PERSONAL JEWELRY SELLERS BEWARE
I sent my 1 ct+ diamond engagement wedding ring set to be sold at auction by Worthy.com. Worthy sold my ring for: Winning bid: $1,011.64 on 3-11-26. I was promised only 5% selling fees would be taken out. First Worthy said they were charging me 18% selling fees & I emailed them about the promised 5% in fees. From Worthy.com on 3-12-26: Please expect two separate payments, one for $829.54 and one for $131.51 ($961.05 total) to make up the difference in fees.

I requested payment by check to avoid more fees and was promised payment within 7-10 business days. After 19 days I contacted Worthy.com to ask where the payment for my ring is. I was told that they were checking on my payment and then told the payment was sent on 3-30-26; I have received no proof of payment and after the mishandling of my account I do not trust "the check is in the mail."

I acted in good faith and trusted this company and they have betrayed my trust; they sold my ring and then just hung onto the money owed to me. They did not honor their contract to provide payment within 7-10 business days. This has caused huge unnecessary stress and is completely unacceptable.
