BEWARE OF THESE FRAUDSTERS! SpaBerry had an advertising campaign in June 2023 espousing a fabulous deal "half price" on their top of the line hot tubs. My 78 year old husband fell for their sales pitch hook, line and sinker. Kevin Smith, Senior Vice President of Operations took our deposit of close to $4,000 over the phone on June 29, 2023 and promised us delivery by the end of September 2023.
As the months passed the excuses started - we have production delays, shipping delays etc.
By October I started to smell a rat and contacted Kevin Smith multiple times. He said delivery would be end of November and that turned into February of 2024. That would make it 8 months for a little hot tub.
I requested a refund and the excuses started again.
I told Kevin Smith I was filing a formal complaint and what do you know. Radio Silence! Not a word from him since.
Thank goodness we used a reputable credit card. We have received our money back. SpaBerry did not dispute my claim which demonstrates their criminality when threatened by a large banking company like TD.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SPABERRY, VISIONWERX OR GELLIEBEDS.
The fact you don't like their reason does not make it an excuse or a lie, do you really believe a company that has been established for 16 years and clearly has many customers who post online of their positive experiences certainly undermines your claim of "fraudsters" and "criminality". Personally, I find reviews made in the manner you have made yours are worthless and contribute little except a little bit of letting off some steam.
We also experienced some delays - but we fact checked the reasons given with the Port Authorities and were satisfied - though not pleased that were were being told correctly. Yes, we had to chase but the wait was worth the while and are now enjoying our spaberry :)
Why would Kevin Smith not take the time to honestly inform his customers of the likely timeline? I think it is criminal to take your money and string you along for … well I lasted 8 months and VISA stopped the payment. What kind of company operates like that? What is he doing with my money for 8 months? I agree criminal behavior and when I went looking for reviews online they score about a 1* ! People are catching on to this criminal behavior. It is NO way to operate a business. Nice looking spas but what a nightmare! And such disrespect. I informed Kevin I was still willing to purchase the tub if it arrived before his business went under and he berated me and scolded me “we will not go through this with you every month!” Wow! Disgusting 🤢 👿
