OMG. I have been a Thriftbooks customer for literally YEARS. I always order 'Like New' or 'Very Good.' I ordered "Heart Thoughts" by Louise Hay for my friend's birthday this coming Monday. 'Like New' wasn't available, but 'Very Good' was, and I've had good luck with this in the past, so I went ahead and ordered.
The book arrived today (Saturday.) It has yellow highlighted paragraphs throughout, someone's name written over the entirety of the exterior pages in ink, and the cover is so badly worn it looks like a bear rubbed his [censored] on it for a fortnight. It's 'Barely Acceptable' (actually not even that, it's disgusting!) So much for my friend's birthday gift.
Claimed loss: The cost of this book and the shipping, plus the cost of my time and new book cost if I can find it to buy it from Barnes and Noble tomorrow (Sunday), if they even have it in stock.
Desired outcome: Just please fix it. I am beyond exasperated. Please refund if you don't have a like new or (actual) very good version available. Thank you.
