Soleil Vacations, LLC was a huge disappointment
Soleil Vacations, LLC was a huge disappointment. They completely disregarded our contract and the cleaning was absolutely terrible. They breached the contract by not reporting the extensive damages to our furniture. On top of that, they failed to provide us with the necessary cookware and linens. It's unbelievable how they failed to honor the contract in so many different areas, even going as far as asking for payment of taxes that hadn't even been paid. When we asked them to fix and clean everything, they abruptly terminated the agreement without giving us the required 60-day notice. And to make matters worse, they demanded payment for areas that were never even agreed upon in the first place. They also failed to market the property as we had agreed upon.

We hired Soleil Vacations as our management company in the Spring of 2022. They are really sneaky, never respond, and don't listen to our requests as the property owners. We tried multiple times to fix the problems with Soleil's Owner, Nick Christmas, but he never gets back to us. So, we finally told them we're done with their nonsense. But now, Soleil is playing more games and not paying us for the rentals in September and October. It's already the middle of November and they owe us at least $2,400. Soleil says they have expenses for rebooking previous commitments, but those bookings were only $600 at most, with their cheap rate of $79 per night. And they double that with weird charges they won't explain! We should've read Tyler S's review before hiring these jokers!

The whole room was covered in a thick white coat of dust! They sent a girl to clean the hard surfaces, but they wouldn't send their linen service to change the bedding like they promised. They dragged out the conversation with us for so long that it took up our entire short 2-day vacation. We had driven 6 hours each to enjoy it. In the end, when we couldn't get any satisfaction from the person in charge, Coreen, or her boss Nick, we asked how we could speak to the owners of the unit. But they told us, "You can't." So we said we had no choice but to involve VRBO and get our credit card company to help with the charges they wrongly made us pay, $85 for cleaning that clearly wasn't done. And what did they do? They EVICTED US. They sent someone in ripped up street clothes to kick us out at 10:30 p.m. on a Sunday night. Unbelievable! And then they only gave us back part of the money we paid for that night's stay. We were completely shocked. We will never book with a place that uses a property management company instead of dealing directly with owners. We got kicked out just because we wanted to sleep in clean bedding. Can you believe it? Wow.

Working with Soleil Vacations in managing our short term rentals in Panama City Beach was a complete disaster. I absolutely refuse to work with this company ever again. They don't follow their contract, they can't manage cleaners properly, they charge owners for overpriced and shoddy work, and they don't pay the proper taxes for the properties they manage (even though it's clearly stated in the contract). They also mishandle owners' linens and charge fees and expenses that were never agreed upon or mentioned beforehand.
When we ended our contract with Soleil Vacations, they still owed us 18 sets of towels and 4 sets of bedding for just one property. We had provided these items at the beginning of the contract, less than 6 months prior. On top of that, they charged us their annual linen fee without any notice. When we canceled, they didn't even give us our second set of towels, sheets, and linens, resulting in an additional loss of $500.
In short, they have completely violated the contract, charged fees that were never discussed, and stolen thousands of dollars worth of linens and towels without any response. They have failed to honor the contract in multiple ways, including not paying the proper taxes to the county and city districts. This list of grievances goes on and on.
We are now thousands of dollars out of pocket because we trusted Soleil Vacations with managing our properties. I will never make that mistake again. This company is a prime example of why short term management companies need stricter regulations to protect property owners and hold them accountable for their negligence. As owners, we have no way to defend our money or our rights, as all expenses are deducted from our monthly revenue. They simply steal from owners repeatedly.
I strongly advise all property owners to think twice before trusting Soleil Vacations or its owner, Nick. When things inevitably go wrong, you will be left high and dry, with Soleil Vacations nowhere to be found and no response to your problems.
My main issue is customer service
My main issue is customer service. I just wanted to know the owner's name and verify it because something seemed off. So, I called to address another issue on my end, which I take responsibility for. I asked to speak to the manager, and he claimed to be the owner. I asked if there was someone above him that I could talk to, but he made it difficult. He said, "We don't have to disclose that information legally. Business owners have a right to privacy." I explained that I was requesting public information, not personal information. I also mentioned that I found a different owner's name during my research and wanted to confirm who I was dealing with as a customer. I told them it's not good to be secretive and that I would leave a review. Their response was, "You asked us to confirm the owner, and we did. It's a shame that you're now leaving a bad review because of your own actions. You agreed to the terms and conditions and now want us to protect your trip when we offered trip insurance. We will respond to any public review you make and forward your information to our attorney for further action due to any negative or false information you spread. We will hold you accountable." I clarified that I wasn't upset about my own issue but rather the customer service. I asked, "Am I not allowed to leave a review about my customer service experience? I'll also mention that you're threatening me with legal action if I leave a review." They replied, "There's nothing wrong with the customer service you received. We presented you with the facts, and you didn't like it. Now you're being vindictive, and you know it. As you can see in another person's ComplaintsBoard.com review, we took legal action against them." I felt like they were trying to scare me into not leaving a review.
