Removal request
I have requested that this company remove my home information and stop advertising to sell my property option. As a victim of crime and identity theft not only our physical safety is at risk but also real estate fraud crime, at the high risk alert increase by Federal law enforcements. I have requested that my property is opt out due to circumstances and CT law, ReMax is not only refusing, ignoring my request but they have provided name of the agent listing my property for sale (which is fraud as its not for sale and without my permission) I request immediate removal
Desired outcome: Remove it immediatetly from their website and stop advertising my property for sale or possible fraud opportunities https://www.remax.com/ct/granby/home-details/171-w-granby-rd-granby-ct-06035/8651688631917222967
Home bought in Costa Rica
I trusted Remax because I had a great expeience in the US. However when I purchased a home in Costa Rica through "Remax Best Climate Atenas" I was extremely disappointed. My Agent and both Brokers (both Remax) covered up a major omission, that does not only affect the value of my property but also includes a safety issue. The Remax "Investigator" sided with Remax and nothing was resolved. Before I bought the home in Costa Rica I followed the Remax agent through a large iron gate and a nice road and given a remote to the iron gate. After the sale I find that this is not my access and it has been closed off, The access is at an extreme angle and no emergency vehicle can make it to my home. I now have to buy a four wheel drive truck with a larger engine at $10,000.00 more then the same truck with a smaller engine. The value of my home has gone down if I can even sell it. (no American will buy the house)
Thank you and have a great day
Desired outcome: The amount of money I have lost. $10,000.00 for the truck upgrade $11,000.00 to repave to make it safe when it rains not sure about the value loss of the house. and all parties involved need to admit what they did in writing.

Listing agent/luke short
We listed our home with Agent Luke Short with Remax Chagrin Falls. Very disappointed in the whole process. As we all know selling a home can be a very trying time to anyone. There is a lot of details and paperwork that go into making the sale of your home a successful process. Things always come up and clients may always have questions as things come up. Our home was built in 1897 so there was definitely more paperwork than your traditional home. We had many questions, as we should we reached out to our agent Luke Short we were yelled at and swore at. He left us a nasty text message saying F us and we don't come before his son and that he was at a baseball game and was busy. Received another text the next day saying he was dropping us as his clients and wanted nothing to do with us. So needless to say, our listing was pulled from the market.
So many Codes of Ethics were neglected as well as Lack of Empathy.
Luke Short is a terrible Real Estate agent and it all about him and the money.
Realtor Lori Yarbro
Worst Agency. I've been lied to about my home value before the listing. Then two weeks in I had to drop the price, rewrite the home descriptions because the agent did not know how to write a description. Had to reorganize the photos because the agent though 10 photos of the house roof was more important because her husband took them over the actual inside of the house. Had to get her to follow thru with communicating with the agent. Refused to hold open houses or even talk to agents that actually showed the house. Not her job it's all done by a app. I had a issue with the title which Escrow/lawyer was handling but she and the broker wanted to transfer to the escrow/lawyer from when I bought the problem. The escrow company that didn't do a full legal escrow 5 years earlier. Once we extended the escrow 90 days she stopped giving me updates. I contacted her on day 44 she said it wasn't her job she's not a lawyer. (?) It is her job to talk with escrow to see how things are going. She insisted it was her job she's not a lawyer. She did say she tried contacting escrow but never heard back. And she would send the emails. Which she never did.
HONESTLY STAY AWAY FROM THE AGENCY.
Desired outcome: This agency needs to be reviewed and the agent repled
Real estate agency posing as someone who can help and badgering my family
Alex Modaressi who is a real estate agent for Remax has never once contacted me or mailed information to my home however, he has been contacting my Father, Mother, Sister, ex-wife, and daughter badgering them about my possible foreclosure of my home. He is telling them they have programs for me to stay in my home, etc. Remax is a real estate agency not a home and it is not for him to divulge my financial situation to anyone. I am working with a reliable outfit in Delaware to save my home. I have attempted to call him twice and he doesn't answer his phone. His number is [protected] yet his texts come up as [protected]. My family members live in their own homes and in different states. He could get a hold of my daughters cell phone number in Boston and harass her about my home but he can't reach out to me directly. This practice is awful, insenstive, and I am sure unlawful. My name is Steven Mitchell and my number is [protected].
Desired outcome: It needs to stop with consequences if it happens again!

I rented a house in Parma from them from 2 to 2
I rented a house in Parma from them from 2 to 2. The prior tenants were not given security deposit for numerous reasons, but one for cleaning. We received this house unclean and horrible. We rented for a year, paid all rent on time and had good relations (business and personal) with some of the neighbors. When the lease was up, I totall cleaned the house and left it in re-rentable conditions. Unlike what was given to us. So they charge me for repairs to walls that were never done. They even used my pictures to list the house for sale.. Story short, they charged the previous people for things that were not done, and now charging me for things not true or even done. Scammers!

On 2/23, I viewed a property I was interesting in renting that was managed by Remax
On 2/23, I viewed a property I was interesting in renting that was managed by Remax. I applied for this property the following day. On the application, I disclosed that my source of income was workers compensation and filled out the employment section of the application accordingly. I listed my case manager as my supervisor with contact information along with my income. On 2/25, I received a phone call stating I had been approved for the property based on the information I provided. I accepted their offer and received an email requesting earnings history, my drivers license and a move-in date. I supplied all this information. Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from *** at Remax stating that they would not honor their approval unless I was able to have my income certified for the duration of the lease period, in this case for one year. I informed Remax that workers compensation was my source of income before I filled out the rental application and on the application itself. If they were going to require this, they should have done so before the application was filed and should not have approved me for the property prior to requesting this. If I had been aware of this ridiculous requirement, I would have chosen to apply elsewhere.

There was an amount removed from my checking account via *** in the amount of 635.00
There was an amount removed from my checking account via *** in the amount of 635.00. I contacted *** to see why this would have been. They stated that the amount was set up as a future payment for that date. I let them know that I had no recollection of doing so. I also let them know that I had no record on my current account of doing so, and if I did set this transaction up, it was truly in error. The amount of the transaction indicates this. That was the past amount that I'd paid for rent. Despite this, *** refuses to refund the amount! Errors do occur with both parties at times. My rent is paid up, that amount is not the valid amount. It all screams error, so I'm not sure why they would not be able to refund it, they have no right to it. As a result I have disputed charges with my bank. *** has informed me that I will be penalized by incurring a 30.00 NSF charge. As well as not being able to pay my rent for 3 billing cycles and, I will have to manually deliver my rent to their offices for three months as well as incur a 10.00 processing fee, for having submitted my rent manually. This is very unbending, down right bullyish ! As a result, my funds are currently locked up and cannot be utilized until this is all resolved. I am very frustrated that this is how tenants are being treated. I have been at this property for 9 years prior to *** taking over as the mangers.

Good morning thank you for your attention to this matter
Good morning thank you for your attention to this matter. I have been a renter at 4:03 *** for the past 2 years with *** realtor in Bedford Ohio. Based on my observation I have been in good standing there has not been any complaints from my neighbors of loud noise and there has not been any issues with law enforcement as well. When I moved in I informed *** that I was interested in mouth to month because I have planned to relocate to another state to be close to family. I have been renting month to month for the past year to help with my transition. I submitted a 30 day notice to *** that I will be leaving the property at the end of January However due to my employment I had to remain in Cleveland until February to 5th to collect my final paycheck. I informed *** that I needed to stay a additional 2 weeks. *** informed me that I was responsible to pay the entire month of February. I have paid rent for the entire month of February . Due to the coronavirus *** is no open daily. *** is only open on Mondays, Wednesday and Friday that has made things difficult for their residents. I had arranged for my neighbor to return my key. *** ask if I trust my neighbor to return my key and I said 'yes. A key was given to my neighbor who resides next door and is also a renter with *** in Bedford Ohio. I received a email from *** on Thursday of last week stating that y key has not been returned and that my neighbor had the coronavirus. *** who is also the assistant manager said that I will be charged for a rekey. I responded back to the email stating that I have until the end of the month and that a key will be provided for my unit by the end of February , since I am paid until the end of February . Bass on follow up email *** is still planning to charge me/deduct a rekey from my deposit. At this time I am still paid up to the end of this month I have also continue my rental insurance until the end of February as well. I spoke with my neighbor she indicated that she does not have coronavirus but did quarantine herself until her test results come back and will return the key to ***.

Realtor Mike Carney 92 windingbrook road Bordentown, NJ
I signed a contract to sell my house in the summer of 2020. When I signed the contract, I expressed to the realtor that I did not have the funds to make any major repairs. The main purpose for selling my home was to make money to pay off the mortgage and hopefully buy or rent something smaller. Easy enough until Mike Carney began bringing his people over to the house. Including a stager, paintor, roofing and Hvac companies to make repairs before the house could go live on the market. I continued to explain to Mike Carney that I did not have the money to make costly repairs to the house. He even suggested I borrow the money from family, a pension or home equity loan. There was no reasoning with him. He would not listen to what I wanted and needed to do to sell my home. Simultaneously he was also using the handy man I hired to fix his rental property a few houses down from where I lived. He pulled him from my job to get his house ready for renters moving in the beginning of August. He recommended another handy man painter named Hector that was an absolute nightmare and left the job unfinished because I complained about the mess they made and wouldn't clean up. I emailed Mike Carney about my concerns about the handy man and in turn Mike Carney forwarded my message to the painter who replied with a very rude message. Mike Carney asked me to order the painters lunch that I had to pay for. Months after signing the contract to sell the house I was still paying for repairs I didn't have the money. Before the house goes live on the realtor decides to bring a client to buy the house. The client decides to buy the house and the paperwork is drawn up only to be canceled because the buyer couldn't verify his funds to but the house. He wasn't even pre approved! At this point I asked the real estate attorney MIke Carney recommended to get me out of the contract and he said there was nothing I could do but wait until the contract expired in December. After many months of stress, financial problems and arguments with Mike Carney, the house finally went on the market in the fall. This man caused me so much stress and two years kater I am still suffering from this event. My house sold in November and Mike Carney never took me to look at houses. Every time I suggested he take me to look at a house he advised that I get my house under contract first.
I have many regrets about that transaction but the biggest is trusting Mike Carney. This realtor is unprofessional and unethical. He took advantage of my situation and ignored what I needed. He violated my trust in him and as a result, I lost money on the sale of the house and still have horrible anxiety over the entire experience. I expect that remax will penalize Mike Carney for his lack of boundaries and unethical behavior to prevent this from happening to another person,

We dealt with a rental realtor named Sophie Chi, in California. She treated us like less then her, she laughed at my sister in law about her bank statements. I had a co-signer and plenty of money for a down payment. She was sent a bank statement and laughed and analyzed their spending. My dad had a 714 credit score and we have plenty of money to put down. She was rude, degrading, could barely speak English and treated us like we were less then her. The rental she was showing was not upgraded, she never showed for open house, and the house needed a lot of work. Not only was it false advertising, she was rude, racist, disrespectful, and completely false in her results. Absolutely worst customer service.

Reason 3 Substantially interfered with my reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or complex or with the reasonable enjoyment of a member of my household
and 4: Harassed, coerced, obstructed, threatened or interfered with me:
Agent: Kim Susands
This is the third time the landlords, Scott and Paige Dunklin have informed us that they plan to put unit 68 at 53 Taunton Road east up for sale.
The unit wasn’t listed on the market by Kim until the second time Scott and Paige decided to sell. On August 26th, 2022, Scott informed us that they were no longer planning to sell the unit. Kim contacted us on September 9, 2022 at 8:30 at night to see if we would vacate our home for a viewing the next day at 2pm. She knew the unit was no longer for sale.
We are practicing Christians. Good Friday, Kim Susands, the realtor, scheduled viewings with no account for our religious practices or beliefs. When I tried to explain that we are Christians (Spanish/catholic) and practicing, Kim used that per Landlord and Tenant laws and 24 hours notice to coerce/inform us that we have to leave our home for viewings even on religious holidays.
We vacated for the first viewing. She told us she would block the rest of the time to allow us to celebrate the holiday but didn’t. When the second viewing came in I had to push back. We are practicing Christians. Easter is very important as a Christian and we spent our Easter weekend not celebrating the death and resurrection but roaming the streets. This isn’t the first occasion of Kim disregarding us, our quality of life, just us in order to sell the unit.
Last August right before Scott and Paige decided not to sell, she tried to bully us out of holding the Celebration of life we hand planned that weekend to show the unit. They actually refer to it in their message to us because I had followed up with them because of Kim.
Included are my emails with Scott and Paige regarding the matter with screen shots of my conversation with Kim.
Thank you

This is still a active listing in escrow.
My 1st meeting with Lori Yarbro was 7 weeks before I actually listed. I was told by Yarbro that my home would easily list for $207,000. That she would be using a professional photographer and that I could cancel my listing at anytime even though I was signing a 6 month listing contract.
When I did sign the contract Yarbro failed to mention she was only going to list it on Remax MLS site and then the other internet sites. She did not inform me that there would be NO open houses, NO caravans, NO mailers and NO other forms of advertising. We listed the house at $165,000 not $207,000 as she mentioned. She did not use a professional photographer she used he phone for photos and a video.
Over all she was only going to do a 1/3 of the work but still expected a 3% commission. She should only receive a 2% an that is more then fair.
Two weeks after listing I went in and dropped my price down to $149,900. I only had two inquiries in that two week period. Once the price was dropped I had considerable more interest and went into escrow on a offer. When I lowered the price I also had to reword the description of the property. She failed to point out the major upgrades on the property. She also posted 10 airreal photos in front of the actual house and house photos. Very poor presentation.
We ran into a issue during escrow. Chicago Tile found a lien on the property that should have been cleared from the previous owners. Something that my title company failed to find when I bought the house. Yarbro failed/refused to inform the buyer and buyers agent. Even after I've asked 4 times to have it done. She talked with the lawyer/title company that sold me the house and worked out a deal to have it removed from our present lawyer back to him. When I found out through a call from my past escrow company and was informed that I had two chooses. Both of them was to move my escrow over to him and he would have his insurance company insure the title by working around it. Or let him sue the foreclosure lawyers for not disclosure. He said he would cover the cost. I said no. Told he was legally responsible to fix this and no way was I getting involved in a unethical work around fixing. He fine that I was on my own. After the call I called Yarbro and asked what the hell she was doing talking to him and working behind my back without my sayso. she was told not to discuss this again with him. She also implied that our present escrow lawyer was involved. Which I found out was not involved. 4 days later if informed Yarbro of two possible opportunities I was going to put to my present escrow to see if there insurance company would be please. Yarbro went and spoke to the escrow company and she also spoke to my old escrow company after she was told not to. Claiming to represent me. When I found out about it she informed me that if the seller wants to switch escrow company that I don't have a say. I pointed out that that was [censored] we have a contract and any changes will need my approval. I was told her that I was reporting my old escrow company for failure to properly do their duty and for extortion. It is clear Yarbro did not and does not have my best interest. For she was defending and working once again against my wishes and best interest.
It took me 4 times to request that she notify the buyer of the lien. It took me 3 times to get her to put in writing that a extension was needed.
Yarbro keep tell me she either spoke to or txted the buyers agent. I had to remind he verbal communication is NOT LEGAL or binding. Written communication is period.
My old escrow is a company that remax in lexington does business with regulary. An they did not wish to cause issues for future contacts. This was Yarbros Brokers reply to me. Linda remax broker was informed of all these issues and refused to do anything. Even when I pointed out the lies I was told before signing a contract.
The lack of work resulting in having to over pay through commission is bad enough but to be lied to, not be properly represented, to have ones agent work behind my back. An to have to micromanage Yarbo to get her to follow real estate law and ethics is totally disgusting. And to be told by a broker that homes in the countryside don't get open houses or treated the same as other areas is because it is a waste of a agents time and money.
Desired outcome: Full suspension and retaking of real estate law and ethics courses in a classroom not on line. Reevaluate of your remax Lexington Tn office.

We have wasted 6 months in a false hope given by your reator harry. He promised to sell us 4 bays and kept us in loop. We kept requesting him to do the final paperwork but he kept on delaying it. Now we came to know that he is trying to sell the same property to others for more money.
We wasted alot of $$ in this waiting process. We had to make a new company to get the paperwork which we did. Also we had burrowed the downpayment fr bank for which we paid interest. I dnt understand why do the realtors have to do keep people swinging. Why cant u be honest and tell the truth. Why dont RECA teach them lesson of professionalism? So disappointed
Real Estate Agencies in Turkey
Dear Remax management,
I have been looking for a house in Ankara for over a month, and Remax agencies are authorized for the majority of houses for sale in Ankara. In that regard, I concluded based on multiple bad experiences that Remax agencies and staff definitely need exhaustive training sessions on code of conduct, communication and customer relations.
Following are two worst examples among all, as well as my specific grievances to report:
An agent from Remax Plus (Ankara) : On 18.03.2023, we had an appointment to 11.20 am for advertising of a house. I followed the navigation through the pointed location in the relevant website and arrived on time. After waiting a reasonable time, I called her and her response was «You were supposed to request the accurate location of the house, the one in website was automatically and randomly appears when writing the name of neighborhood» This information is false because I personally am able to make precise positioning of the locations in that website (www.sahibinden.com). Unnamed small Real Estate agencies are able to do as well. This indicates that your agent is «too busy» for efficient use of technology and care about customers’ comfort and accesibility, as well as not even being aware that major value differences are possible even between different streets in same neighborhood. When she eventually conveyed the accurate location via WhatsApp, I found out that I was at a 20 mins distance by walk. I kindly requested her to pick me up but she said she had another costumer for the same house (for the same exact appointment time). I started to walk, she called me after 10 mins and when I responded as I had 10 more mins, she responded me back that she would arrange the next appointment and I would have to wait when I arrive. Eventually, I asked her how many customers she arranged for the same appointment date and time; which leaded us into argueing. She told me that she had never been mean to me but I was pushing her! I hang off before letting her to start being «meaner».
An agent from Remax Bien (Ankara) : started conversation by saying that «It is better I elaborate the conditions first, so that you won’t waste my time». We ended up argueing after I criticized his unacceptable intro.
I will provide names upon request hopefully in the next steps towards the resolution.
Consequently, I believe and highly recommend Remax HQ to update their trainings on code of conduct as well as paying extensive attention on communication skills during their recruitment process. As a customer, we would like to regard Remax again one of the most reliable and preferable real estate agencies in Turkiye.
Regards
Desired outcome: Please keep me posted on taken actions.
Unethical Realestate Transaction and representation
The worst realtors Ive dealt with in my investing realestate career, and thats a lot of past sales. I could write a book on this negative very frustrating experience but I will just say very very unprofessional, unethical, does not have your best interest, talks down to you, wants to price your property below market value and just wants to make a sale. I never thought I would run into such an unprofessional realtor but I did. I even reached out to the main Remax broker, nothing done so I pulled all my other remax listings with other Remax realtors. I will never ever make that mistake again or deal with Remax
Desired outcome: Just want people to know the truth.
Questionable broker in Ambergris Caye Belize
Jeff Bella is the broker in question. He runs the Remax office on Ambergrys Caye in Belize. Hired him to sell our property there and got no help or guidance from him at all. An agent, let alone a broker, is supposed to provide help and guidance of a very difficult transaction. He did nothing. It has taken over a year to finalize the closing which he did not even attend. We had to hire our own attorney to provide the assistance Bella did not. A great expense we incurred for the lack of Bella doing anything to assist with the closing. The closing did not happen on the closing date to due to Bella not providing any information to the buyers, or us the sellers, him being the agent for both sides. We have withheld his commission due to that fact of having to pay an attorney for his lack of assistance. Now he is threatening us with fraud. I am seeking legal advise again on my own and possible punitive damages from him and Remax.
It is astounding that someone like Remax will franchise a person like this. Remax should really revoke his franchise license and look into possible legal action. This agent has threatened us previously in emails when we pointed out to him that the attorney fees we were having to incur would come out of his commission. The last 6 months before closing he made no attempt to contact us at all to find the status. Strangely he is the one that set up the closing and the financing for the buyers with Atlantic Bank and his buddies at the bank. This situation all sounds very sketchy and possibly illegal.
Bella threatening us with fraud is the last straw with him. I know things don't operate the same in the Caribbean, this man is out of control. He has not ethics whatsoever. An agent or broker in the USA would never be allowed to operate like this. His lack of concern about a deal he arranged and refused to assist us is his problem not ours. Remax needs to get a handle on this man.
Desired outcome: His commission being forgotten and him being de-franchised as a Remax broker. I don't like him possibly hurting other honest people looking to buy or sell property there.
We have received your comment. Thank you!
