I got tricked by SEM Power, who sold me a system that doesn't make solar power like they said in the sales contract. SEM Power sold me a solar production of 11,6KW, but the other parts of the system limit the production to only 9.4Kw. The difference in power is big, and it also means a big loss of money for me as the customer. The CEO of SEM Power tried to blame other things that aren't true. He fired his salesman and now uses another one to deny the problem. I talked to solar experts, and they agreed with me, but the CEO of SEM Power won't change his mind. He even denied his previous emails where he promised to fix the situation.

SEM Power has totally dropped the ball when it comes to dealing with my problems with Solaredge Dashboard access. Not once, but twice, my solar power setup has gone kaput, leaving me high and dry with a pathetic energy production and a fat bill from my electric company. And guess what? The system has been throwing alerts left and right, but yours truly hasn't received a single one. As the ones who installed the darn thing, SEM Power is supposed to keep an eye on it and give me a heads up when things go south. But nope, they've failed to get in touch with me both times. And to add insult to injury, I've asked them to let me configure my own alerts for the system I paid good money for. Their response? "Contact Solar Edge!" But guess what Solar Edge said? It's SEM Power's job! So now I'm demanding that SEM Power get their act together and sort out this mess. And while they're at it, they better cough up $150 to cover the power generation I've lost and had to pay for out of my own pocket.

When SEM Power talked to me about financing through Mosaic, they mentioned a Government Program that would provide assistance for financing solar panels. They assured me that I would receive $15,000 to help cover the costs and reduce my monthly payments. However, when I submitted the necessary IRS documentation, I was informed that there was no such Government Program for solar panel financing. This came as a surprise to me.

Now, without the expected funds from the Government Program, my monthly costs are going to increase by another $100 next month. This will put a financial strain on me, especially since I am a widow of a deceased 21-year Marine. Like many others, I have had my children return home due to job losses and unexpected expenses.

I feel deceived by both SEM Power and Mosaic (the financial group that financed the project through SEM). The IRS confirmed that there is no program in place to help fund solar systems. If I had known that there were no funds available to assist with the costs, I would not have proceeded with the installation.

Instead of the promised assistance, the IRS provided me with a $15,000 tax credit, which I did not need. It seems like companies can get away with making deceitful promises in this way.

I got solar panels installed in 2017. The installation was done wrong and screws weren't put in the trusses. We got leaks & black mold. In June , I hired SEM Power in Tampa to install 34 solar panels on my roof. The contract was for $28,518. The contract has a 5-year warranty for installation, repairs, workmanship for panels, and the roof. Now, an independent roofer explained that the screws were put directly into the plywood of the roof, not the trusses. They weren't sealed or flashed properly. So, now I have small leaks in my roof and attic, causing black mold. The owner of SEM Power is Brett E. and the sales manager is Richard. SEM is coming to inspect the roof, but I don't trust that they'll fix it and remove the mold. Another problem is that one of the panels hasn't been working for over a year. SEM Power has come to fix it, but it still doesn't work. I'll upload pictures of the screws and mold in my attic.
