Tag Mobile The absolutely worst service ever!

1. Zero communication when approved.
2. Never less than 20 minutes holding for customer service. Having to confirm you're still waiting every 4 minutes.
3. Never a cellular signal... Always "waiting for network"!
4. Maps either stays frozen (70%) or shows me driving 1,000 yards parallel to the road I'm on(30%/ driving through building's).
5. Customer service provides the same exact ineffective reset and a list of settings. 5 times for me now.
6. Customer service confirmed another phone I have is compatible... Another wasted 2 hours to find that is isn't!
7. Their only solution is to purchase a better phone or be charged $100 for cancelling early!

I've had this phone for 3 months and it has cost me an incredible amount of time and money with wasted gas, driving lost and unable to call someone for directions. Sitting on hold for 20-30 minutes per 11 of my calls, resetting and reapplying the data port settings 5 times (4 with this junk phone and once with the "compatible" phone that wasn't compatible)!
I have to wait 3 more months before porting my lifeline to a reputable provider or pay $100 more for this awesome $7 phone!
***Tag mobile is by far the most ridiculous waste of my life to date!***

Recommendation: Avoid tag mobile at all costs!

Tag Mobile I wouldn't if I were you...

November 2024- Don't go with this company. I have been with them for 20 years round about and they have gone downhill increasingly during that time. Recently my son is eligible and tried to get lifeline through them. Their systems are so screwed up that each time when he was approved they "couldn't" complete the transaction because they charge a $5 fee for the phone and by then it had dropped off pre approval and they claimed that this made it impossible to move forward. I had to make a complaint with the FCC to get the lifeline application away from them and he went with another company and had his phone within a week- shipped within 48 hours.

That's not all though. Because of all the problems I have decided to leave them as well- his phone has so much better signal with that other provider. I had transferred my number from my landline phone to them some 20 years ago. I want my number back now that I want to leave. They took 3 days to respond and didn't even give me the transfer information in that response. I have now written a second request with the information that they wanted and am waiting again. I will eventually get my number away from them even if I have to complain to the FCC again, then I am done with them.

Also, tip in this day and age- if you have a number that you want to keep I suggest highly that you transfer it to google voice (as a personal user). It will replace the number you can get through google there and then you can put the app on your phone and tell it to use that number on your phone for your calls. You can also use that app on tablets that are android based that are capable of video and audio to be able to make calls on the fly. In that way you keep your number safe and can still have lifeline as if you get a new lifeline number you just input it into google voice settings if it changes at any time, and your oldy but good phone number then routes to THAT number whatever number you tell it to, through the google voice app. This frees you up in this world of exceedingly poor lifeline customer service (with every carrier I and people I know have tried) that if necessary you can have the lifeline agency for your STATE forcibly remove that provider as your provider, they can keep their number, and frees you up to go where you want on a more rapid basis. If I do that right this second with Tag Mobile having my ported in number I'll lose my number that I ported in. Lesson learned, keep the number you're personally attached to away from lifeline providers. Live and learn and fool me once shame on you...

This porting out fiasco went on and on days and days with different reasons that they couldn't give me a transfer PIN. Finally I had HAD it and filed a complaint with the FCC. Miraculously, they immediately figured out how things work the very next morning and got me a working PIN. 24 hours later I had my phone number safely away from them. It feels like I've been battling for centuries and I am just heartily glad to be away from there at this point. If they ever wanted to know why after 20 years I'd leave...THIS, THIS crap is why.

Tag Mobile Maze fone

I have called them for over 4 months and they keep telling me that they dont have any fones in. Now doing that time I told them that the fone did not work and we went through 3 people and they told me to go to t mobile they would fix t mobile did not fix, and they say they do not have replacement fones or any fones they would not tell me that dont have any fone these are govt fones what are they doing with the fones they get from the govt and they will not give me a replacement telephone.

Desired outcome: need new fone sent to me, where are the govt fones something is wrong i am sure the govt gives plenty of fones to tag mobile.

Tag Mobile free government cell phone

I have been trying for this entire day to get a free government phone. The Tag Mobile sight freezes up and you cant even complete an application through them. I also tried iwireless and boomerang and assurance wireless. I was approved through the national verifier to receive my free government phone. I seriously believe there are none anymore. I dont understand.

Tag Mobile sorry phone

Worst experience vie ever had. Thought id finally get a phone and its a phone vie never even heard of and I'm disabled from my hands and cant use it. They wont even remove me from their account and cut phone off so I can find someone to accommodate my disabilities. Wont recommend to anyone who cant use their hand and I'm going to give them a poor review. They should do as they advertise and canceller without problems and not send out phones that they just wan get rid of. Customer service was horrible and apparently don't understand English as to I had to repat myself 5 times that I dint have a phone and gave me a number thou their online chat to call when I could find a phone until then they don't want to close out the account so I can find someone else to provide services to me.

Tag Mobile unusable handset and length of delivery of handset

I receive the Tag Mobile phone and turn it on and there is a getfreemo.com/ site that locks the phone useless.I waited since 04/03 and this phone not working.
I ordered phone on 04/03/2017. Waited until 04/17/17 to receive phone. opened box phone is locked and unuseable with a website locking phone called getfreemo.com/. The phone person keep hanging up on me when I call.
I ask them what is getfreemo.com/ this site that you put on the phone and please remove it so I can use the phone. Daniel said to go to the phones settings and the phone is locked on the getfreemo.com/ website. It is making the phone unusable. I want the tag mobile people to send out phones that work.
That dod not have nontransparent websites on it.
I dont want to see getfreemo.com/ on my phone preventing me to use the phone.

Tag Mobile lifeline service provider

Well to start in June I get approved for tag cause I wanted to transferee from another lifeline company finally 6 weeks later phone shows up they say I can keep my old number then that didn't work so I cancel other service cause I don't want to get in trouble for having to lifelines I think all well then I get a Tex saying I have 100 mins left how can that be I call tag they say my account was denied by lifeline and my phone is gonna be shut off and I have to reapply I call lifeline they say I was denied cause tag didn't update to them my number so I reapply with tag. 3 days later I call to get an update they say lifeline denied paying the activation fee but tag wants to keep me as an customer and tag will pay activation which its their fault in the first place so now a week later I get a paper from lifeline and tag signup team misspells my last name after me spelling it out to her n as in Nancy you get the point it's says if there's any mistakes call tag to have correction I do and now they tell me once they submit it my name can't be changed then they say they want me to reapply again I'm trying to explain to the non English speaking person that tag already paid the fee once if I apply again I will get denied on that part then they tellme go ahead and complete the lifeline end knowing my last name will get me denied I just want to have a phone that I won't have to wonder what day will it get shut off not to mention my number is still on from the original phone they sent me which they say isn't even on and dosent exsist I've been go round and round with customer service for months and I'm told something different by each one of them shouldn't they have notes on what's going g on when they pull up your account I'm so confused on this all I'm sure there's so much more I can add to all this and I will as I remember hope the stress and problems don't happen to you with just something that is so simple for every other phone company in the world

Tag Mobile don't be scammed by tag mobile

Over a year ago I received a call for a free Gov’t cell phone …. I never received it from Tag mobile and forgot about it

I received a letter from them to renew TAG mobile Account # 963862. It’s been over 6 months now I have been trying to get them to close Account # 963862 that is being used by someone out there.

I just finished speaking with a supervisor who said he will close it [protected]).

I am breaking up with Tag Mobile. As a loyal customer of nearly 20 years I've been treated without much regard. When I signed up I was guaranteed 15GB of data and that if I ever hit that limit that I'd still recieve data service, just throttled back. They recently changed providers and we got new sims. THAT was a nightmare, my sim didn't work and I waited almost a week before they addressed that while my service completely didn't work. When I asked about what was being said about the new data limit and referenced what I had been promised, they removed the promised data that was in excess of what they were currently offering off my account. They told me that there would be no throttled back data after that limit, it would just go dead in violation of what I was promised. When I asked for information that would allow me to access the new voicemail, it took over a week to get back to me on that. And since I signed up you can't believe anything any of the staff tell you, half of them have no clue what they are talking about, and one told me a lie and directed me to buy a phone from them.

Since, clearly, they don't value loyalty, agreements, quality, or competence I went off looking elsewhere. Other carriers answered questions promptly, they know what they are talking about and dealing with them feels like dealing with other grown, intelligent adults in a business transaction- how refreshing. Dealing with Tag Mobile feels like a mother dealing with children who you have to follow around constantly and check up on to get a job done right.

I'm so done and I don't recommend them for anyone else. What they offer others offer and possibly with better customer service and attention to facts...Tag mobile is no longer anything special.

Safetalk has a pretty great plan going...

Horrible company. Called customer service they said they were closed and opened at 8;00 am central time . I called at 9:20 central time when I got that beauty of a lie on their recording. They said they used Verizon ,tmobile and sprint on their website. After I signed up for lifeline service after putting in my zip code and address in they said I would have service. Then was told they only used T-mobile in my area not verizon or sprint. I signed up because we have verizon service in my area but not T-mobile service which is terrible. Then I had a chat with a person that tried to blow me off and couldn't spell as good as a first grader. I got an email that said I was approved by tag lifeline and approved by the national verifier service and my sim card would be mailed within 7 days. He kept telling me to call back to check on my application and couldn't grasp what it meant that I was approved and verified and my sim card would be mailed in 7 days. He just kept saying call back in 24 hours and i told him I called at 9:20 central time and they were closed but the recording saying they opened at 8 central time. He said that happens sometimes. I think this company is a total scam lying to people just to take the govt money and steal their info. They should be thrown off of the lifeline program. Totally incompetent and clueless scammers. I wish I could post the chat. It's like something out of a nightmare and with a person that has no business chatting because he can't spell and shows how terrible the company is letting someone who represents them chat with customers and can't spell basic words. Of course he probably makes minimum wage with this scamming company. Stay far away from Tag Mobile. They are horrible.

I was approved for a SIM card with unlimited talk , text, and data. The sim card did not have anytime on it when I received it, and they will not answer my phone calls or emails. Their mobile app is trying to make me purchase a monthly plan. What a scam. I do believe all Tag Mobile does is steal social security numbers and birthdays and resell them. There is some sort of scam. Don't even mess with them.

I worked for Tag as an agent signing people up for government phones. When customers started having issues I tried to help resolve them thru tag and it was a nightmare so I did not want to promote any more business for this company and quit. They still owe me a lot of money and don't even want to talk to me.they are stealing from me and you and the government

I have been on lifeline for 3 years I know I qualify. I have been stonewalled for 7 weeks now.
One lie after another. I called on the 17th March 2016 after being told 7 different times that YES I would receive the phone and get one excuse after another excuse.
First the indian boy told me there was a backlog and the phone were on backorder and I would not receive it for another 2 to 3 weeks this is after waiting 7 weeks already! Then his sister gets on the phone and tells me that they lost all of my personal information. Then when I get upset she lies again and says Oh it is TAG's fault not ours? Not Ours? I thought I was talking to TAG!
Well I ask to speak to a supervisor and much to MY surprise I get "Julia Roberts"! Fancy that!. She procedes to tell me that TAG mobile LOST my information, when I get upset that my SS#, DOB, address, phone number are now lost she lies to me again said Oh TAG didnt submit your information in a timely manner and Your Government rejected your application!
NOT a SINGLE truthful employee in the entire company.
They Lie to customers.
They steal money from our government.
They steal customers personal information for identy theift.
they lie about their location.
They make up fake name so you cannot make complaints against them.
This company should be investigated and shut down!

I recently applied for lifeline thru Tag mobile. I had to submit my proof 3 times. Anyway, after a couple days i checked to see the status, and I noticed nothing had been done. So I contacted them via live chat and was told they were having technical difficulties. So, I pushed for info. Then I was told everything on my app was good, that they were Just having technical difficulties, to please be patient, and give it a couple weeks. I told her (Julia) I couldn't wait that long and to please cancel my app. She tried to talk me out of it and when I persisted she suddenly said that after rechecking, that I was denied. I told her that was impossible because I've always had a life line and have Never been denied, having met "3" criteria of proofs. Then she said: Well you ate denied! Check with Your government! "My government"? Where the hell are these people? I feel something shady is going on which is why I'm complaining.

Tag mobile llc is in the fraud business, we have proof that tag mobile llc sells social security numbers as well as other customer proprietary info. They cheat the state as well as the consumer. Our team is dedicated to bringing this to an end. We have filed and have vigorously have associates dedicated into bringing tag mobile to the end of there cheating business days.
