After dates were established for shipping and receipt on the other end, SGT "dispatched" my order to a carrier with dates that were outside of my requirements. My car would arrive at the destination before I did, and nobody could pick it up. They said they would keep searching, and 4 days before my pickup date they emailed saying no carriers were available. I requested that they cancel the order and refund my $329. I made other arrangements at great expense to me. After a month, I checked with them about my refund and even though they had emailed saying it was in process, during the phone call they refused to refund my money because they had "dispatched" a carrier already. Never mind it was the wrong date. After much back and forth, they refused to return my money. I am a first time transport user and did not realize this was such a shady business. I would never EVER use this company again.

. We needed 2 cars transported literally across the country, California to Florida, and needed it done in a hurry. I will admit that SGT was our second company we called, and after speaking with them on the phone, and hearing the confidence that they could get the job done, we knew we didn't have to make any more calls. And although we only called one other company, after talking to other people, we found out that their price was fantastic. Julian got everything arranged, the cars were picked up the day that we wanted and we're delivered to a storage site for us without us knowing anyone in Florida. I am truly sorry that I can't remember the driver's name as this whole move was quite overwhelming, but he was fantastic, and when we went to get our cars they were perfect. I would highly recommend SGT, so save yourself some time and make only one call, they will get the job done, and done right .

SGT Auto Transport My daughter needed her car shipped from LA to Florida

My daughter needed her car shipped from LA to Florida. We called around and received several quotes. After reading reviews on Complaintsboard.com and online, we went with SGT. Their pricing was average compared to others we called. From the very first phone call, to the car delivery was seamless. Every person we spoke to was very nice, explaining each step along the way! The car was picked up in the time frame window given and dropped off 4 days later (within the window of delivery). I was impressed that the car was picked up on Thanksgiving morning! The delivery driver called the morning of delivery with a time. He was here at the time given. Her car was handled professionally, and arrived in the same condition it was picked up. I would highly recommend SGT! 100% professional transaction! Also, the price was fantastic! It would have cost me more to fly to LA, and drive back to Florida with her (considering gas, hotels, food, flight).

SGT Auto Transport Bait and Switch!

Bait and Switch! I received an online quote for $1565. I then spoke with Nate and he was able to discount to $1475 for an open carrier. When I called back I spoke with Isaac. I asked what the difference would be to switch to a closed carrier and he quoted me $2250 so I said I wanted to move forward with the closed carrier for $1475. He asked me to hold for a minute and then came back on the line and said the open carrier would actually be around $2400. When I pointed out he had just quoted a closed carrier for $2250 he apologized and said that things had changed in the 5 minutes I'd been speaking with him and $2400 was now the price for an open carrier and a closed carrier would be 40% more. They would not honor their original quote of $1475, or even the computer based quote of $1565. I made arrangements with another company for $1507. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. They are shady and will not honor their quoted prices.

I hired SGT to arrange a carrier for a pickup that I bought at an auction in Florida. The initial arrangement that they were able to setup fell apart. They notified me immediately and within 2 hours had made new arrangements to have my truck picked up and delivered to me in a professional and timely manner.

SGT Auto Transport SGT abandoned my card mid-shipment

SGT abandoned my card mid-shipment. It was picked up by a truck in Utah and was supposed to arrive in the port of Honolulu. When the truck driver brought the car to the shipper in Long Beach (Matson) the car would not start as the battery was dead. They jumped the car and attempted to deliver to the Matson but Matson refused to take the car if it would not start on it's own. At this point SGT should have delivered the car to a storage facility or auto-repair garage to have the battery replaced at my expense. However the car was parked outside the Matson gate and left unlocked with the key under the mat and the driver left. As I live in Honolulu I had no way to handle this in person. I ended up finding a mobile mechanic on craigslist willing to help me. I had to buy the battery and pay the guy for 6 hours of labor and waiting in line at Matson to deliver the car. If I hadn't the car would likely have been stolen. SGT is refusing to pay for any of my expense. Please stay away from these guys.

SGT Auto Transport hires independent contractors to ship customers' cars. The contractor who shipped my son's car was Berlineta Transportation LLC. We paid him $1,900 to ship the car from Wyoming to Pennsylvania where my son would attend college. With packing his car for what he would need for his dorm, my son forgot he had left his handgun in the closed console of the car. He remembered it when he checked his room at home while getting ready to fly out to Pennsylvania. When the car arrived in Pennsylvania, he opened the console and found the gun missing and the driver for Berlineta Transportation was long gone taking my cashiers check with him. We filed police reports in both Wyoming and Pennsylvania naming both Berlineta Transportation LLC and SGT Auto Transport Corp. as the ones responsible for the theft. We sent an e-mail to SGT Auto Transport as they hired the thief in the first place. The only thing we heard back from SGT was a form email "thanking us for our business". We have heard nothing else back. Do not trust SGT Auto Transport as they obviously don't care if one of their contractors steals from one of their customers.

SGT Auto Transport I just sent an extended bed pickup truck to my son and used SGT Transport

I just sent an extended bed pickup truck to my son and used SGT Transport. It was picked up at my home in Alabama and transported to Boston, MA area. After getting several bids from other companies, SGT Auto Transport came in with lowest bid and I called them and arranged the transport. I paid a $200 deposit, with rest to be paid upon arrival. They were very professional and very helpful. I arranged the transport on a Friday over the phone and they picked it up on the first day that I told them it would be available, Tuesday, December 22nd. They delivered it to my son at his home Thursday, December 24th by noon. The driver was AMAZING! Friendly and professional, but what was most unbelievable is that he had the truck loaded on the trailer within 10 minutes of arriving to my house. I promise you I am not exaggerating! And then he was off! When it arrived my son said he had it off the trailer in 5 minutes! This driver was efficient! Great experience from start to finish. You cant go wrong with this company. They were in constant contact with me through the whole process, including the driver. I would not hesitate to use them again. Great company!

SGT Auto Transport Worst company ever to exist

Worst company ever to exist. When I first booked over the phone I was guaranteed my car would be shipped 1-3 business days out. The guy on the phone said he would have a driver monday or tuesday. Then I got a phone call saying they had a driver for thursday which I agreed to. They charged a huge deposit as well. Then Wednesday afternoon came and I heard no call about pickup time. I called and apparently the driver changed the pick up time to Thursday. Then Thursday morning came and I got a phone call saying there was yet again "another issue with pick up". They reassigned me to another pickup for monday and promised it would be picked up. I then called and the driver said it wasn't 100% guarantee. I called the cancel and they tried to lower the price. I have been told I was going to get calls back and no reponses until I call again. Each time different representatives tell me different things. It feels like an entire scam happening and now they won't refund me my deposit even though they have broke every guarantee and told me over the phone I could be refunded but changed their mind. It has been a nightmare working with this company and I would never recommend it to anyone else.

If you pay this company $350 to connect you to a driver, you're a fool. A basic internet search leads you to sites that have 1000's of drivers registered on them, that you can pay directly, without this unnecessary and costly middleman. I was hounded all day by their salesperson, to acquire their services. Numerous times I told them I hadn't concluded my purchase of the vehicle, and yet they kept calling,... insisting I'd loose my transport for that day if I didn't securetheir services. I eventually gave in, and immediately they charged my card. Not 10 minutes later, I concluded my vehicle purchase and was told by the dealer that they would deliver it for free. Immediately called them back, to cancel their setvices, and lost my $350 for nothing from them at all. They didn't send out a driver to get the car, just informed them of the job, because I had canceled before anything got going.. but they claimed their services had been rendered... ? just out to steal any money they can. All brokers are now unnecessary since truckers register themselves on websites now, without the stealing middlemen. Do yourselfs a expensively cost saving favor, and end this line of buisness forever, by contacting the drivers directly through those convenient websites.

The order was done, my car was safe and sound in the correct destination on the agreed time. I did encounter an issue with the company though. When you call it's never the same person answering, and different people told me different information. That is very frustrating and makes the company seem like they are scamming you. A few examples: one person told me I can have 150 pounds of stuff in my car free of charge. After I signed the agreement and ordered a driver, they said "no, no, it's 100 pounds free of charge". Another example: I was told the procedure is to pay cash up-front to the driver, and when the car gets there, they will automatically deduct the rest from my credit card. This was very important to me as, as the person receiving my car wasn't me, but my to-be apartment manager. Later (again, after I signed the agreement) I was told "no no, we deduct now, and you pay cash on delivery" which was totally unacceptable as my building manager won't pay cash money for me. They told me I can pay with credit card but that would cost extra! We managed to compromise on me sending money to the driver directly through *** with no extra charge All in all, they need to figure out the correct information among their own employees, because all the back and forth cause me a lot of stress.

SGT Auto Transport did PRECISELY as they promised in regard to picking up and delivering my car and handling the payments as they said they would. Dates and times lined up nearly perfectly. I say "nearly" because car arrived a day earlier than expected, which was ok with me, but not so "perfect" for SGT Auto Transport, who had to wait for the day after my delayed flight arrived for me to get it. They also initially had to wait until I finally made up my mind to go through with using their services, and did so kindly and patiently, answering all questions with thorough explanations and always remembering to return calls, both before and after deposit payment. This was the first company I called when I started searching for car shipping companies, and it turned out to be the most reliable and cost efficient one in the end, based on my needs, even despite other companies claiming that no one legitimate can have lower prices than them for the route I requested. My car was shipped from Germantown, MD to Phoenix, AZ. I was able to walk home quickly from the place my car was picked up, and driver kindly waited for me to get my 2nd vaccine on the same day before bringing my car (2005 *** Sentra) for him to take. I can only speak from my own experience when I say SGT's price was lower compared to others I managed to research before deciding to go with SGT, and their services were reliable for my needs. The entire process was easy and straightforward from beginning to end.

On May 10, 22 I contacted SGT Auto Transport for the 2000 Dodge 3/4 Ton Truck I am purchasing and was quoted a price of $1449. I signed the shipping agreement for this amount and with the first available pickup date of May 12th. When the driver showed up on May 13th to pick up the truck from the dealership, he said that he was supposed to be picking up a car and not a truck, so the driver contacted SGT Auto and demanded another $250 to pickup the truck. So the driver left without the vehicle and that's when SGT Auto called me and told me that I had to pay an extra $250 which I said no and for them to refund me my deposit on my *** card and I told them that this was extortion and highway robbery and that we had a contract for $1449. Later on the dealership called me saying that the driver showed back up and picked up my truck and left. I called SGT Auto back and told them that the dealership had told me that my truck was picked up anyway and that's when SGT was going to send a new contract over and that I had to sign it the extra $250 in order to get my truck. When the driver showed up on Sat, May 14th at 7pm, he told me that I had to pay an extra $50 and that it was a total of $1250. The driver refused to give me a receipt for the cash that I paid him. I asked him multiple times for a receipt and he said not receipt, he would not give me his name and I took a picture of the decal on the side of his truck (*** LLC) and of the cash that I paid him. So in closing I wound up paying $300 more than the original contract stated.

I purchased a 2018 jeep wrangler about 1700 miles away from my city. I hired SGT to find another company to retrieve the vehicle as the promise a 4 pick up guarantee a "no later than" date for drop off ( may 23rd 2022 in this case) . I didn't hear anything so on the 4th day I called them again in the morning & they had not found anyone to pick it up yet, so I said OK I will want to cancel the order & go with another company if you don't by the end of the day (no big deal). Magically they find a co. Within a very short timeframe from when I spoke to them last- they guaranteed it would be here that Monday, the 23rd of May. I wasn't getting any updates from SGT or the CO. They chose so I called & they assured me the vehicle was in transit. I later get a frantic call from the salesman I purchased the vehicle from in AL concerned that SGT had the location drop off for the wrong state.i called them & had them not only clarify that in fact their notes said NH & NOT NJ, but they also called they CO. They chose to do the job & verified also the destination location. Which I then too did the same thing. After not hearing from sgt/3rdpartyfor days, my fiance called SGT, they said the vehicle was delivered. He said no offense, but would i call you if that was the case? They then told him it was marked delivered by mistake the vehicle would be at our house by 530pm. After not hearing anything again, it turned out they had lied. After we received yet ANOTHER frantic call from our salesman, The jeep was in fact dropped off at an AUTO auction in NJ instead of my house in NH. They lied& had no way of getting it up here so the CO. They hired had to hire ANOTHER Co. To go & retrieve the vehicle after the auto auction wouldn't release it until they could prove that it wasn't supposed to be there. I have attached several emails back and for with the "CEO" as you can see below. I have yet to be compensated for anything and I'm growing increasingly irritated.

Contracted SGT through *** to ship a vehicle on 5/4. Been in constant contact with *** and *** regarding shipping. Nothing but lies and delays. Incurred over $650 in storage fees, Told it would be picked up - wanted more money - then never picked vehicle up. Contact with *** - investigating SGT. FRAUD. filing complaint with the state of South Carolina and the Department of Transportaition

One the week of Dec 19th 2021, I contracted with SGT to transport my car from Seattle to Denver. They were very quick to get back to me, and I was sent a confirmation email that my car would be picked up on December 25th. The driver did not show up on said date. I contact SGT who said they would get back to me and never did. I called once a day for the next several days, each time I was told that the driver would be there that day. He never showed. There was an asertion by SGT that the continued delays were due to weather, however they never said anything like 'It may take up to a week to pick up'. They ONLY told me the driver would be there that day. After he did come for pickup, I waited 2-3 days and didn't hear anything so I called SGT again and was told the driver would be there that day. He never showed. The next day, SGT calls me to tell me the driver will arrive that day. I ask what time because I have to go out - he said the driver will call you an hour before he comes. Not very helpful. Several hours later SGT calls me to tell me that the driver will arrive in 30 minutes. I told him I will not be available. He says - you never told me that. I said - Yes I did, check your recording. He says - Why are you lying?. I say - I am not lying, I told you I needed to go out. You are the ones that are lying by telling me the driver is coming every day and then it never shows up. During this time period, I spoke with multiple employees, asked for supervisors, and no one could give me straight answers. I paid more for this particular company ($1322) because of the shipping time frame. At this point, I would like to request some type of refund for the massive inconvenience this company has caused. They were not truthful in their business practices and left the customer in the dark. I tried to resolve this with SGT and they refused to refund me and gave no explanation.

I used SGT Auto Transport to deliver my personal vehicle and have voiced concerns and complaints that they mishandled the transaction, to no avail - the company has yet to take responsibility and has been unwilling to discuss price adjustment for poor service and failure to deliver as promised. I signed a contract with SGT (NOT a subcontractor) to transport my personal vehicle from ***, CA to *** VA. I was repeatedly told they'd have to "ask the driver" about a billing adjustment, which did not happen. Final result: SGT or subcontracted company were in possession of my personal vehicle from 06 Jan to 21 Jan (16 days), which impacted my personal and professional plans, all of which included 3-4 day buffer in case of unexpected delay. When I voiced my complaints, SGT refused to take responsibility, failed to return my calls with information I requested, and repeatedly made unprofessional comments over the phone as I was voicing my concerns (all while having my personal vehicle in their possession). I am seeking a refund of $326, the amount that SGT charged me as a deposit prior to its mismanagement of my transportation order. This company holds customers to its contractual standards of quoted price, but acts with no regard to their end of the agreement. I have attempted to resolve this directly but SGT uses the weather excuse and ignores me. As detailed by the attached: - SGT charged $126 more than I agreed and expected to pay as a deposit for this shipment. (Agreed on $200, was charged $326 - see attachments) - SGT subcontracted my case out and therefore would not take responsibility when the delivery did not arrive at the scheduled date (Jan 14) due to: delayed departure from origin, impact of known weather patterns, and truck part failure that kept driver stopped for multiple days. - SGT was unable to provide me with accurate information (name/contact info for the driver, the car's location, accurate arrival date) throughout the transaction.

SGT Auto Transport Worst mistake

Worst mistake. Total bait and switch and they tell you anything to book. I booked a shipment with SGT and agreed to pay $1600 to ship my vehicle. They said no problem leave $150 now and pay the driver the rest. They said 1-5 days. 3 weeks later, The driver arrives at my location and SGT calls me and says we have to charge you more. I said no I want to pay what was agreed upon. They said they can't and prices have went up. I said cancel my order and they responded you will lose your deposit. Complete bait and switch. Stay far away... Much better companies out there.

On 6/15 I contacted SGT Auto Transport to ship my wife's BMW 3-Series coupe across country. The ONLY response I got from SGT was my order confirmation, that states: "Pick-Up Date: Not Later Than 06/30". On 6/25 I contacted them, and they told me that they hadn't finalized the shipment yet, but I would hear back from them on 6/28. Nothing. I called again - told they were on it. On 6/29 they told me that the driver had backed out and our only option I had was to pay the driver $200 on pickup. I went ballistic, and was told that they were trying to find a driver without the $200 payment, and they'd call me first thing the next morning. They didn't, and while the moving van was loading I called them at 11:00 AM, and was told that our only option was to pay the driver the $200, and if not it could take 3 more days pickup. Our flight was leaving 6/30 PM. I complained to SGT on 7/10, and they blamed me for not booking a guarranteed pickup - never mentioned when I reserved. SCAM!

On May 16 I booked SGT Autotransport Corp to ship my 2000 pound, 1967 Datsun Roadster from Lower Lake, CA to Arcadia, CA. It is now July 21 (Yes, 3 MONTHS!) and still I haven't seen the car. This is clearly an issue with this transporter as they promised to ship the car and I regret choosing them as I passed up other transporters willing to ship the car. I've been very accommodating in allowing the delay but I've now have to pay storage fees where I'm not going to get back because SGT Autotranport Corp had failed to transport my car. I would like them to just find a transporter as soon as possible. There were many weekends opened to have the car transported. and clearly they were made aware that the car will be available many weekends available to be picked up. My calls were answered with an apology that they couldn't find anyone but this is not an excuse as they are well aware that this job entails moving a car from point A to point B. Just move the car it's been 95 days!

SGT Auto participates on a shipping platform called "***" -- which I was using to try to ship a car from Illinois to Nassau County, NY. They were the low bid and they state that they will secure a truck in 1 - 4 business days. After they contacted me, I emailed them on the 2nd and 3rd day asking for an update and they said that they expected to have the truck secured the following day. After they had nothing at the end of day #4 and I called to complain, I received a call on day #5 trying to charge another $200 (on an $800 bid) -- "but I did not have to take it". I told them that this was bait and switch, they had slowed me down from getting another shipper when they never had an intention to honor their bid. They should be removed from *** and be monitored for this behavior as I'm strongly of the view this is a standard tactic they are employing. They are careful not to put the revised bid in writing as it clearly incriminates them.

I contacted sgt price was agreed upon told 1-4 business days as a turn around time to pick up car 4 business days came and went called multiple times assured absolutely could pick it up then i was contacted saying could pick up that day for 150$ more then contracted for i said absolutely not then was assured would pick it up those promises came and went contacted them before christmas said to cancel it was told ok will do and then 3 weeks after contract told ive been charged bc someone was dispatched to finally get the car

We hired this Company to take our car from El Paso, TX to Atlanta, GA on Tuesday January 5th. Their advertising says it would take a maximum of 72 hours for the car to be picked up. We paid the required fee as they charge in advance. Todays a week later the car still hasn't been picked up. Between me and my daughter we have called about 5 times and we can get a straight answer from these people. The answer we get is always the same; " a supervisor will call you shortly to advise when we will pick up your car". We have never been called back. Til this day we have no idea what is going to happen to our car!

SGT Auto Transport 220 N Main St Suite ***, Greenville, SC 29601 i hired the above company thru the *** website to trsnsport a car for me that inpurchased in cali snd deliver to il. i have evidence including video and witness statements that the was picked up in california in perfect condition and delivered to my house in il with dents and scratches. they sent out an adjuster about 4 weeks ago and have yet to reimburse me to fix my car which was below their insurance deductible. they have refused to doesk to me on the phone and only today started andwering emails after i filed disputes with *** and *** furthermore they refuse to reimburse me for car rental thst the insursnce adjuster they hired said i woild be eligible for 4 days. they said that therre bill of laden excludes car rental. however i did not get a bill of laden until after the car was deliveref which was after the *** did not sign it

I booked with SGT for $2299 on July 17 for July 20 first available pick up in San Diego. #*** The company committed to transfer of my Jeep from California to Kauai, Hawaii. The stated estimate I received was 1-4 days for pickup and 7-9 calendar days for shipping (see attached quote upon reservation). In good faith, trusted these dates. I need my car by August 2 at the latest. Given the longest of these windows, my Jeep should have arrived in Lihue on July 31 or 1, I felt confident I would have it before I needed it on the 2nd. I prepped my car and provided needed paperwork. There was massive confusion about needing my car title. I wasted hours acquiring the title from the bank and money on the overnight shipping of the title, only to be told that I didn't need it at all. *** now has my car is now set to arrive more than 2 weeks after I expected, costing me thousands in rental car fees. *** tracking: *** I am completely unsatisfied with this service.

I engaged this company to deliver my Toyota Camry from ***, Florida to ***, Nevada on May 23, 2022. The order was for a pick up on May 25, 2022. While they assured me that I could expect pickup on the 25th, they explained that they do in fact have a pickup window of 1-4 days. I understood that this could be possible and was willing to accept the possible delay. I secured a safe place for my car and a person responsible for delivering the key to SGT Transport when they picked it up. Since the pickup day came and went, I called them on day 5 to determine why the car had not been picked up as promised, and when it might be picked up. I was told they still trying to find a driver. And "sorry, but we are a day late". They "would let me know when they found a driver". I called today, on day 6 and they still had not secured a driver. They then called me shortly thereafter and suggested "we have an option for your shipment and we would like to go over the details of your shipment". I called and they proceeded to inform me that they could secure a driver but the price would need to be increased. I informed them in no uncertain terms that they should be calling to offer me a discount for bein late and that they had no business trying to increase the fee. We agreed to a price and a time frame. Since they were late, and had issues with finding a driver, I should not be paying extra for the delays. More importantly, their business model is based upon delivering a service at a fair price for which I was willing to pay. I am afraid they will attempt to hold my credit card hostage in order to secure a rate increase, when they are responsible for negotiating with subcontractors and their fees. I need help with resolving this issue as quickly as possible. I want my car delivered at the agreed upon price and time-frame.
