That rule is not absolute. Customers are not always right; there is no law saying that customers are always right. That statement was an advertising slogan of a company. Apart from that, that service sounds absolutely reprehensible. I would strongly suggest that you write a letter to the Subway corporate office. Even though George is a franshisee, he is still accountable to the parent company. When you write the letter, make sure you capitalise the beginning of sentences.

To be the devil's advocate, maybe the worker thought that you had what you needed and no longer needed help. Did the worker leave you to cash out customers who had been waiting longer?

I received a rude letter as well.Whoever- mother or daughter- sent it seems to think I am a male, which is a bit worrying. No one deserves to receive that horrible letter that the OP/daughter sent. Was your son a boarder? The website claims that the cost for boarding a student at that school is $42 500 and for a day student is $22 500. Were you just rounding up the amount or lying?
It is possible that the hostess needed to place customers at a table on a roster, so that servers would not be overloaded with tables.
