RAC Motoring Services / RAC Group review: Serviced my car with permission when they should have been dealing with reported issue of engine issue.

Requested breakdown cover as white smoke was pouring out of my car after oil top up. Someone came out and told me I had overfilled my engine and it needed draining, and that he could book it for me, I agreed and he took my card details and charged me 0.01p, confirmed it was booked in then left. A different engineer arrived a few days later and took my keys off me, he said it would take a couple of hours, so I left him completely alone to do the job. 2 to 3 hours later, ke knocked on my door and told me my car had ruined his day, and he had never seen anything like it before, I should probably get it towed to a garage to remove all the oil which had apparently spread to components it should not have. I agreed to pay for the job, (previously booked in by first sent out engineer) as I assumed I was paying for the time and effort.

It has since been towed by a 3rd rac mechanic or driver to a local garage, all I was able to tell the garage was that I'd overfilled the engine with oil, the rac mechanic said it was too much for him to do on the driveway, and that it needed to be done in a garage.

The garage rang me yesterday and we're confused as to what they were supposed to be doing, and could I forward on any reports I had from the rac mechanic. I did so.
I have now just spoken to the mechanic at the garage, and he has told me that the report from the rac mechanic, mentions nothing about overfilling and overflowing of oil, but that he has carried out a full service on my vehicle! The mechanic has delayed any work on the vehicle until I have resolved this issue with you, as he believes what the mechanic has done when servicing the vehicle has made the problems much worse, and potentially caused a lot issues that now need resolving, including multiple possible new parts.

I am baffled as to why a service was carried out on my vehicle, when I never once mentioned this, and was very clear to the first person sent out what the issue was.
