Southwest Gas review: Deposit for gas service

I was at work April 12, 21 when I called to set up new service and did not have my bank info with me to set up auto pay which is how the representative said I could avoid a deposit since my utilities have been included in my rent for sometime. The representative said I could call back and take care of it. My service was started and I moved in. I called on April 26 to set up auto pay and was told that they were in the middle of changing the system and the representative was unable to access the auto pay but not to worry just call back after the 3rd of May and I could take care of it. I told the representative that the bill said the deposit was due in may 4th but was again told not to worry just call back. I had to go out of town for work and was unable to call until may 5th at which time I was told they were no longer accepting auto pay to waive the deposit. I was also told that in order to get my deposit back I need to pay on time for 12 months. The deposit was due on the 4th and I was told this on the 5th so it is already late. Southwest Gas made promises when I set up my account and have now refused to honor those promises. Even if I had set up the auto pay at the time of the initial call I would still owe the deposit because they said they wouldn't have honored the agreement.

Desired outcome: I want the initial agreement that was made to be upheld and my deposit waived
