I paid for tax services that were not performed, and now there is a refusal to refund the money. My son and I formed an LLC with my property, but I didn't understand what they were or how they worked. I am 93 years old. My accountant, whom I had trusted for many years, turned out to be untrustworthy. After my son passed away, I found out that my entire estate was left to my son's two children. I have many more grandchildren and other living children who I never intended to exclude.

After my son's death, there was a meeting with my accountant about my estate. He told me everything was fine, but then he asked everyone to leave except for me and my grandson. He demanded money to start some tax process, I think. I didn't have my checkbook, so my grandson used his credit card, and later a check was written from Coral Reef Investments to repay the money.

I wanted to take back control of my estate and properties, but my deceased son's children refused. A lawsuit was filed, and I realized that my accountant was part of the fraud. He was fired, and I have a new accountant doing my taxes now. I no longer trust the old accountant. He didn't perform the work he was paid for, and I never received an invoice. When I asked for a refund, he sent me a letter charging me for phone calls that never happened and offered a partial refund if I signed a disengagement letter. I signed it, but I never got the refund.

He won't answer or return my calls or emails. I want my money back. He did nothing to earn it. I think he is upset because he had to give a deposition and wasn't truthful. I want nothing more to do with him. I feel taken advantage of because of my trust. He stole from me and took advantage of my loyalty. He continues to lie and refuses to communicate with me. This is the thanks I get after 30 years of loyalty. He is forcing me to take legal action. I'm too old and sick for this trouble, but it's about the principle. He has taken enough from me. I deserve a refund. I have a new accountant who is actually doing my taxes. The old one did nothing but lie and steal from me.
