Nissan Canada Inc. nissan titan xd

Hello,
My name is Kristie Istead, I purchased a brand new 2016 Nissan Titan Xd on Mother's Day of 2017. This was my dream truck that took me 10 years to get, and honestly I've never been let down my a company so much. In the year and half that I've owned it it's now been into the shop over 22 times and goes in again this Wednesday to have another set of Bump stops installed in 6 months, I've had multiple issues with it from my door handle breaking in my hand, both 3/4 back seat has been replaced as well as front drivers seat, top back cargo light, which involved removing the whole interior roof (which broke and that had to be replaced as well) and now my truck whistles inside, my EGR valve went while on the 401 with a trailer full of animals and Nissan won't tow my trailer so my whole EGR system had to be replaced because of possible damage, radio issues upon radio issues and fighting with them to finally replace it, electrical issues causing my dash lights and everything to keep going black, my cruise control is debatable wether it wants to work or not at times most times won't work till I've been driving around 10 mins, my tail gate has fallen apart multiple times to the point I'm having them just bolt it to the top because it won't stay on and they say it's fine, I can keep going, it's basically I think I have a Lemon, it's literally falling apart under me and because it's a manufacture issue I went to them and they basically told me tough luck they won't help me and their closing my case. Is this legal and how can they get away with it? Now I'm literally stuck with a brand new truck that is falling apart! And it's only got 52, 000 Klms! I've Also filed with the BBB and so far it's been a week and nothing, and to top it off, now my front end is shaking and I will NEVER get another Nissan, we bought two at the same time and I'll be trading them in for a GM most likely. Seeing that Nissan has left me out to dry. These are just "some" of them, and it has to go back in AGAIN.
A very sad customer,
Kristie Istead

Nissan Canada Inc. Reimbursed for repaired even though a Recall Letter is issued for same!!

Received a Recall Letter (2015) for a steering column issue. Did the same repair in 2014. Found out the steering column assembly had an extended warranty (same part#). Was told it was a different part# by dealer originally even though I showed him a NICO Forum blog showing details. Been trying ever since to get reimbursed. It's a large $$ amount. Am ignored by Nissan Canada even though they promised to send a letter & e-mail with an explanation. We've bought 4 Infiniti's in the past. Great car. Lousy customer experience when an issue arises. At least North American cars have a Customer Arbitration process. The folks at Nissan Canada don't even come to meet you when you go to their offices in Mississauga. They hide behind e-mail addresses & 1-800#s. My 2 cents, skip Infiniti's not worth the aggravation.

Nissan Canada Inc. 2009 Nissan Altima Electronic Steering Column lock

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Altima from the Rendez Vous Nissan dealer in Hawkesbury, Ontario in 2010.

In 2013 I received a notice from Nissan stating that if there were issues that they would extend the warranty for a period of six years due to a manufacturing irregularity that has since been corrected. The ESCL may malfunction.

On Friday, September 18, 2015 on my return home and shutting my car off. The car would not restart. I remembered receiving the warranty extension and had to have the vehicle towed on Monday morning at a cost of 70$. The car dealership called me at 4:00 pm on Monday afternoon to advise that the "warranty" ran out in January and they would not cover it, a cost of $700 + to have it repaired.

I contacted the Nissan Customer Service company Tuesday morning and was advised that they would not "extend" an extended warranty.

I have no vehicle at this point in time. The car is at the dealership with the steering column torn out of it. The dealership service center has advised that it is a defective piece.

Nissan had to extend their warranty due to the irregularity and I believe that they should go good for the cost of the repair. This vehicle is our only reliable vehicle at this time and I am absolutely livid that they will not correct their mistake that they have "since corrected".

This has been an ongoing (an online search shows) and they weaseled their way out of it by doing an extended warranty but not a proper recall.

I want them to fix the ESCL and pay for the repair.

It is very clear from the letter that you posted that the warranty item was for 6 years ONLY... That means that the warranty would be 6 years from the date of manufacture. If the 6 years is up then you must pay for the repair. If you disagreed with that then the time to complain would have been in 2013 when you got the letter.
