These people outright lied telling us we would have health insurance for my father with a preexisting condition covered at 100% with no waiting period and $30 co-pays for Dr. visits. It was told three times. Once to myself from work, once to my wife from the phone at home and once to my mother from her phone. When we paid we called to get set up for an appt. and not only are there no Dr.s in our entire state under their so called plan they lied about the coverage. If you go to their website they have tons of Drs. listed making you think they are in network. Only to be told afterwards that they list all Drs, but it does not mean you can use them. They said they will refund our premium but not the the $125 administrative fee. This is how they rip people off and make their money. Not to mention that anything related to preexisting conditions has a 12 month waiting period. They said there was NO waiting period. They are preying on the elderly and sick. This is disgusting. Do not trust them or use their services.

I spoke with someone this morning about insurance. The rates seemed very cheap and I even told her that my husband was about to be diagnosed with MS. She said that with a "group" policy, that's not an issue. I am having a lot of problems believing they can offer insurance at $414 for both of us.

Feedback from others please.

Agree, they are full of SH! I signed up told the first 5 dr visits free then a $30 copay, so my husband went to a Dr, we were reimbursed $20! Called them they said yes that is your plan. Tough!

I was solicited by an agent via phone to sign up for this insurance. It sounded great and I was a "perfect candidate." In the past 4 months that I had paid my premium along with the start-up fee I have not had to go to the doctor. Recently I developed a cyst in my left pinky that was pushing on a nerve and causing numbness and lack of use. I had to go the hospital because no doctor would see me nor did they carry my insurance (or had heard of it). Once at the emergency room the doctor told me I had to go see a specialist for surgery. I went to the consultation visit with the surgeon to find out the insurance will not cover in-patient or out-patient surgery at all! I have called PA's Department of Insurance and Sure Health is not even licensed in PA. I have had to cancel my surgery and walk around with a splint on my pinky for two weeks. I plan to cancel and hopefully get my money back but I have to get another insurance that will cover my now pre-existing condition of a cyst in my pinky. I would like to have a law-suit against them because of the not licensed to sell in my state, but I am not sure how it will work being that I was in a "group" coverage.

Folks you get what you pay for and exactly what you want. People are to busy to take the time to invest a couple of hours with a reputable licensed agent, but would fork out their credit card info in a minute to a stranger over the phone. Then wonder what happened.

Please everyone do yourself a favor and take time, your health coverage is just too important to leave to chance.

I have this insurance. The only thing I have had a problem with so far is finding a doctor. However when I found one I was satisfied. I have a 25 $ copay for appointments. I am only 31 but have several pre-existing conditions so this is literally the only insurance I could get, so we figured its better than nothing. What other experiences have people had with SureHealth?

My parent have been paying for SureHealth for 6 months & were told multiple times that it was health insurance and would cover MAJOR medical problems. My mother was diagnosed with cancer on 01/02/08 and had to be flown to a different hospital. She spent 3 days in the ICU, 4 days in a regular bed as well. During her stay she had to have a PET scan, an MRI, and 2 CT scans, along with minor surgery. Guess what! SureHealth originally said that they would not pay for her treatment because it was "out of network". Now they've decided to pay but what they will pay will hardly cover any of the medical bills. It wasn't until my parent's had to use their "insurance" did they find out that SureHealth is not insurance but a DISCOUNT CARD only. They could have gotten the same discount card for $15/month instead of paying $350/month. My mother's cancer treatments and medication are not covered at all, and my parents are facing the possibility of having to file medical bankruptcy. The worst part is that they had REAL medical insurance an was assured that the SureHealth plan was the same, if not better than the health insurance they had, and that was the only reason they changed over. Talk about fraud!

I was looking for major medical insurance and when Sure Health called me they told me to cancel my other insurance they told me that they cover everything. They never told me it was a discount insurance. My card says insurance card right on it and then I have another card for discounts. November of 2007 I wasn't feeling good. I found a Dr. in network had to drive 2 hrs to see him but found out that I had ovarian cancer. Had to go through chemo, surgery, and as they don, t pay for ct scans. chemo oncologist I have to try and figure out what to do. I do not think they should get away with this. I wish somebody had answers for me.
