After taking out vehicle finance in February, I made a substantial additional payment into the account and contacted the call centre to request that the payment be capitalized in order to reduce my monthly instalment.
During that discussion, I specifically asked when the next debit order would be processed and was advised that it would run on 26 April. However, no debit order was processed on that date.
At the end of April, I contacted the call centre again and was informed that the additional payment had not been capitalized correctly. I was nevertheless assured that my account was not in arrears and that the next debit order would run on 26 May
The debit order again did not process on 26 May, and I have once more been advised that the account remains up to date and not in arrears.
i am concerned as Whether interest continues to accrue while debit orders are not being processed.
