Sorbs Sorbs.net Review: A Scam to Avoid Like the Plague

I had a real tough time with Sorbs (sorbs.net) and it took me a while to get delisted, about 12 hours or so. I barely sent any emails during that time, but it was still a real pain in the neck.

I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Sorbs. In fact, I'd go so far as to call it a scam. I'd recommend avoiding it like the plague.

Sorbs Sorbs Review: A Network of Volunteers Fighting Spam and Abuse on the Internet

But sometimes, ISPs and email providers don't have the resources or the time to deal with all the spam and abuse that comes through their networks. That's where Sorbs comes in.

Sorbs is a network of volunteers who work to identify and block spam, viruses, and other types of abuse on the internet. They maintain a database of IP addresses that have been reported for sending spam or other abusive behavior, and they provide this information to ISPs and email providers so that they can block these addresses from their networks.

Using Sorbs can help reduce the amount of spam and other unwanted email that you receive, and it can also help protect your computer and your network from viruses and other types of malware. By blocking known sources of abuse, Sorbs helps to keep the internet a safer and more secure place for everyone.

Of course, like any system, Sorbs is not perfect. There have been some reports of false positives, where legitimate email is blocked because it was sent from an IP address that was mistakenly identified as abusive. However, Sorbs is constantly working to improve their system and reduce the number of false positives.

Overall, if you're looking for a way to reduce spam and other types of abuse on your network, Sorbs is definitely worth considering. Just be aware that there may be some occasional false positives, and make sure to report any issues you encounter so that Sorbs can continue to improve their system.

Sorbs Sorbs.net De-Listing Process is a Hassle: My Frustrating Experience

So I was trying to get rid of my listing on Sorbs (sorbs.net) and boy was it a hassle. First, I had to make an account which was a bit of a pain. Then, when I tried to de-list, it told me I had to request it from the listed site. I mean, come on, it's a webserver not a browser, why do I have to go through all this trouble?

I tried to create a ticket to get some help, but it gave me an error message saying "oops something went wrong". Ugh, frustrating much? I decided to take a break and come back later, but when I tried to log in again, it didn't recognize my login info. What a waste of time!

Honestly, I don't think I'll bother registering again. I regret even signing up in the first place. It's just too much of a hassle for something that should be simple.

Sorbs SORBS Blacklisted Us Despite Compliance: A Frustrating Experience for a Rural ISP

We're a small internet service provider located in a rural area. Recently, we had a user who violated our usage policy and as a result, we were blacklisted on many different blacklists. We immediately removed the user from our service and requested to be de-listed on all 94 blacklists. Surprisingly, all of them except for SORBS had us de-listed within 24 hours.

We were disappointed to find out that SORBS didn't even respond to our request in their own ticketing system. This caused a lot of frustration for us as we were unable to send emails to Yahoo users for the past 5 days. We've reached out to Yahoo to stop using SORBS as it's an irresponsible service that's causing us to lose customers.

It's important to note that the purpose of blacklisting is to slow down spammers, but SORBS doesn't seem to understand that we're on the same team. Instead, they're causing us to lose money in customer loss. It's frustrating to see that SORBS isn't doing their part in helping ISPs like us combat spam.

We're lucky that other email providers like Gmail, MSN, Live, Outlook, and AOL don't use SORBS. However, it's unfortunate that Yahoo does. We hope that SORBS can improve their service and respond to requests in a timely manner so that other ISPs don't have to go through what we did.

Sorbs Sorbs.net: A Blacklist Nightmare for Businesses - Stay Away!

I gotta tell ya, Sorbs.net is a real pain in the neck. I've been in business for over 20 years and we've built up a lot of connections over that time. But every now and then, Sorbs.net goes and blacklists our IP address. It's a real hassle, let me tell you.

We tried to create an account on their site so we could request removal from the blacklist, but their site doesn't even work! What kind of operation are they running over there?

It's just like Silicon Valley, always trying to limit how much you can make while keeping their hands in your pocket. I swear, sometimes I think we need to reopen Alcatraz Island and send all those greedy techies over there once they hit a million bucks. Maybe then they'll learn a thing or two about fairness and decency.

And I'm not the only one who's had trouble with Sorbs.net. Check out this link to see what other people are saying about them: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/sorbs-spam/san-gwann-select-stateprovince-sgn-1612/sorbs-spam-fraudulent-extortionist-practices-san-gwann-other-***.

All in all, I'd say stay away from Sorbs.net if you can. They're just not worth the hassle.
