Republic Services review: Absolutely terrible experience

I rarely leave reviews, but Republic Services deserves this one. Their customer service is abysmal — slow responses, unhelpful agents, and a complete lack of accountability. The costs are astronomical for what should be a basic utility. I was shocked by how much I was paying month after month for inconsistent service and missed pickups.
But the final straw? When I closed my account, they charged me $70 just to pick up the old trash can. Yes, you read that right — seventy dollars to retrieve their own equipment. It’s a blatant money grab and a slap in the face to loyal customers.
Avoid Republic Services if you value transparency, fair pricing, and decent service. There are better waste management companies out there that won’t nickel-and-dime you at every turn.
