Scorpion Legal Protection — Requested legal assistance regarding a civil matter
On Wednesday 29 March 2017, I contacted the Scorpion Legal call centre, spoke to a consultant who informed me that due to high call volumes they will not be able to call me back immediately, however he asked what the reason for my call were. I advised the consultant that I have a son 18 years old at school still (matric) who was playing rugby for a private RFC without us knowing. We barred him previously from playing due to the various dangers of the sport, but most importantly for him not to be distracted from his school work. Yesterday he suffered a severe head injury during a practice session of which we we unaware as we thought that he is hanging out with friends. He came home just after 9pm last night and were complaining of severe headaches and was extremely confused and did not make any sense when comprehending. We took him to our medical doctor earlier today and it was medically confirmed that he suffered a severe concussion to the head and we were advised to immediately take him for a scan to establish severity of the head injury. I contacted the club he is playing for who blamed everyone except themselves. I was trying to explain this to the consultant who instead told me about children act, etc instead of trying to listen and to understand circumstances behind entire scenario. Scorpion Legal consultant extremely unprofessional and lack of compassion. I will resort to other alternatives for assistance instead of having to deal with an insensitive individual.
