In May 2022 while using our time share at Ormond Beach we were aggressively encouraged to give back our 2- 2 bedroom lock outs for 3- 2 bedroom units, using the hook that we could rent out the third unit t help pay maintenance fees.
I was billed for only 2 units for 2023 maintenance fees, which I paid when due.
I was unable to book 3 units because my deed from May was never filed - even though I paid my monthly loan fee. with that finally cleared up, I paid the third unit fees. I had finally been able to book 1 unit for vacation, deposited 1 unit with Interval International for vacation and booked 1 unit for rental 9/2023. I emailed the rental agreement 4/17 to the email on the form. Since I hadn't heard anything, I called to check and lo and behold they didn't put my third unit up for rent. since it's 2 weeks before the rental date, I don't want to lose the week if it can't get rented, so I want to bank the week with Interval International. after being on hold multiple times for over 2 hours each time, no call back when I left my number, I'm extremely disappointed in Spinnaker's customer service. We have owned at Spinnaker for more than 15 years.
Desired outcome: at minimum be able to deposit my third week for a future vacation- I don't want to lose it.
I was misled by Spinnaker. Each time I have tried to complain to management, I am told my 10 days are up. The contract was initiated under terms they have not met. I was encouraged to not speak to the final closing lady of the terms since this would cause undue delay. I have not paid them, and this company who states they are family orientated, is anything but. My first incident with them was with an untrained individual who thought she owned the company. A payment was missed because the Charge card that they so cleverly hook one up with was never received. The payment was supposed to be applied to the charge card when due. The CC company stated since I had not received the card, a new one would be issued. I did not realize that the payment would not be made because of the number being changed. This idiot called me and treated me like I was a wanted criminal. And so it goes. This set the tone for continued relations. I have asked repeatedly for someone of authority and only get the same people who speak of nothing but how much I owe them. I can only assume that the tactics used to sell me are acceptable company practices.
