Sure Health Advertising

It is more than time for Sure Health to remove the spokesperson in their ads. I am tired of always having to change the channel when "Ozymandias" come on to preach their message.

Desired outcome: Change commercial

Sure Health supposedly an insurance, ‘not!’

The worse commercial "Ever" please stop driving us insane with this ridiculously awful commercial and a fraud to all legit insurance companies! Can't believe they are trying to pass as a legit insurance company to supposedly help Canadians, not so! They take your money but no payment towards claims so stop false advertising this awful commercial, thanks

Sure Health can't connect on web site nor telephone [protected]

I have continously phoned Surehealth @ [protected] and have tried to review Surehealth website but to no prevail. Upon phoning the 1-800 number it doesn't state Surehealth but another insurance company. Surehealth have continued to withdraw monthly payments but has not paid for any medical. Surehealth did notify me via mail and phone call of the transferring to another company but now I have to pay for medical service rendered. It can be a routine physical and I get a bill that no deductible was paid. Surehealth did not mail a letter stating the change. I m very thankful that I have not become drastically ill to be told I do not have coverage.

Is Sure Health Legit?

Sure Health earns a trustworthiness rating of 94%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds Sure Health to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 28% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, Sure Health is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with Sure Health, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

We found clear and detailed contact information for Sure Health. The company provides a physical address, 2 phone numbers, and email, as well as 3 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.

Surehealth.ca has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

Surehealth.ca has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.

Surehealth.ca you are considering visiting, which is associated with Sure Health, is very old. Longevity often suggests that a website has consistently provided valuable content, products, or services over the years and has maintained a stable user base and a sustained online presence. This could be an indication of a very positive reputation.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • Despite a high level of trust, our investigation found issues with Sure Health's service, including poor customer service, lack of accountability, and responsibility to resolve complaints. Customers may face long wait times for responses, receive generic or unhelpful answers or no response at all. Only 28% of 0 complaints were resolved.
  • Surehealth.ca has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The surehealth.ca may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Sure Health protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Sure Health FRAUD

I was completely lied to regarding coverage. Everything that has ever been submitted as a claim, has been ignored. Not only did they not pay a dime on any calim - but, I have never received a statement of rejection of a claim -- in fact I have never received anything since I signed up for this insurance a year and a half ago! It's as if they do not exist.
I've been taken for thousands of dollars. I want them stopped before they rob & hurt any more trusting people.

IM FROM GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA. THANK YOU FOR THIS INFORMATION. I GUESS IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS. I HAVE A RARE LUNG DISEASE WHICH MAKES ME UNINSURABLE WITH ANY LEGITAMATE INSURANCE PROVIDER. IF THIS WASN THE CASE EVERYONE WOULD BE INSURABLE AND THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY WANT THEY WANT TO HAVE CLLIENTS FOR MANY YEARS SO THEY CAN SUCK EVERY LAST DIME OUT OF US. THEREFORE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP.

I had the very same experience just like Janet from Myakka City, FL. I sent $144.95 for over a year and one half. They didn't pay for anything even though the rep on the phone told me many lies about how SureHealth would pay. At the time I had no insurance and felt if I were to be hospitalized I would be covered. Thank God that I was healthy or I would be homeless still! This happened around 10 years ago and I wish I could get my hard-earned money back. I'm sure there are many other people that were ripped off, maybe if we all get together something good would come of this?

After it was too late I found a few "items" at their website.
Note: This contract is not protected by any state Life and Health Guarantee Association.
This discount program provided by Patriot Health, Florida, Inc. is not a health insurance policy and is not intended as a substitute for insurance. The program provides for discounts on health services from participating providers, and the range of the discounts will vary depending on the type of provider and the health services received. The program does not make payments to providers of health care services.

Sure Health These people are thiefs!

A rep of theirs Mike Kelly called me in April and offered me insurance through their company. Sold an outright lie when I asked if my dr was on their list... I found out in May he is not on the list. Called their [protected] # and he is not longer "selling the Sure Health plan." After talking with his manager, I was contacted by Cust Service who said I could cancel the policy by faxing a general letter to them, which I did and asked for a refund. They refunded the money I had paid on 5-30-07 and with drew it right back out of my bank account on 6-1-07. On 6-4-07 I called Cust Service and was told there was a qlitch in the system and that the money would be put back into my bank account. Expect it in two days. Today 6-6-07 I called them to see why the refund hadn't come through and now they tell me they refunded the money twice and taking it out of the account was their way of evening the mistake. Now I have to prove they didn't refund the money twice. My bank says they did not, which I already know. I call my bank every day and know what's going. These people are thiefs and I am going to report them to the Attorney General. Don't get swept in their deceitfulness, please.

I was lied to. I was told that I would have maternity benefits and whenever the EOB's came it said that I didn't have maternity benefits. They didn't pay for anything! Not to mention, I had to go to the ER a few times and even that wasn't covered. Whenever I tried to get my benefits appealed I was told to put it in writing. I did that. Then I was told that I had to have my doctor list my complications. I did that. After A LOT of jumping through hoops with these people, I was told that the appeal had to be from my doctor not from me. I got nothing but double talk and no service from these people. When I tried to complain to the people involved they basically said it wasn't their fault and to talk to somebody else. Vincent in claims and Kristen Sobieski an RN were the worst people I could ever talk to. Don't give these people any of your money! I canceled my policy and was told my premium would be refunded on a certain date. I called after that date to find out where my money was and they said that it was posted and to check with my bank. My bank said that it hadn't posted and that there were no pending deposits either. These people had the audacity to call me under a different name but same number to ask if I needed health insurance. The nerve!

I too was mislead into thinking I had health coverage, until I got sick. They will take your money for your so called policy but when it comes time for them to pay it always seems to be "not covered." I canceled my policy by fax (as they requested) but conviently they never received the fax and continued to withdraw from my account. They are a SCAM company and do not sign up for any program.

Sure Health Fraud and cheating!

These people outright lied telling us we would have health insurance for my father with a preexisting condition covered at 100% with no waiting period and $30 co-pays for Dr. visits. It was told three times. Once to myself from work, once to my wife from the phone at home and once to my mother from her phone. When we paid we called to get set up for an appt. and not only are there no Dr.s in our entire state under their so called plan they lied about the coverage. If you go to their website they have tons of Drs. listed making you think they are in network. Only to be told afterwards that they list all Drs, but it does not mean you can use them. They said they will refund our premium but not the the $125 administrative fee. This is how they rip people off and make their money. Not to mention that anything related to preexisting conditions has a 12 month waiting period. They said there was NO waiting period. They are preying on the elderly and sick. This is disgusting. Do not trust them or use their services.

I was looking for major medical insurance and when Sure Health called me they told me to cancel my other insurance they told me that they cover everything. They never told me it was a discount insurance. My card says insurance card right on it and then I have another card for discounts. November of 2007 I wasn't feeling good. I found a Dr. in network had to drive 2 hrs to see him but found out that I had ovarian cancer. Had to go through chemo, surgery, and as they don, t pay for ct scans. chemo oncologist I have to try and figure out what to do. I do not think they should get away with this. I wish somebody had answers for me.

My parent have been paying for SureHealth for 6 months & were told multiple times that it was health insurance and would cover MAJOR medical problems. My mother was diagnosed with cancer on 01/02/08 and had to be flown to a different hospital. She spent 3 days in the ICU, 4 days in a regular bed as well. During her stay she had to have a PET scan, an MRI, and 2 CT scans, along with minor surgery. Guess what! SureHealth originally said that they would not pay for her treatment because it was "out of network". Now they've decided to pay but what they will pay will hardly cover any of the medical bills. It wasn't until my parent's had to use their "insurance" did they find out that SureHealth is not insurance but a DISCOUNT CARD only. They could have gotten the same discount card for $15/month instead of paying $350/month. My mother's cancer treatments and medication are not covered at all, and my parents are facing the possibility of having to file medical bankruptcy. The worst part is that they had REAL medical insurance an was assured that the SureHealth plan was the same, if not better than the health insurance they had, and that was the only reason they changed over. Talk about fraud!

I have this insurance. The only thing I have had a problem with so far is finding a doctor. However when I found one I was satisfied. I have a 25 $ copay for appointments. I am only 31 but have several pre-existing conditions so this is literally the only insurance I could get, so we figured its better than nothing. What other experiences have people had with SureHealth?

Folks you get what you pay for and exactly what you want. People are to busy to take the time to invest a couple of hours with a reputable licensed agent, but would fork out their credit card info in a minute to a stranger over the phone. Then wonder what happened.

Please everyone do yourself a favor and take time, your health coverage is just too important to leave to chance.

I was solicited by an agent via phone to sign up for this insurance. It sounded great and I was a "perfect candidate." In the past 4 months that I had paid my premium along with the start-up fee I have not had to go to the doctor. Recently I developed a cyst in my left pinky that was pushing on a nerve and causing numbness and lack of use. I had to go the hospital because no doctor would see me nor did they carry my insurance (or had heard of it). Once at the emergency room the doctor told me I had to go see a specialist for surgery. I went to the consultation visit with the surgeon to find out the insurance will not cover in-patient or out-patient surgery at all! I have called PA's Department of Insurance and Sure Health is not even licensed in PA. I have had to cancel my surgery and walk around with a splint on my pinky for two weeks. I plan to cancel and hopefully get my money back but I have to get another insurance that will cover my now pre-existing condition of a cyst in my pinky. I would like to have a law-suit against them because of the not licensed to sell in my state, but I am not sure how it will work being that I was in a "group" coverage.

Agree, they are full of SH! I signed up told the first 5 dr visits free then a $30 copay, so my husband went to a Dr, we were reimbursed $20! Called them they said yes that is your plan. Tough!

I spoke with someone this morning about insurance. The rates seemed very cheap and I even told her that my husband was about to be diagnosed with MS. She said that with a "group" policy, that's not an issue. I am having a lot of problems believing they can offer insurance at $414 for both of us.

Feedback from others please.
