Hi, my name is Marty. I have purchased 3 other firearms and yesterday (11/6/23) was the fourth purchased at store #258, also other goods along the way.
I was looking for the Howa 6.5 creedmore bolt action 1500 Hogue, same as described above. Checking around I was quoted $569.00 list price at two other gun stores in my neighborhood, but it would not be available for some time.
I also checked sportsman warehouse at store # 258 Warminster pa. they had it in stock $629.00 which turned out they had one in stock , no back up.
So this rifle was out in the store on the rack along with all the others on display. Probably handled many times by staff and customers alike.
The stock has several scratches and marred. I asked if they would clean it up but was told to call Howa, Wow. I said I never had it home yet, why do I have the obligation to go to Howa. We don't do that. There is also two places on the barrel with small scratches which I did not spot until I was home and my wife saw them.
I wanted a scope mounted and bore sighted, which was &14.99. I had one I used for years and when I went to pick the rifle up on Tuesday 11/7/23 I was told It could not be bore sighted there was a problem with my scope.
I purchased a new Sig Sauer scope and was asked to pay $14.99 to bore scope the new scope. Wow. Did not say anything paid for the new scope, rings and $14.99 dollars.
Not what I call a great and fuzzy experience since all my other purchases not -only went smoothly and I felt appreciated. I hope my next purchase goes better, looking forward to it.
