OMG these people keep calling my phone for another customer. I told them like 6 times this is not that person's number.
Advice? They aren't going to cancel the contract...But I was involved with AMP and for me they wouldn't cancel my account or NOTHING! I called the BBB and that didn't work either. I changed all of my banking account info (checking account number and debit card #) that's how I got them to stop taking money out of my account. I don't know how you are paying (like auto payment through checking if you are do it this way please). I pretended that I was moving and gave them a phony address (abandoned house) and they got their equipment out and stop taking my money, problem solved. You can do small claims court, but that's going to be forever and a day...you can go that route. It will mess up your credit, but I wouldn't pay a dime...quick fix...CHANGE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO NOW! Then when you do, tell the rep on the phone (your bank) that the company can't take your money and to block that ID (every company uses some kind of ID when they debit money) to make sure they can't still get to you.
"We are still paying 1 1/2 years later because the contract was rewritten after they left the house." Who is they? The new owners or old ones?
Yes, check your food before you leave the lot or dinning area...I have that problem all the time with different places...especially Wendy's. But the manager shouldn't have been rude. What she should have said was to come back up, bring your receipt (with your stuff or without it the receipt would have sufficed) and could have gave you what was missing...problem solved (in the perfect world lol)
@HWGA sometimes people are in a rush and don't have or want to take time to do that...u figure a 15 min wait, it should have been right and they should have gave him something free for waiting (happened to me @ FKC the other night..waited long gave me free chicken)...but now that has happen, I'm sure they will check before they leave
"I swear this guy was wearing shorts, that were tight cotton, and his package could be seen clearly, he had on black dress socks, a jacket, and tennis shoes, and his hair was sticking up all over. " ROTFLMAO @ this comment, hilarious!
Capital One is a rip off anyways...you defaulted...wow must have been a long time because you had to pay that much? That's crazy. Hey ppl run into hard times, it happens to a LOT of ppl...
LOL@ HWGA...come on...u know I'm right...no they don't have 30 secs to check their food...that only happens in a perfect world lol.
Hmmm that is interesting...could be a scam artist. A friend of mine said this agency called him, threatening they were going to come to his job and arrest him, charges were being filed etc. Then he asked for proof or the company name of the loan company, they couldn't prove it. He asked for documentation they pretty much said the same thing. Could be someone scamming to get money because they know ppl don't want to be arrested. But sounds like maybe someone used ure info to get a cc?
Yes that's important and make sure you date it if it's not legally copyrighted whatever u write, at the end date and sign that will CYA (cover your a**)
@Powerzero whatever their name is "dead" period they are rip offs end of story stop drinking the kool aid. It's all a bunch of legal BS they are horrible I cancelled in time and they took it for a joke! Its a lot of stuff they did not inform me of until AFTER they had me locked in bad business. Not to come at you, however one bad apple spoils the bunch. sorry.
That's messed up you had to go through all of that. I just posted a complaint about them as well. I'm definitely going somewhere else to do my banking!
@disgusted. You are totally right. It BS. I think what it is, Sears has this mentality and on an ego trip and stuck in the past. They are so pumped up on their name, they don't realize their name doesn't mean jack anymore. That new program is just like their "SP" program they had years ago that they phased out.
@Iron I did, just oh no you have to write here and it takes two weeks. They told me to go inside the branch, I couldn't there isn't one close where I work and they are closed by the time I get home. I figured they would at least waive it once that is what I was asking for. When it was Wachovia, it wasn't like that. They wouldn't post until the next day if anything was deposited after 3PM, the rep told me 9PM w/ Wells Fargo (I have to test out that theory myself to see if putting money in the ATM up until 9PM will post the same day). I just wanted it one time and it's messed up they can't/won't do that. I tried corporate again and nope. Point blank, all these banks are freakin rip offs. I see if it was a day or two later, it was only a 4-5 hours window tops before money was in there.
OMG that really sucks. Mailmen/carriers actually do that to people's mail? I know they are slow (snail mail), but sheesh. That's horrible. I hope you finally do get your check, you are dependent on that for school.
Wow, that bites. You should go to their website and put in a complaint. They should have apologized to you and told you to come up and replace the ice cream sundaes as a courtesy the next time you visit. KFC totally screwed up my order (I paid for large popcorn and large mac and cheese and got small and my snackers were missing cheese and the bread was so hard it stuck to the chicken), I took one of those surveys on the receipts, put my opinions on the site. I got a call within an hour from the manager offering to replace my ENTIRE order and gave me a $5 gift certificate. I wasn't expecting all of that, I was just expecting them to credit my order or replace the snackers.
Wow, hope it pans out well. You should have just done the free two weeks...wow. Seems like once you give up that information, people can do what they want with it. They are so quick to take it out but not quick to put it back. You can't stop the payment through your bank? One time I had an issue like that and I called the bank and because it was a debit (because I provided my debit card information), they were able to stop the payment by blocking the merchant ID number for a period of 6 mths. That will at least buy you some time...Good Luck!
I'm sorry to hear that. I work for Sears and I can understand why. I have never ordered online, however, after hearing this I won't. That is why the company is folding, they are loosing focus of the customer and the people they hire in these positions that mess things up.
I have a Safelink phone and I haven't had that experience with them and I had a phone for over a year. When it's free, there is always some nonsense. Try another company like Assurance. And there is another one too, I can't think of the name.
OMG that makes me think like 5 times about getting any furniture from them! And they are not cheap at all, however, they have some nice stuff. This isn't the first time I heard about this, I heard something about them on my local news station a few years back. Hope everything works out for you and good luck!
I'm not here to bash because that's not my style, however, what in the world made you sign up with that university? They seem like a scam to me, always have, if you are going online to a university, pick a reputable one, like a university in your hometown or state that offers online courses. I agree with you, if they are making statements like that, that isn't right especially on a school site, that shouldn't have even happened and should have monitors reviewing comments because you (and anyone else in school) is not there for that, you are there for an education and who wants to see such negativity. Too much of that going on that's why everything is a$$ backwards lol. If I were you, finish out your semester and find another university (either go find one to sit in or find a decent online school) and get away from them. Something about them always rubbed me wrong.
Thanks for the info. Won't use them. I expected something better from them.
Wow that is crazy. Sheesh.
Chase is a rip off anyway like a lot of these banks.
@bloojean, sorry for your experience, you should have not been treated that way at all. Very unacceptable. However, they are trained to present for like 2 hours (min.) and ask for the order. It is messed up that we have lost a potential customer.
@Searsub you are correct . A lot of the reps first of all do not know what they are selling. Every project is a case by case basis. There are things they don't notate or put in writing like on the contract or for notes. When you are a sub for Sears, you agree to their labor rates that is in the contractor packet. Sears is good as an additional source of income if you are a contractor. Before, in the good old days, installers could live off of Sears money only and didn't need anyone else. And trust me, those project managers and administrators sitting in those offices aren't making much either, we get paid crap too and we have to do what we are told. Sales men do lie, some worse than others, but a lot of them don't know what they are selling.
