Rocky Mountain Restoration Rocky Mountain Restoration ain't worth your time

Rocky Mountain Restoration ain't worth your time. They didn't finish any work on our crib and have been hounding us and our insurance company for over 4 grand. We've been trying to get in touch with them for 9 months and they just ignore us. They even left their gear in our place for over 2 months and when we asked them to come get it, they said it wasn't there. Dealing with these guys is a major headache and a waste of time. They're shady, crooked, and don't give a damn. I wouldn't give them any stars if I could.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Don't even think about hiring Rocky Mountain Restoration

Don't even think about hiring Rocky Mountain Restoration. They showed up on time, but when we got the bill, we were like, "What the heck?!" They charged us a crazy amount for fake services they didn't even do. They said they worked on the whole garage, but they only touched one corner where the water heater was. They also charged us twice for installing the water heater because they messed up the first time. And they charged us for wall repair and paint that we didn't even need. We're filing a complaint now. Don't waste your money on these scammers.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Don't ignore them 1 star reviews - there's a reason for it!

Don't ignore them 1 star reviews - there's a reason for it! They charge way too much because they want your insurance company to pay for it, but if your claim gets denied they'll come to you and say that their prices are reasonable and it's the norm. I'm not saying they didn't do any work that deserves payment, but I've never seen such high prices with no warning about it. Our plumber made us call them and didn't tell us about their crazy fee for emergency response (which was during business hours on a weekday). I've never complained about a contractor online before, but other homeowners need to know about this. Don't make the same mistake we did!

Rocky Mountain Restoration We hired Rocky Mountain Restoration after a fire in our garage, instead of the "Preferred Company" my insurance wanted us to use

We hired Rocky Mountain Restoration after a fire in our garage, instead of the "Preferred Company" my insurance wanted us to use. But, things didn't go smoothly. They took some of our stuff and were supposed to either save it or put it on a list so we could get reimbursed by insurance. But, they kept a lot of stuff and didn't list it. For example, we had two 30" bar clamps, but they only gave us one back. We had three wall-mounted tool racks, but they only gave us one back. They also kept our wheelbarrow and a ladder. They also kept three boxes of spare floor tiles from when our house was built. When they cleaned our tools, they put them in plastic bags and now they're rusty. It's hard to use a rusty wood chisel! We've asked about our missing stuff, but haven't gotten a good answer.

Rocky Mountain Restoration I gotta say, Rocky Mountain Restoration is a real piece of work

I gotta say, Rocky Mountain Restoration is a real piece of work. They took a simple leak and turned it into a whole mess that took months to fix. My condo had water coming from inside a wall, so I called my home warranty instead of a plumber like I should have. Big mistake. The plumber they sent couldn't figure it out, so they sent *** from Rocky Mountain Restoration. He said they needed to do an asbestos test before they could open the wall. Like, what?! Meanwhile, water is flooding everywhere and ruining my carpet. They did such a terrible job that I had three floods and lost my tenants. And then they had the nerve to call and email me saying they needed more money even though my insurance already paid them. I emailed them back and they gave me some lame excuse about a mistake. Yeah right. Don't waste your time with these clowns. Communication is supposed to be important, but they clearly missed that memo.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Rocky Mountain Restoration was referred to me by the company who was sent out by my home warranty company to replace my hot water heater

Rocky Mountain Restoration was referred to me by the company who was sent out by my home warranty company to replace my hot water heater. The job should not have been a big job. He hot water heater went out and leaked down the side was and out the garage door. This happened on a Thursday evening and the following Monday the hot water heater was replaced, Rocky Mountain Restoration came out on Tuesday and set up their dehumidifiers and air filters. They were in the house for about a week. A 6 ft or so wall in the garage backs up to the kitchen. The Kitchen was was not very wet, most of the moisture was in the garage. They left the equipment 2 days longer than they needed to, they said just to be on the safe side. When they picked up the equipment they took half one day and then did not have room in the truck for the rest and had to pick up the rest the next day. I called my insurance and started a claim as they would be the ones assisting me with that. When I got an invoice and was absolutely shocked to see that this small job was over $7000. The other company who filled in the little holes in the wall gave us a resonable invoice and the insurance approved it right away. When they saw the one from Rocky Mountain Restoration they were in shock as well. THE INVOICE WAS FOR 3 TIMES THE GOING RATE FOR A JOB THE SIZE OF MINE. The insurance approved the amount of $2341.23 and Rocky Mountain Restoration is still saying they will not work with the insurance and charging me $7650.04. They charged me for things on the invoice that they did not do. Their billing department is an attorneys office! When I get calls from the "billing department" I told the girl I would pay then when my insurance and them came to an agreed amount. She said that she would take the $2341.23 that the insurance company gave me already and then they would work on getting more out of the insurance company. I told her that is not how it works and we needed to go to a mediator to settle this. I am in constant contact with my insurance company trying to solve this pricing issue. I will pay them a fair price for their work but I also relied on their expertise to tell me what I needed. This price is also almost double the price my insurance adjustor paid when her whole 28,000 sq house completely flooded. My job was for under 2000 sq ft of wall space. Please BEWARE of this company! If I could give them under 1 star I would.

Rocky Mountain Restoration I'm a homeowner in Arizona and we used Rocky Mountain Restoration to fix some mold in our guest bathroom

I'm a homeowner in Arizona and we used Rocky Mountain Restoration to fix some mold in our guest bathroom. It took them a whole week to finish the job, which was a bit longer than we expected. They left their machines running for longer than necessary, which made the bill higher than it should have been. They also used our insurance to pay for the overpriced bill. When we called them, their customer service was really rude and didn't understand our situation at all. We tried to get a quote beforehand, but they refused to give us any information about the progress or cost until the job was done. That's just ridiculous.

Rocky Mountain Restoration The work done by Rocky Mountain Restoration was good, but they weren't honest about the charges

The work done by Rocky Mountain Restoration was good, but they weren't honest about the charges. Plumbing Masters suggested them to fix the water damage caused by a hot water heater leak. It was hard to get them to talk to our insurance company. But, after they got the insurance estimate, I told the manager (Chris F) on the phone that if the work would cost more than the estimate, they needed to tell the insurance BEFORE doing the work. They were at our place for about 3 hours. Their technician said that no dry-out was required because the damaged area had already dried out. They didn't say anything about the cost being more than the estimate. We got the bill in the mail and they charged over $2800 - more than twice the insurance estimate of $1249.29. I called and emailed them to follow the insurance estimate, but they didn't reply. I paid the insurance-approved amount (they cashed that check quickly) and now they said they would put a lien on the property if we don't pay the amount they charged.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Rocky Mountain Restoration (RMR) came to my house after a plumber found a leak

Rocky Mountain Restoration (RMR) came to my house after a plumber found a leak. The plumber said there might be mold and that I needed RMR's help. RMR came within 1 or 2 hours and spent 1-2 hours finding the leak and setting up 2 dehumidifiers and 1 air purifier. They kept saying my insurance would pay for everything. They didn't show me a list of costs or have me sign a contract. After a week, my insurance said they wouldn't pay. I asked RMR to take their machines back. A few days later, I got a letter saying they would put a lien on my house if I didn't pay. I asked for a bill and was surprised to see it was $3,600. They only worked for 2 hours and used machines. The plumber later said there was no mold and I didn't need RMR's help. I don't want to pay RMR because they said insurance would pay and didn't tell me the cost.

Rocky Mountain Restoration I hit up Rocky Mountain after a plumber told me to, saying they'd handle everything

I hit up Rocky Mountain after a plumber told me to, saying they'd handle everything. I called them and they said they'd come right over. I didn't say it was an emergency. The guy that came kept saying 'oh this will be covered 100% by the insurance'. 'you won't have to pay anything, we'll work with the insurance and they pay for EVERYTHING'. The guy said 'if you wanna call the insurance company while I'm here I can help you say the right things to get it covered'. They came in and started setting up this drying machine. They had me sign some stuff on a tablet, while talking to me, and talking while I was trying to look at it. They never gave me a copy of it or told me any prices. I called them the next day and told them I thought they should come pick up their machine (it had been about 12 hours) until the insurance company had a chance to look at it. I felt very uneasy about them repeatedly saying they would handle everything, I wouldn't pay a dime. I even asked 'what would happen if the claim is denied?' I was told don't worry, Ill make sure you don't say anything that'll get it denied. You won't have to pay anything, we work directly with the insurance company you won't even have to be involved after opening the claim. The insurance company said they would cover $250. I have now been billed $1900. An emergency call fee which wasn't authorized nor was it an emergency. A $1000 for a technician to come in for 15 mins for set up and breakdown and their dehumidifier machine for 12 hours. $500 for a test that they argued with the insurance company should've been paid, insurance company said its part of the exclusions and they should've known. I feel the first guy said whatever he needed to say to get me to get the job started. I trusted them as I'm a new homeowner and have never had an emergency before. The bill should be the exact amount the insurance company said they would pay them as they agreed to.

Rocky Mountain Restoration Rocky Mountain Restoration came to our house on 7/12 after our plumber called them for dry out services due to a leak in our basement

Rocky Mountain Restoration came to our house on 7/12 after our plumber called them for dry out services due to a leak in our basement. They found out that the leak came from a sub pump and was classified as a Cat 3 leak. They said they had to remove all the areas that were affected by the leak because it was the law. They made me sign a Certificate of *** Services document even though I'm not listed on the home. They told me it was just to confirm the work was complete so they could send it to the insurance company who they said would pay them. I signed it because the work was done, and they even tore down the ceiling in my bathroom without asking me. They didn't give us any pricing or invoice until we asked for it twice. They said they had already sent it to us, but that wasn't true.

Later, I found out that my insurance company didn't pay Rocky Mountain because they had an audit report that showed Rocky Mountain's invoice had major issues. They were overcharging us for many things, and they were charging us for after hours calls even though they came during the day. Rocky Mountain declined to accept thousand dollar payments per month while overcharging us and threatening us with court and a lien on our home. But I got the attached Audit Report, and I found out that the signature on Work Authorization, Direct *** Of Benefits pages 52 & 53 wasn't presented or signed by ***. I have notarized proof of *** signature. This is disappointing and disturbing.
