Casey G. and Sam stopped out at my house today and did a furnace tune up in preparation for it's winter season. I appreciated the call about a half hour before they arrived to let me know they were on their way. They both were very personable and answered all my questions as they did the tune up. They were very purposeful in their work and had high standards in the work they performed. At the end they provided me with information regarding the Smart Club, how it worked and what I could expect from them. Consequently, I will have them back in the Spring to service my air conditioner as well. I would recommend them if you're looking for quality service at the right price.

We had Standard Heating & Air Conditioning come to our home for their air duct cleaning service. John, the technician who completed the work, was amazing! We were so impressed with him as a person and with the quality of his work. He was very personable, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He showed us before and after pictures and explained what he found along the way. He was very thorough not only with the duct cleaning but also with making sure that he had thoroughly cleaned up after putting the vents back on. We also used Standard for a furnace tune- up and cleaning recently. We were also impressed with the technician sent to perform that work. We highly recommend Standard.. (Terry G.)
We have been using Standard Heating for several years now. They always call us when we forget to schedule the 2x year tune ups. Once when we had no heat, not only did they arrive quickly, but they rolled the call into our usual service to help save us some $. The technicians are always friendy and respectful. This time it was Casey Jo and she was great.
Standard Heating has been servicing our furnaces and air conditioners for many years. Today, Samuel performed the semi-annual check of our furnaces. They have always provided excellent service through their staff in the office whenever I call and through their technicians who come to my home. Friday, April 16 Standard Heating & Air Conditioning technician, Cody, came to my home for the semiannual furnace check and tune up. As to be expected I was not disappointed in the service. Cody was very thorough in completing the tune up. He was respectful of me and my questions. He explained what he had done and offered suggestions of future possible needs. My husband noticed that our furnace was lagging in firing so we called Standard Heating to identify the problem. They found that the exchange was cracked and the furnace needed replacing. From start to finish all the service personnel were friendly and answered all my questions and walked me through the installation of the new filters to programming of the new thermostat. We couldn't have asked for a more quick, efficient and courteous group of staff.
Connor completed the yearly check-in for our furnace. When issues were found, he explained them so we could understand the problem and clearly outlined our options for repairing or replacing. He was on time and friendly.
Great company with great service and technical skills. We subscribe to their service plan for 2 furnaces, 2 humidifiers and 2 air conditioners and will never use anyone else. Chad is our favorite tech.

Both units were purchased thru Standard Heating an number of years ago and are performing great! The technicians are knowledgeable, courteous, and provided an account of the service they performed. I had an Air Duct Cleaning done. Best service and experience with a company coming into my home since I purchased my home. I have had some rough times with having people do services at my house but the service with Standard Heating & Air was excellent. Starting from the call to set up the appointment, I was given all the details up-front on what to expect and received professionalism. Ryan B was very professional & considerate. He did an excellent job on the whole house duct cleaning & communicated great. I was working from home and he needed to clean the vent in my office, before starting he asked if it was a good time or if I needed to take a call soon. Very considerate and I would call Standard Heating & Air again for service.
We had our furnace replaced and our entire experience from the initial visit with Amanda to the final goodbye's out the door of the installer was absolutely outstanding. Amanda explained our options and the pro's and con's of each. We had some questions about general heat distribution so Amanda called in a technician (Nick) to look things over and expain what our options were. Both Nick & Amanda showed up around 7:30 a.m. the next day (outside of their normal work day) and did a thorough job of explaining how we could improve things. Lucy (Office contact...gotta stop by the shop and meet that woman!) was equally outstanding. She arranged an installation schedule that was most convenient for us, double checked to make sure everyone knew what we were buying/installing and kept us informed along the way. The installation crew from Alan to Sean to Spark the electrician was superb. All of them answered all of our questions even when we asked them the same question twice. They explained how things worked and how the heating system/humidifier meshed with the VanE system. An outstanding operation overall from start to finish and all points in between.
Technician Connor called to inform me of a cancellation and asked if he could come early. When Connor arrived, he introduced himself, then put on boot coverings after entering the house. He asked if I had any questions or concerns. After 30 minutes the cleaning of my furnace was complete. Before leaving he again asked if I had any questions, which I didn't. I had my furnace installed 11 years ago by Standard Heating and have had them tune it up each year since. I highly recommend Standard Heating.
During our annual furnace inspection, the technician (Brian ***) informed us that a design flaw in the furnace was creating a CO2 issue and our furnace needed to be red tagged. Brian did a great job of providing us with our options and coordinated a meeting that evening with Mike Ulik for us to look at buying a new furnace. Mike did a great job helping us pick the right size furnace and coordinate a very quick installation for us. We were able to get our furnace installed 36 hours later and everything was smoothly coordinated by the Standard Heating team. The installer and gas fitter from Standard Heating (Jude and Steve) and the electrician from Spark where all efficient, courteous and left our home in great shape. I have been a Standard Heating and Air Conditioning client for years and plan on remaining a client as long as I own my home. They always do a great job and provide top quality service.

They replaced our furnace and air conditioning in our current home, as well as responded to repair needs. Throughout it all, we have had consistently great service, worked with friendly staff and technicians, and received quality work.

I had an routine maintenance service done on my furnace and air conditioner on 9/23 by Standard Heating and Air Conditioning. I had not had it checked in 2020. The technician, Chee, did a great job. He explained what he was doing and asked if I wanted to watch him do the service. I appreciated that he let me watch to learn a little more about how the equipment worked. He was careful and thorough. He was also very professional and polite. He made sure that I had no additional questions when he completed the service. He gave me tips on things to be aware of and things to look for when operating the equipment. I will continue to use Standard Heating and Air Conditioning for my HVAC needs. Standard Heating & Air Conditioning has provided outstanding sales and service for our HVAC needs for the past 13 years. Their technicians are highly competent, friendly, courteous, and considerate. Just today, Casey stopped by tune up our furnace in preparation for the change of seasons. He explained everything he was doing and even tried to down-sell me (when was the last time that happened to you?) since I pay for the Smart Plan even though I have a relatively new A/C and furnace and probably don't need it (I explained that I like the security that it provides). Anyway, my wife and I are quite careful in selecting our service contractors. We'd highly recommend Standard to anyone who needs their A/C, heating, or vent system serviced or replaced.

As part of my Smart Club Gold Membership, I receive two visits per year. In the winter, I receive a furnace safety inspection, tune-up, and cleaning. In the summer, they return to inspect, tune-up, and clean my air conditioner. I've set up my annual membership to auto-renew to keep it simple, but more importantly, so I don't miss an inspection. I've used Standard Heating for years and have found them to be both professional and responsive. Inspections are easily scheduled, with a 3-hour window, for arrival and a courtesy-call from the tech 20 to 30 minutes ahead of the visit. The tech is usually on-site for less than 1-hour and leaves you with an inspection report, including any work performed and recommendations. I highly recommend Standard Heating and any of their techs.

I had 2 A/C units go out about a month apart- one unit was installed on 7/22 and the other on 8/3. All of the HVAC companies were backed up and just getting someone out to give a quote in a timely manner was difficult. Standard was one of the more responsive. In fact when the 2nd unit failed Phil H, their sales rep, came out at 7:00pm to measure and spec the 2nd unit so I could get in line for the next available installation. Both installations went smoothly and they did a fantastic job. They were prompt and professional. There was a potential problem with one of the lines which was clearly explained to me. It turned out the line was not a problem and the techician showed me how the issue was resolved. They thoroughly answered every question I had and cleaned everything up before they left.

We have been very happy with Standard Heating. They installed our new furnace and AC several years ago, and provide annual inspections as part of their Smart Club maintenance plan. Recently we had them clean our ductwork and dryer vent. John was extremely thorough and did a fabulous job. He wore a mask the entire time. He was careful during removal and reinstall of the vent covers and respectful of our belongings. He took many before and after photos throughout the house, showing how dirty the ducts were before his cleaning. He retrieved several objects, like crayons and Legos, which had to have been from the previous owners, and weren't cleaned out by the service we hired 13 years ago when we moved in. The dryer vent was close to dangerously full, even though I have been vacuuming it. I've been sneezing every time the furnace cycled on in the winter for years, so I hope this will help.

Denise kept our initial appointment and was on time. She was very thorough in her assessment of what we needed. When coming to install our new air conditioner they called the day before to inform us they would be delayed by a couple of hours. Tovah and Ben arrived when they said they would and were very courteous and professional. They completed the installation in 4 hours. They also cleaned up thoroughly and wore masks and shoe covers. They put a mat down that went from the entry door to our furnace area in order to keep our floors clean as well. The one thing that was a bit troublesome was that if we waited 2 weeks to have the air conditioner installed they would discount it by $1200. Going without air conditioning in 90 degree weather with 70% humidity had already been difficult. So we paid to have it installed the next day and had to forgo the $1200 discount because of our heat distress.

I have been a Standard Heating & Air Conditioning customer for over ten years. My first interaction was the result of smelling exhaust in my basement the first winter after purchasing my house. The technician performed some tests and determined that the company that installed the furnace didn't size the exhaust correctly to account for the furnace and water heater running at the same time. They resolved the issue for me and I have been a customer ever since. I joined the Smart Club for annual maintenance. The service has always been top notch. Four years ago the technician found that the heat exchanger was cracked. The furnace was 20 years old at that point so I opted for a new furnace and AC unit. Both were installed by Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. The installation process was great from start to finish. Both units work perfectly . I highly recommend Standard Heating and Air Conditioning for both maintenance and new installations.

I've used this company twice in a row now after having less than successful repairs of my 20 year old furnace from other companies. Very professional and reasonable rates each time. The most recent visit, 10/5/2022 was due to my furnace not starting even though power and gas and thermostat were all operating. They discovered my fan motor had frozen up and quoted me a price for another (reasonable) and went to get the part to install same day. On their return and attempt to replace, they found that the motor had frozen due to a bird getting in and jamming it. They investigated further and noted that my chimney cap was missing (thanks to a careless roofer earlier this year). They charged me only for the service call (which required removing the motor, cleaning it and putting it back in) and provided information on replacing the chimney cap and answered a few other questions for me. Ben and Jerad were helpful, professional, kind and hard-working. Would absolutely call them again.

The Standard Heating and Air Conditioning Technician Matt and his Apprentice arrived within the appointment window time. They wore shoe covers upon entering my home.The humidifier system that he was here to service is now running again. He asked if I had a furnace maintenance provider. I told him yes. As part of Matt's services today, I requested him to replace the system's clear, rubber water drainage hose because it appeared to be lined with some kind of "growths". He did replace the clear hose with an opaque hose. I did not watch him do his work. I later discovered and was surprised to find that he left the old disconnected hose right on the floor next to the new hose still fastened along side of the new hose. Why? He could have just asked me where to dispose of the old hose if he himself could not remove it from the area. When he told me he had finished the job, without actually showing me all that he was able to service, I paid him, he gave me a receipt of the services that he performed. Matt and his apprentice left urgently without making sure I understood what to expect from the humidifier system now that it was serviced by him. Reviewing the Services and Maintenance Recommendations afterwards would have made their good service call great!

This is the very first time we used Standard Heating & Air Conditioning. We initially chose to go with them based on their stellar reviews online, the fact that we see their vans in our neighborhood every so often, and their 92 years of being in business. We had a bad experience with a different HVAC / A/C guy prior to this who ended up costing us more to fix his own mistakes so we were ready to bring in an actual professional. They sent Casey out to check out our HVAC because our thermostat kept shutting it off, (not the greatest combo with MN winters), and he was able to diagnose and even fix some loose connections and other things our previous guy messed up. Turns out the motor blower was leaking oil. Casey showed us pictures of the damaged and offered to come out and replace it with their own part. Yes, it's more expensive than having a different company out to fix this issue, but we didn't want to shell out more $ for someone else to tell us the same thing and we had such a great experience and first impression of their professionalism and knowledge no matter how many "dumb" questions I asked. But at least we have the peace of mind that this replacement will be done correctly in a reasonable amount of time and under a 2-year warranty. Overall, great experience and worth the cost. Their reputation is standing the test of time for a reason!

Excellent Company to work with I have used Standard Heating for over 15 years. I have them check my Heating and A/C systems yearly. The also installed my current systems. I find that they are personable, easy to work with, thorough, and know what they are doing. I am very very happy with the work they do. I could not ask for anything more.
I've been very satisfied with all steps of the process of replacing my furnace, AC and thermostat. The sales person was informative. I'd already met with 3 other companies. One of them tried to manipulate me by exaggerating risk of my old furnace. Another was vague with information. Mike had high praise for his company's ethics. He offered me many options. All the people who worked on the installation went out of their way to keep me informed about what was happening, to answer my questions, and to demonstrate a few things. They called before coming and arrived on time; they worked steady the whole time.
I was extremely impressed with the staff of Standard Heating, starting from the sales rep, Rick who was extremely knowledegable, courteous, friendly and informative of the product he was assisting me with. The installers Jeff, Jeremy, Chee and the Spark electricans were very professional and courteous,. I would recommend Standard Heating and their staff to my family and friends! P.S. Rick the sales rep also informed me of the Bryant class action law suit and I was able to get a rebate from the law suit.
