JJ Rebuilders

My reviews of JJ Rebuilders kept getting removed on Yelp (perhaps J. doesn't like the truth getting out there), so here it is for this site (I've kept the Yelp reference in as well, so you can see how bad the situation really is when JJ Rebuilders can have certain bad reviews removed... makes you question how valuable Yelp really is, though I'm not adding attachments here, happy to provide them to anyone interested - proof of being a customer, of the bad block, communications, etc.): 

1. We got a bad engine from J. (cracked block, coolant leaking in to the oil, but you wouldn't know it from his videos, so don't be fooled, he doesn't run them with the water pump connected, and doesn't really fully test them! And doesn't honor his warranty!) 

2. We tried to contact J. and JJ Rebuilders and the warranty department for over 3 weeks, to try and get to some resolution / return of the engine - no-one would speak to us about the issue! (we called 20+ times and sent numerous emails too). 

3. We ended up going through BBB to try and get justice, but that didn't work either, even with Arbitration! (more on that if you want to hear about it). Two things I'll note though are: 

  i) BBB rating has nothing to do with customer satisfaction (check out the BBB site explaining their rating, it's ridiculous!) and 

  ii) Only during arbitration did J. admit that his engines come from wrecked trucks! Buyer beware! 

If you'll notice, the only positive reviews so far for this business seem to be from local visitors, so if you're thinking of buying anything from him, and you aren't local and can verify the condition of what you're buying on the spot, I'd say: STAY AWAY! 

This business seems to be running a scam and is one of the most unethical businesses we have ever dealt with. As one lawyer mentioned to us, Hialeah businesses are known as "the bottom of the barrel." Do your research before giving a single dollar to this business! 

p.s. note that out of 15 reviews (to date, and including mine that keeps getting removed) 10 of them are 1-star - I'm sure you can imagine that if possible each of those 10 would be 0-star ratings! This means the true Yelp! score should be closer to 1.5-star (15 reviews for a total of 23 stars, you can do the math) AND if you are an out-of-state business, consider the JJ Rebuilders rating on Yelp! should be 0-STARS! (or really 0.3) 

Additional Message to J.: If you want a better review from us, do the right thing by the business and we'll update the review!

Bought an engine from these guys, ran like a charm. Gonna use 'em again. Thanks for the assist.

I'm really happy with the engine I bought from JJ Rebuilders Inc. to replace my ISX15 2012 that was turning the million miles. All the information about the engine and the assistance provided by Juan Pablo was definitive to make the replacement easier and more reliable. It's really good to know that there are still honest people and companies willing to give excellent service and assistance. I have run the engine I bought over 15000 miles already without any issues. I strongly recommend this company based on my personal experience.
