I purchased my unit in July 2023. I’ve been having an issue with a heating cable cord that is wrapped around the oil tank that Quincy is refusing to help with. I hired a Master electrician, and two different journeymen all from different companies to look at this issue and they all said that it’s a design flaw and not my setup. The Master electrician recommended taking the cord off because he believes it is a serious fire hazard. I also paid a HVAC expert in an online forum for help because these options are an 1/8 of the cost to get one Quincy or distributor maintenance guy to come look at it.The heating cable cord is essentially melting away due to the sensor in the cord not shutting off after it reaches operating temperature. I was essentially told that this problem is too small for them to care about and they would send me 1 free cord replacement that would probably burn up in a few months, not solving the problem. This has taken place over almost 2 years with 0 progress and them stone walling me even though I’ve been incredibly patient and understanding throughout this process.
Claimed loss: I’ve spent $300 on a replacement cord that is almost burned up again and I will need a new one soon.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate Quincy even bothering to respond to the issues I have been having. If they could help me fix this issue that would be great
