On 15Th September 2023 I and a colleague visited the Ritz Carlton for afternoon tea.

The experience started off in a very disappointed way. We were both given pork In sandwiches of which I specifically ask that not all sandwiches should contain pork. It was not brought to our attention which sandwiches contained pork. Unfortunately the person who did not eat pork had bitten into the sandwich with pork.

I brought this to the attention of our waiter and a male person whom I thought was the Maitre De or supervisor came to the table, we were rather shocked and surprised at his response

He stated that he and his staff were confused as we did not want pork but yet we ordered champagne. We were astounded and confused at his comment We were very offended by his remarks.

Despite our order for tea was taken on arrival we waited a considerable time and had to ask

the waiter for our tea. The same male person Maitre de or supervisor again comment that

because we had champagne he assumed we weren’t ready for our tea.

What was evident was other diners who also had champagne on their table were also served their tea.

The majority of the staff were polite but failed to attend to our needs with compliance.

Unfortunately the low standard of service and rudeness was very disappointing.

To conclude, this is about the worst experience we have ever had at any restaurant. I mostly certainly did not expect that sort of behaviour from somewhere that prides itself of excellence .

I do hope you organisation will look into my complaint.

You may wonder why I waited so long to bring this to your attention. I had hoped to put the matter behind me but somehow I am still very upset and disappointed.
