Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing A/C issues for over 2 years without proper solution from the company I have a Trane A/C system which was installed in June

A/C issues for over 2 years without proper solution from the company I have a Trane A/C system which was installed in June . Since then, I have called *** on numerous occasions to report issues related to condensation accumulating around the ac vents as well as issues regarding the AC running continuously. The AC unit runs for over 9 hours during spring and over 18 hours in the summer. The equipment is under warranty and a technician from the company inspects it every 6 months. Every time the technician comes for inspection, he finds nothing abnormal and states that "that's the way the AC runs". I've noticed lots of air escaping from all around the air handler and I have been told by the technician "that's the way the equipment is". I am tired of paying very high electric bills monthly and am trying to get a solution from ***. I called 2 different companies to get a second opinion and both companies have told me that the AC compressor is 4 tons while the AC air handler is 3 1/2 tons which is not optimal for the 17 SEERS that the system has. I was told that both systems are designed to match in capacity and that's the reason why the AC unit runs longer in order to reach the home's set temperature. After getting the AC diagnosis from the other companies, I called *** and inform about the problem and requested a technician to come over and check the unit I was told by the company: 1- That I have to pay for the inspection, even though is under warranty, because the inspection is considered "labor" 2- They told me it's perfectly fine to have such discrepancies in capacity between the AC compressor and air handler and nothing can be done about that because it passed *** inspection. It is my opinion that Linstrom is not a reliable, honest, professional company. They intentionally installed a system that is not optimal due to mismatches in capacity between AC compressor and air handler and which not only increases the running cooling cycle but also increases my monthly energy bill, reduces the life spam of the machine, increases the humidity of the house leading to mold and health problems, and possible violates the warranty of the manufacturer that states that air handler and compressor must be the same size

Business Response The issue is resolved and customer is satisfied. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) *** sent over a technician to inspect the AC unit and found out that the unit was missing about 4 pounds of freon and the coil had a leak. They promptly addressed the issues and by next day I had the coil replaced and freon filled in the unit. They did the job at no extra cost since the AC unit is under warranty and I have been dealing with this problem for over 2 years, resulting in multiple prior inspections without optimal resolution. Even though the AC is working better after the repairs, it continues to run for extended periods of time. For example, I keep the thermostat at 75 degrees during the day and today the AC has been continuously working for 3 hours and the thermostat shows that temperature inside the house is 77 degrees. I have no windows or door open, I have not cooked today, the outside temperature is 85 degrees, the is no sun reaching the wall where the thermostat is mounted, there is an AC vent right on top of the thermostat, and the AC air handler is in a closed garage. I had AC units in the past and I never experienced having a unit that runs continuously for hours. The company keeps giving me excuses about the issues, they said it could be related to the place where the unit is, or the thermostat which is a Nest and according to them it not a good system, or they said that because the wall where the thermostat is mounted is hollow and carries warm air from the attic, and so on. I continue to say it is NOT normal to have an AC running continuously for hours. If what they say is true, everyone will have such issue and that's not the case. The air handler is 3.5 tons running with a max BTU that's not optimal for the 4 tons AC compressor that has more BTU. I am not a technician but that's what makes sense to me. The air handler should be of equal or more capacity than the AC compressor in order to work optimal. Business Response *** is currently working to resolve this with the customer we will update by 5/22/20 Consumer Response Duct work finished and 2 vents located in the garage were removed. Three independent companies, including FPL, inspected the house for possible air scape/entrance but inspections did not find anything abnormal. Still having issues with increased humidity and AC running continuously. I will replace the AC unit for a 5 Tons, I believe the problem is related to poor AC capacity to cool down a 2000sf property. I will use another AC brand for replacement instead of Trane high efficiency Business Response *** has left 2 messages for this customer will try again. Returned call 6/24/20 and left voice mail for supervisor Andre, awaiting call back Business Response *** has been in contact with the customer and is assisting with resolution to her problem.
