Pure and Gentle review: Oatmeal body bar soap terrible smell

My family, friends, and neighbors have used Pure & Gentle products for years, especially the Oatmeal Body Bar Soap. With my most recent order, I noticed the packaging had changed and hoped the product hadn’t been altered again. Unfortunately, the first bar we opened had an extremely unpleasant smell — so strong that I had to rewash with shampoo to get rid of it.
This is the same issue I experienced a few years ago, and it’s disappointing to see it happening again. It’s clear that something in the formulation, raw materials or raw material suppliers, and/or manufacturing site has changed, and the result is a product with the worst quality that no longer resembles the one we trusted. The same decline happened with their hand soap after a previous reformulation.
Changes like these may cut costs, but they also drive loyal customers away. I called customer service today and spoke with Cody, but at this point, Pure & Gentle has lost me as a customer unless they reinstate the Oatmeal Body Bar Soap and Hand Soap that we used to receive.
