Restated event.
My wife attempted to return clean bottles and cans to your store—items she paid a deposit for at the time of purchase. However, your staff refused to accept them.
I understand that handling bottle returns may be inconvenient. Nevertheless, if your store sells products that require a deposit for recycling, I believe you have a responsibility to:
Accept and recycle the bottles and cans at the point of sale
Refrain from selling products if you’re unwilling to take back the containers
Avoid charging deposits if you do not honor returns
Please respond to clarify your store’s policy and explain this situation.
