Universal Windows Direct Windows

We bought what we thought were going to be a great addition to our home so we purchased 25 windows a 1 patio door. It all of 16 weeks to get the windows installed and right from the start there was an issue with a broken frame and then the installers cut of the windows and proceded to install but never measured the new windows to see if they were the correct sizes and just stuck them in and filled over a 2 inch gap at the top and another 1 and a half at the bottom with foam and plastic trim inside, then cut metal flashing on the outside with out a J channel or a stop on the siding and just caulked it up. They told me every window had to come out and be reinstalled but that never happened. These new windows are more drafty than my 20 year old windows and the 1 one broken framed 1 never got replaced at all. I'm still paying for them and they refuse to give me answers. I have a complaint with the Illinois attorney General and now we're filling suit.

Desired outcome: Refund

Universal Windows Direct Hardware and screen door on sliding glass door

Regarding job # [protected]. Shartle, 1229 Surfside Circle, Aurora OH 44202

I had a sliding patio door/screen installed on 7/25/2023. The handle on the sliding door is all pecked up and needs replaced, The sliding screen comes off the track every time it is opened, and has gaps in it where insects may enter the house when the screen is closed. The screen also makes a very annoying scraping noise when opened or closed and it is scraping off the finish color along the sliding track. After waiting so long to have my door installed, I am VERY displeased at how it came out. I would like someone to come out and inspect this door, and resolve all issues, and more, outlined above. Please contact me at your earliest convenience. Audrey Shartle [protected]

Desired outcome: I just want my door to work properly without any issues!

This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

Had all new windows and sliding glass doors installed over the past two years. The tune of $20,000.00. Front storm door cylinder was ripped away from door frame in dec.2021. After numerous complaints, still no repair. So much for the l severalifetime warranty. In addition sliding glass door frame/trim is still unfinished. Eight months been getting the run around! Several calls and e-mails, no results.. More excuses.
