the truck back to tire kingdom I took the truck to 2 ase mechanics to check the brakes and they both said that "cheap pads" were put on and I should go back to Tire Kingdom. November 7th I took the truck back to tire kingdom-told them at tire kingdom that the squeaking continued and seemed to get louder. THIS TIME they told me the squeaking breaks were due to faulty shocks. Tim said that they told us the truck needed shocks (and gave us a quote of almost $1000) (2 ase certified mechanics AND the DODGE dealership said the shocks were good and didnt need replacing) and because of that the truck was putting more weight on the brakes causing the brakes to squeak. I left because at this point I knew I had been taken-AGAIN In December I made an appointment to return to have the brakes looked at but became ill and was unable to get back there. I finally went back a few weeks ago and explained to to Tim that the problem with the brakes continued. TIm then said "We told you that you needed new shocks and your killing the brakes." I then told him that I brought it to the DODGE DEALER and they said the shocks are fine, there is nothing wrong with them-Tim responded with"Of course the dealer doesn't want anything to be wrong with there vehicles" . I then stated that $1839 later and 6 months later my brakes were still squeaking an I had lost my patience, and wanted it fixed correctly and the pads changed. (FYI-I didn't do ANY towing as planned because the purchase of my 5th wheel fell through) Tim made an appointment for me to bring in my truck to have the pads changed BUT I HAD TO PAY FOR LABOR= approx $300. This is unacceptable, the brakes were never done correctly from the beginning. If I needed "SHOCKS AND STRUTS" why didnt they put that on the first quote when they inspected the truck on 7/27/19?
Why should I have to pay for labor 6 months later when I complained about the brakes from day one?

Tire Kingdom Poorly done front brake job that almost killed my family

I been a long time customer, but not anymore. I dropped off my Lexus to have the front brakes service. I picked up the car later that day without any issues. The next morning I was on my way to go have lunch with my family. I went stop for a traffic light and realized my vehicle was not stopping. I noticed that my brake pedal went all the way to the floor board in order to stop and avoid crashing into the car in front. My vehicles dashboard lit up like a pinball machine letting me know that something was wrong with my brakes. I managed to safely pull over to the side of the road and discovered that my brake fluid container was completely empty. I managed to drive slowly back to the store where I had my service done. I was told by one of the manager (Anthony) that the mechanic had left for the day and that I should return on Tuesday. Anthony filled my vehicle with brake fluid and I drove away thinking that the incompetent mechanic just forgot to fill my vehicle with brake fluid. By the way, according to Anthony, the mechanic who service my brakes was name Lester. When I reached my destination, something inside of me told me to look under my tires. I was surprise to find a brake fluid leak coming from the inside of my front drivers side tire. I'm guessing, Lester forgot to tighten the brake line after installing my brakes. I called the manager, Anthony who instructed me to return with my vehicle to the store. I hesitantly and slowly drove back to the store with my family to drop off my car. I dropped off my vehicle and had to Uber to my other destination. Approximately one hour later, Anthony called me letting me know that my car was fixed. I believe, Anthony or another uncertifiied mechanic tighten the brake line and filled my vehicle with brake fluid again, since he told me earlier that all the mechanics were gone for the day. I been meaning to go back in person to complain but I been busy working. I'm taking time out of my busy schedule to let whoever is in charge at the corporate office know about my terrible experience and how lucky my family and I were to safely walk away from someone's negligence. Hopefully your company retrains and takes disciplinary action against this mechanic to avoid any loss of lives or future lawsuits.

Tire Kingdom rebate program

Just a note to let you know that your rebate program is not only ridiculously slow and irritable, but speaking only for myself, it has driven me AWAY from ever messing with Tire Kingdom again.

I actually found the staff at your store to be great, helpful and professional. They did everything they said and the experience was excellent and your prices (such as tire prices go, ) were fair.

Unfortunately, the entire experience has been undermined by the shabby way you can't handle a simple, and lousy 30 dollar rebate.
Rebates have a bad reputation as it is, but your program is the poster-child of rebate incompetence.

I see no point in returning to Tire Kingdom in the future for the sole reason of the way you handle your rebates. By now, it's not about the measly $30.00, I've written that off already, as I don't expect to ever see it.

Just letting you know that (I my opinion, ) you would have been better off offering no rebate than to mess with the absurd program you're running now.

Have a good day.

Tire Kingdom your corporate survey

Just reading what is says here in your corporate complaint comment section baffles me. " Write as much detail as possible"

Yet you send out a a survey for your customers to fill out on how the service they experience was at your local Tire Kingdom by restricting them to length of their comments.

I noticed here you want a minimum of 350 characters. In your survey you limit them to 1200 characters. I may of missed it but I did not see any indicator on how many characters I was writing or how many I had left.

So I write this detailef comment for you only to when pressing send it warns me, I wrote to many characters to submit it. I as a consumer is not going to take the time figuring out whats not as important enough to take out. So I just cancel the whole survey. Then if you were kind enough to edit my comments removing what is not as IMPORTANT.

You go to submit it now after correcting it only to find out the time you took kicks you out because the survey timed out wanting you to start all over again. Now that really shows your concerns and appeciation for the customer even taking this long survey.

We own a customer service business and if someone wants to take the time to ramble on like I am now to make my point, then our customers appreciate all the details. If we leave a so so review, then we have to take the time to contact the person who filled out the report asking them 50 questions on details they left out as our customers are not happy with our reports they paid us to do. Part of our job is to clean up the reports not eliminate details.

By the time it took to write you going over by 300 characters, my survey would have been null and void for me to even submit. In this corporate complaint here, now the customer is pissed off at you and now you give them the time to vent.

I haven't even gotten to the service issues yet and even mentioned what you ask your customers for a survey in return for helping you out that takes longer then the oil change they got. This general survey is asking for way to much information unless you are willing to give them a free oil change in return for it. We pay our people to get the kind of information your asking for plus get reimbursed for the oil change to ask for this much information.

I myself said it's not worth my time filling out this survey for what you just put them through. A general survey should be no longer then 10 questions to keep their attention. Your just driving your customers away knowing that next time you will be asking them again to take the exact survey. It took over s hour for me to take the original survey and these comments Im volunteering my time to give you. I'm just sharing my professional opinion as a courtesy to you.

Tire Kingdom price of wheel mount and balance of four tires thru tire rack

Purchased tires from Tire Rack Cust # [protected]. Tires were confirmed delivered om 11/7. Called to setup appointment nothing available until Monday 11/11 at 4pm. Arrived at store 3:50pm to have my tires installed . Spoke with Eric Laine at counter was told the installation cost was $137 . I showed the Eric my phone with the email showing the cost that I was suppose to be paying $60.64. Eric refused to even look at my phone with the Tire Rack pricing. He explained that there were fees that were not included that had to be added. I do not understand how the price jumped $70. I should of taken my tires and left at that point. I was finally charged $127. 66 charged. I have attached my screen shots from Tire Rack. I told Eric I was going to wait for the car. It took them 2 hrs to install 4 tires with an appointment left the store at 6pm that night.

Tire Kingdom staff sales agents x2

On 11/03/19 I went to the above tire kingdom regarding a nail in my left rear tire.
I was told not patchable needs replacement.
Estimate by young male agent given, I told him i'd call back to schedule.
On 11/4/19 2pm appt for 4 cooper tires with gary. Assisted with financing, new appraisal due to sale.
Assured me car would be done in less than 2 hours.
I called in at 330pm, 430pm and final pick up 5pm. I was told my brakes were good. And they drove car and all was good.
I drove 500 ft and service engine soon light with 4wd light and trac. Returned. Gary did computer check, told me he reset the alarm lights and checked under the hood and said,
"all hoses are on".
I left and next morning all 3 lights on. I called and said i'd be back after work. I was driving 90 miles and wanted to assure car was safe.
Young male (same as previous day), did computer check, said "its a toyota thing" lifted hood, shielded
Hand to left of cabin filter case, shook the case, opened it and said "all your hoses are good". Walked
Away from me inside.
I followed and questioned what it meant, gary and young male said just"coincidental" it came on after they worked on my car.
I had to tell young male not to talk snotty to me. He had an attitude, not professional when a customer is asking questions regarding a $250+labor estimate to replace the"mess air flow sensor.
I left saying i'd reschedule.

Wednesday am I went to clearwater toyota. Rick, service agent. I told him the above scenario.
He did complete check, lifted the hood and said," did they go under your hood"? I said yes they told me all hoses on. Rick showed me the hose that was off making my sensor light go on. Hose reconnected. 6 days later no lights on.

So this 1 year alignment package I had to consent to I will not be using as I won't be returning to a tire kingdom. I now realize why my friends said they'll rip you off, don't go there! Returning would only question further tampering to my vehicle.

This is fraud, malicious tampering if an auto and needs to be stopped!
I expect a refund of the alignment $124.99 I paid, and a response from a corporate person.

Tire Kingdom brakes / one specific worker

I went to this store about 2 months ago because my brakes were making sounds. I have a leased car and they told me they had to order the brakes from the dealer so I waited one day and I took the car in again and they were changed. Today I took in the car again to this same store because the brakes are making a weird noise. When I'm telling Jorge (the person who was helping me) why I was there an incredibly rude store manager whose name is Alex Palomino jumped in my conversation and screamed to the whole store with an attitude ("that's because you got the cheapest type of brakes, of course that's going to happen"). This is your store manager?! Unbelievable. He lacks social skills and manners overall. I went on to tell him I was NEVER told initially on my first visit that the brakes being order at the dealer by this store where the cheapest ones and that anyway I wouldn't be able to afford the most expensive ones and he just walked away rudely and left me talking to myself. I don't understand how a company that's been around for so long has this incompetent rude kid as a manager. For me to be able to pay for this service it's a sacrifice and to have him scream that I'm cheap to the whole store that's just low and degrading. I am a 55 year disabled woman going through a lot and this just hurt me. I really hope you look at this and take some type of action because this guy can not be treating people this way and expecting to get away with it.

Tire Kingdom I waited 1 hour and 1 employee approached me to check in

I came in the morning shift to get an oil change . They said two hour wait .. they said to come back at 3 pm it will be a better wait time .
I can back at 3 pm . It is now 4pm and no service . Not one employee has approached me to check in . It seems that they are short staff . I totally respect that but a manager needs to be aware that every person that walk in through those front doors need to be taken care of .
I will never come back to any of these location. Bad service no customer service.

Tire Kingdom repair on axles

Nissians link: http://isre.us/GG3lmD. Video of vehicle inspection
I took my car to Tire Kingdom on Park Boulevard to have the front end service done and they told me that the axles were bad so they replace both axles now at Tire Kingdom they're saying that the left axle was not inserted into the transmission correctly causing transmission fluid to flood my engine so they're going to replace the left axle at $805 then they're going to test the transmission to see if any damage was done to the transmission if the transmission is damaged my warranty does not cover it because it was due to a faulty repair that means that Tire Kingdom will be responsible for the cost of the transmission if it is damaged

Tire Kingdom diagnosis and customer satisfaction

Single Mom to a 1 yr old - owner of a small business- truck had engine light on, diagnosed as coil/spark plugs - recommendation was change all - I agreed - $1500 later the engine light still on and they said they couldn't fix. New mechanic looked at truck and said parts were cheap - I returned truck to get all my old parts on and was only refunded $238 plus tax back.
1. They did not fix my issue
2. They put on cheap parts and made me pay for the labor
3. The truck went in and out of the shop TWICE and has still not been fixed.
I have had two rental cars and I'm still without a truck and I paid $1500
I am disappointed and feel taken advantage of on every level. I dealt with Chris Kerr, manager. I have been in Sarasota for 22 years and cater to many affluent clients and I am also the manager of a Women's Support group on FB and (3k local moms) and I've made my case very clear in the community about this problem. I would love to receive a full refund back - I do not fee it is right to pay for labor when they haven't fixed the problem and put cheap parts on my truck (Hemi engine). Chris knows I am a single mom trying to run a business and I feel he mistreated this entire situation. I walked away with one spark plug and one coil left in truck and paid $1200!?!?!?
Please please have someone call me regarding this. [protected]
I do not want to take any farther action and will contact newspaper and abc news if I have to. $1200 for a spark plug and a coil. Robbery.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience. I appreciate your time and hope to hear from someone soon.

Tire Kingdom time and charge fee

Hello on 09/15/2019 i took my car in for a front end alignment, work was good, my complaint is that i was charged a $ 12.50 shop fee, for i guess services but i went in at 10:35 am and car was done at 12:47pm (car was done way before that) but my car was stuck up on the lift, and they couldnt get it down, had to wait for them to go to hardware store to get a part. before they put my car on lift, it broke they said cercuit board was giveing them trouble all week, they got the lift to work and as soon as they put my car on and lifted it, it broke again and they couldnt get it to lower down..If they were aware of haveing problems with lift, then why take a chance on it, AND I WAS STILL CHARGED A SHOP FEE ? For being there for over 2 hours when i was told it would take on average an hour..THEY SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST DROPED THE SHOP FEE.

Tire Kingdom oil change/ a/c cooler damaged

On Tuesday 09/03/2019 I went to make the change of oil to my car. When I got into my car after they made the oil change I felt a very strange smell, I thought that oil had fallen into the engine and that was why it was the smell. I left and I drove around 5 minutes to get home. At about 10pm I got in my car I was surprised that the a / c did not cool, the smell was still in the car and it sounded very strange. The next morning I took the car to Tire Kingdom to give me an explanation of why the a / c did not cool if everything was working perfectly when I gave it to them. After waiting 20 minutes a technician came out telling me that my car was 6 years old and that was why it was failing, I told him that my car had been fine that in May he had an inspection by the dealer and the a / c was in perfect condition. The technician very rudely replied I did not ask you that. I told him that they did something to my a/c and I didn't give it to them like that and the technician told me if you want us to fix it it costs $200 and I told him that I didn't plan to pay him anything, my a/c was cooling. They had an hour and a half looking for a leak that supposedly my car has at the end they told me that this is what my car has. I told him my car has been working very well since they had it, the cooler no longer works and it shakes while driving. I asked them to see the cameras to see what they did to my car and they refused. Somehow if they didn't do anything to my car why they agreed to check it for more than an hour? If I as a company do not feel any responsibility as well as they say I do not touch anything. I feel it is not fair what they did something and they wanted to charge me $ 200. I need this resolved, what is happening is not fair.

Tire Kingdom wheel alignment

On 9/3/19 I went to your sandalfoot location in florida and did 3 new tires and also asked about doing a wheel alignment for my 2012 prius c hybrid. Your tech that day is name armen took the car and did tires changes which are fine but when we picked up the car the wheel is turned 75 degrees sideways and said to us that he did wheel alignment but he cannot do "steering wheel sensor reset" for a prius and we would have to go to a dealership. So my complains is why would you do wheel alignment on the first place if my car is hybrid and cannot be reset with your computers?
This is my 18 year old daughter who drives this car! Now martin (manager) who we called to complain said "we cannot help you" take it to a toyota dealership! Toyota will charge us more than we paid you, is there a way for tire kingdom to cover those fees from toyota due to your unprofessional staff? Please call me asap of email me back what can be done by you that we can all resolve this asap before we get to an accident due to wheel being crooked.

Tire Kingdom replacing an alternator

I was told that I needed an alternator for my 2001 Lexus, and when I saw the part alone was 400, I asked was it new. I was told its a rebuilt alternator. I reached out to a mechanic I trust and he agreed that that was extremely overpriced and to ask the specific model. I then reached out to tire kingdom and was told "we got it from Napa auto parts down the street." I then asked Jayson, the manger, why if Napa sells the same part for a little over 200, are you charging me DOUBLE for the part, when I could have had my friend pick up the part and drop it off! I get you need a little mark up, but 100%? When I mentioned this to Jayson his reply was "That's what the computer printed out". I was floored. This is an abuse of power and a poor reflection on customer experience. Please advise prior to me filing a complaint with the Florida authorities. Thank you

Tire Kingdom oil change

I had an oil change done at this establishment on August 17, 2019. Prior to this my car was running fine. The next day I noticed my car was trying to stall at stoplights. On August 22, 2017 my battery died while I was at work . I called tire Kingdom and told them what happened. I spoke to Alex he told me that my car battery could die at any given moment and they were not responsible. He also said they did not have road service and I had to bring the car there if I wanted them to look at it. My car battery is only two years old. I did not leave anything on in the car that would have drain the battery. My brother is A master mechanic and told me that a battery could not die within a couple days of been checked. When I spoke to Alex I told him my employment was only a mile down from where the store was and he still would not offer assistance. I asked a coworker to jumpstart my car and when he open the hood he found the cap my Power steering Fluid off and sitting on the engine and the fluid was low.
I was not at all happy with the customer service that Alex gave me and he basically blew me off. Unless this matter is rectified I will no longer use tire Kingdom for my oil changes or any other services and I will share my experience with my coworkers and anyone I know. Please contact me via email.

Tire Kingdom tires and service

After doing business with this company for many years and after several vehicles. I had an issue with my tires towing in and wearing. I purchased the lifetime alignment and road hazard for my Michelin defenders. After my regular mechanic noticed the excessive wear I took it back to this tire kingdom. I have these regularly rotated, balanced and aligned due to the lifetime service contract. After tire kingdom inspecting the issue/complaint they refused to accept responsibility, even though all 4 tires were worn the same.
I have never been noticed of any issue after each service they had done, but the rear tires being worn indicate that it was present when they rotated, balanced and aligned the last time which was 3 months before. They told me it was because of my worn out lower ball joints, which were replaced almost a year ago and I was suspicious that they would have failed this soon. They said they could not repair or align my vehicle and tires because of the failed ball joints.
I have since taken this vehicle, the same day, to the mechanic who installed the ball joints, there were NO failures indicated. He advised to take it to a different shop, (lake Tire & auto) who then aligned the vehicle without issue and also inspected the ball joints and showed no failure. I have lost usage and life from these tire due to tire kingdoms mechanics and managements lack of concern or attention to the failure that apparently was occurring before at least one if not many of my services they performed. Pro rating this is not fair, the wear was left unattended until a separate mechanic found it. Replacement of these tires is the right solution.
