I had prepaid for gas at the smith's gas pumps on 12/31/20 on 4100
So. Redwood road. My car wouldn't take the whole 20 dollars, it only took 18 dollars so I went to the window and asked the employee if the 2 dollars would automatically credit back to my card because I couldn't fit the whole 20 in the tank, she said yes it will so I said thank you and left. Well the next day I checked my statement online and I was not credited the 2 dollars, so I went back to the store and went to cusomer service and explained what had happened to the young girl at customer service, I also had my receipt as well. She seemed unsure of what to do but she told me that maybe it was because of the holidays and I should wait until the following week and if it doesnt credit back my card to come back in so I said that was fine, I would do that and I left. That was 1/1/2021. I went back into the store to customer service on 1/6/21 to let them know I was not credited the 2 dollars and I had my receipt, kelly was the customer service employee on this day. I explained what had happened and that I had come in the day after I pumped the gas and the other employee told me to come back the following week incase the problem was just it being the holiday. Kelly said I would need to bring in my bank statement to show here I paid for the gas I guess which im not completely sure why being I had my reciept right infront of her, anyhow I told her I can pull up my statement on my phone and did so. I showed it to her and she told me she wasnt sure what she could do because she couldnt just give money back to someone who said they were owed money we are talking about two dollars here! She proceeded to call the employee at the gas pumps and told her that her name was on the reciept and she should have refunded me the 2 dollars right then and there, then she proceeded to say to the employee on the phone, yea she waited 5 days to come in, I then told her once again that I came in the next day and was told to come back the following day, she told me that she was on the phonw which I understood that but she made it seem like I was trying to get over on two dollars for godsakes. I told the customer behind me, its 2 dollars, kelly told me, mamn you dont have to be rude, I told her im not being rude but for godsakes im not lieing about 2 dollars, I almost told her to keep the 2 dollars but that was my money! Anyhow I have never in my life had someone act like that for 2 dollars!!! I had my reciept, I showed her my statement online, what was the big deal???!!! I ended up asking to speak to the manager and she just pointed and said hes over there, I asked what his name was and she told me it was obed, I know him very well, I am a steady customer and I am always at this store due to living right behind it so in the end with no problem at all obed gave me the 2 dollars and I went about my business, shopping of course after but this employee "kelly" really needs some speaking to, I cannot believe how she acted, I mean it almost seemed like it was her 2 dollars and she wasnt gving it up for nothing, this type of customer service is so wrong and ignorent I hope that nobody has to go through that again. I worked costomer service for 10+ years and in no way would I have ever treated someone like that! Thanks for your time, sincerely lisa house
