These guys from BetterBuy Energy came to our door and wouldn't take no for an answer. They were super pushy and annoying. Even though we had a sign that said no soliciting, the account executive just walked right past it. We had to threaten to call the cops just to get him to leave. He even swore at us on his way out. It was a terrible experience, but unfortunately, it's what you expect from these types of companies.

I called BetterBuy Energy on 6/24 to change my electric service to them starting 7/23. I found out in December that they never started the service, so I had to keep paying my current supplier more than I should have, at least $125. I told BetterBuy on Dec. 14 and they said it was because they switched computer systems and lost my order. They said they would investigate (Case #KM24JYP) but they never called back with a solution. I called twice more last time on Jan 5, 2022 but still no contact from the company. I want them to give me back the extra money (about $125) and keep the price they promised me, 6.09 cents/kwh for 18 months starting 7/23. Thanks, *** Circle Blue Bell. PA XXXXX

I was with BetterBuy Energy for 18 months and had a lower per kilowatt hour rate, which made me VERY HAPPY. However, in August 2022, I got a letter saying that I had to call by September 19th, 2022 to cancel my service with them if I did not want to renew my contract. Their rate was going from 4.7cents/kwh to 12.4cents/kwh, which is a HUGE INCREASE. My local FirstEnergy company still had a lower rate at 6.x cents, so I went back to them by calling on Sept. 12th, 2022. BetterBuy confirmed my account was canceled, and I received a letter the first week of October 2022 showing that my bill would be back to FirstEnergy and their rate. However, my bill was DOUBLE, and it showed that BETTERBUY was still my supplier. I was not happy at all! I called within the TERMS of the letter to CANCEL before the time needed to be sure I would be back with FIRSTENERGY directly. I would NO LONGER have another supplier for electricity at this time until rates leveled off again in the future. I called, and the lady said something about terms and conditions. I met them all and received the letter showing my ACCOUNT WAS CANCELED. My bill I just got in Oct 2022 should NOT have been with BETTERBUY anymore as of this last meter reading on Oct 18th. I am a very unhappy Customer!
