Consumer Alliance Usa insurance signup/coverage

This is a compete scam. We found this website:
www.affordable-healthcare-plans.org
BE CLEAR: THIS IS NOT INSURANCE.
Thinking that it was in relation to the healthcare.gov website. This is in no way affiliated with healthcare.gov. It even says 'obamacare' right on the website. This is designed to reel in people like myself who are looking for healthcare coverage.
With signup, I received continuous calls for approx 2 hours, despite explaining to the reps that I was at work and wouldn't be able to handle this at the present time. I received one call about every 5-10 minutes, including several calls from the same place at the same time (yes, these guys are so bad they call the same number at the same time).
Not realizing what I had signed up for, I tried to go ahead and find a healthcare plan. I should have known since the rep tried to pressure me into buying very soon since the 'plans would fill up' a classic sales gimmick. I was about to finalize when I looked up reviews, and noticed the rep explaining that not only was this not apart of the Affordable Care Act (which I'm assuming they are required to tell because of previous legal issues) he also explained how 'unfair and problematic' it is, especially 'having to pay for someone else's healthcare.' My father had cancer in previous years from his military service (due to water poisoning) and would not have survived without some government assistance. I was bothered to hear political talks during a sales call, but decided to proceed. When I got the confirmation, I realized that not only was I being lied to (the confirmation of coverage was not the same as what I was just told from a previous rep) but this was created with a political agenda, designed to sway those who are otherwise unaware of the way the Affordable Care Act really works. I was asked several questions repeatedly regarding my pre-existing conditions, and told that if I had any, I would be considered lying and reported for a felony crime. This is also a lie, designed to keep me away if I actually had a condition.
When I requested to cancel, I was immediately disconnected without any confirmation. I also never received any email confirmation I was told I would receive for signing up, and I didn't receive one for canceling either, so I had to cancel my credit card. When I called back, I was told that my application was already terminated and I 'need not worry.' I requested to speak to a manager and was told that wasn't possible.
Throughout, I was outlined several times on the issues with the Affordable Care Act, rather than speaking about the insurance I was currently trying to buy. This continued even after I requested not to speak on these matters and focus on the issue at hand: my health coverage.
I've read multiple reviews and I believe anyone vouching for this business is working with/for them, and are not the real consumers using this product. This is designed as a propaganda machine and scam, wrapped into one. I would not trust any positive review of this business after my experience.

Also, do yourself a favor and lookup the WHOIS and ICANN results for the webpages in question. If you don't know what that is, google it. You can enter the information of any website and find its listed owner. This is likely a series of illegal businesses.

Consumer Alliance Usa terrible experience!

Was told all prescriptions would be covered at 15.00/per co-pay for generic brand medication and brand names at a slightly higher price that higher price turned out to be 500.00.

I am an insurance agent and I have done research on Consumer Alliance USA. Consumer Alliance USA is an association that provides insured benefits to their members. The benefits are insured by 10 - 12 A and A+ rated insurance companies. I checked with the insurance commissioner for the state in which I reside, and all of the insurance companies are valid and reputable companies. The networks that Consumer Alliance USA bills through are also valid and reputable. I checked with several doctors offices and they will accept the insurance that Consumer Alliance USA provides. This is a good company and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for insurance that is affordable.

What you were told was that most generics were $15. The association provides a website with an easy tool to check and find out if your drug is listed and compare prices.

Also, they dont set drug prices;drug companies and pharmacies do. You can't expect them to be everything to everybody at the low prices that Consumer Alliance charges.

I've found you cannot buy a Lexus at Chevy prices and these guys are honest about what they offer. Its for people like me that cant afford the overpriced major medical plans. Instead of paying $400 a month I pay $179.

Thank you Consumer Alliance USA for helping out working folks like us. My claims have been paid promptly and according to the plan I signed up for.
