OMG THIS COMPANY SUCKS! I'm reading these complaints I have went through the same thing some of you have. I will NEVER ANSWER MY DOOR FOR ANYONE unless I know they are on the way to my house, I'm that tramatized. PLEASE DON'T BUY A SYSTEM FROM THEM! The sales man came to my home and stated a free alarm system, with installation only thing I would have to do is post their sign in my yard. After about 5 mins, I let him in. We were talking and discussing paperwork and options. When we got to the end when everything was done all of a sudden we had to pay $100 for installation and $40 put front (after I was told it would only be $1 a day and I didn't have to put ANYTHING UP FRONT). Then I said I don't have that kind of money, the rep said they had a special account for people where he would tap MAC and give me money and I would pay him back within a month. I said fine. Once the tech got there to install the unit, I was told that I have to pay $35 to the city to have it registered (which should have been apart of his presentation). I'm like why didn't you say that before? He said if I didn't, if I pressed for police, fire, medical, I could be hit with a fine from the city for $150-$300!. After a day and a half, I called them said I was cancelling. They said I couldn't I said yes I can, I mailed my notice of cancellation. I know about those because my company uses them and as long as it's postmarked within the 3 days, that was acceptable. He didn't even fill it out so to me it wasn't valid! They received it and still didn't cancel it. Their supervisors and customer service reps are RUDE! I can have a better conversation with the wall! It was like talking to a brick wall, literally. I started getting irate with them and it was like literally talking to a dummy, no response, just silence. I e-mailed HANK one of their supervisors and he was no good. They would play around the phone and when I spoke to HANK, he was actually kind of laughin. CORY was another one that was very rude, he was the WORST! I filed with the BBB and their (AMP) response was I didn't cancel in time, so I left it alone because I was so tired of fighting them. They still deposited my check, and made my account go in the negative $140 even after I stopped payment. They processed it different when they deposited the check. They never gave me back my money. I begged them to take the system out, they wouldn't, they said it was mine for 5 years I was paying. I said ok, just cancel my account and the equipment can stay here because I'm moving anyway, their answer was, ok we will move it free, what's the new address? I'm like NNNNOOOO. I had to pretend to move and gave them an address of an abandoned house just so I won't be stuck with it. I had to change my bank account number. They were SO DUMB because they should have realized I wanted to cancel. After they came and removed the equipment because they thought I was moving, they tech knocked on my door 5 minutes later and I did NOT answer. LOL. I was ESTATIC! I don't care if it messed up my credit, my peace of mind is priceless! This company needs not to be around ANYMORE. This is the worse experience I EVER had buying something, NEVER AGAIN! It's not even worth them trying to improve, they are done, stick a fork in them. I was ripped off big time and why lock someone into a 5 year contract? That's worst then being in a cell phone contract. If someone doesn't want/like your service, let them CANCEL. They might change their mind and come back to you later...

LOL@ cabinet man! I work for Sears Home Improvements too and everything is 100% true, they just know how to cover their butts that's it. All the sales managers seem lazy and no one wants to do anything! It's very disorganized and nothing is thought through by these higher-ups. No raises for the past 3 years and the benefits suck! They do not value employees at all and it's very stressful. They want you do a lot for nothing and want blood from a stone. It use to be a great company but it's not anymore. It's a real chore to go in. They have some decent people (like myself) but, they drive them away. They lie and try to sweettalk you and promise you this and that but it's not true at all. Very disappointed, I used to be proud to work for Sears, but not anymore. It's more for less. The contractors are hit and miss. We have some good contractors at our location. Whoever makes these decisions in upper managment (like Chicago) are idiots, I can run it better off of common sense with no college degree. Their service techs suck too. I have gotten so many customer phone calls about them and the stories are BAD. I do go out of my way to help them because that could be me. They don't invest in their offices/stores, our equipment is CRAP and they are so cheap, they pay their employees cheaply too, for our company to be highest price, we should be paid high especially for the amount of work we are doing. I'm so burnt out, I want to quit, but I can't. I have to pay bills. I do appreciate Sears for the start, but I won't stay until the finish. The sales reps goes through 3 weeks of training and sent out. Some of them might have prior contracting experience, but a lot of them don't. A lot of the reps don't know what they are selling, you should hear some of the installers complain about that too. It's not what it used to be, I think this company will go under, I'm surprised I haven't been laid off. I hate that they outsourced (a lot of complaints about that too) when I call HR and I can't even understand the person I'm talking to which sucks as well. They constantly through things (like new products are way) they dump them on us and expect us to do it (example: Monday: we are selling roofs and Tuesday: goes live) it's like trial and error. At time I feel like I'm stuck there. They screw people over big time and it's not right.

PS) I don't care if someone from Sears found out I said this, because it's all TRUE and you know it! Save it for someone else who will believe your lies. I hate to say this, even with this bad economy, you can FIRE ME for all I care, I would take the umemployment and someone can glady have my job because they wouldn't want it, they will quit after 3 months!
@Erin, I was curious because I'm an employee from Sears and I had a comment on it if he did that's why I asked. @The love fist it's a lot of small print and BS in it. Bottom line, after 30 days services (not HVAC installations) they will charge you $100 to come (some managers waive the fee) and for the MPA check ups, you have to call and the techs take forever and a day as well.
Wachovia is crap! I'm in the process of going with another bank, maybe Citizens or a credit union. Customer service sucks and the CSR's can't give out corporate number or they will be fired. It was better when it was First Union. Now they are with Wells Fargo? HUH!

I heard a lot of shady things about them. They should take it down, they put it up...how did it get there anyway...the tooth fairy? That's baloney.
OMG LMAO! Some of these comments are funny, some of them are food for thought. There is no point of arguing. People believe whomever they chose. This situation doesn't just happen w/ Mormons it happens with a lot of different religons.
@Tonya, maybe you should have looked at other alternatives such as women abuse shelters or a women against violence, something of that nature to get help. If they are really harrassing you and you don't want to be bothered, you should let them know or if it's really that bad, maybe you should get a restraining order. Regardless if she used them (not saying you did) to get out of your situation or not, they can't force themselves or their religion on you. However, you should have known what you were getting yourself into before and asked questions or done research hun. Not the first time I heard that about Mormons though. And it's not the religion that's " bad" or whatever (someone said about muslims attacking us), it's the people and the stupid choices they make and as the saying goes one bad apple spoils the bunch.
I believe it. At least my manager lets someone know hes leaving so we can know what the heck we're doing.
@Cherie, yes the reason he tried to pressure you into purchasing a new door was because that's what they are told in training. It's almost like brainwashing, sort of, Sears trains you into their mentality, their way of thinking and doing so you can sale. The reps are told to ask for an order 10 times @ a customer's home while giving the demo. It's messed up because I'm caught in the middle. I always treat the customer's that call with respect and try not to bounce them around. It's not the same Sears your/my parents/grandparents used, it's a NEW ball game. They get people in there to train and then feed them to the wolves and it seems like no one knows what they are doing.
The rule of training also, is that every home you visit, has doors, windows, roofs, floors, carpet, bathroom etc. as well, so there you go.
@Sears employee...I'm with you 100%. @Dawniette, lol you must be a manager from Sears because you got mighty offended. LOL.
OH and lack of communication is a TOP ISSUE @ our company even the customer's agree and so do I! They are quick to point out what's wrong but not quick to recognize the good
I want to see the pictures! If you have a problem, call BK corporate offices. First of all, when you seen the girl (whose brother you didn't get along with), first RED flag...LEAVE ASAP lol, then you told her to shut up...big NO NO man you don't know what they did to that food before it got to you. That sucks though, sometimes calling the "manager" isn't any good either because they don't give a damn...that's why it's better to make your own food at home. Agree with Archerop...when she said that line, you should have pulled off
That's beyond harassment, that's down right terrible! I thought they can't call until after 9AM for debt collections...? Take pics and save all their caller ID calls...good luck!
What kind of website is this?
As a poetry writer, I suggest writing them down...you remember good old fashion composition books right? I thought about that too (I haven't or will not use LuLu) but say if the site shuts down or their server gets screwed up where it looses my work? Every poem that I post online is written down on paper.
For future reference, write down your poems in a book before you post online. I write poetry and I write it out on paper, then type it. Because when something like this happens, you can't get them back. Or save them on a word document or something too.
How did you find out the plagiarism thing? Just curious because I write poems and I thought about that too...like if someone tries to pass of my work as their own..how would I know? How did you find out? Any tips? thanks
I'm seeing these complaints about poems disappearing...has anyone thought...especially with that the complaints are coming from writers...have you written any of this down on PAPER?
ROTFLMAO is all I can say right now. I'm reading these comments and some people make good points...but how did a DG complaint turn into a country downfall and transgender people, penises, tits etc? WTH LMAO...
Anyways, to the original complaint, I wanted to see the videos but they are private :( to see what the big fuss was. Bottom line, two wrongs don't make a right. If she was rude, that was wrong, but for you to go into a store 5 mins before closing was wrong too. Like HELLO you had like a month before FD to buy a card anywhere and you choose to wait until the day before 5 mins before the store close...you were un-prepared so that's on you. Those people have been up on their feet all day, making barely nothing, trying to make ends meet and you piss all over them. They are trying to count out so they can leave too, they do have lives that don't revolve around DG. I work in customer service and understand that needs of the customer has to be met, but with in reason. You are lucky, you are not getting sued for posting videos online without their permission (remember the lady texting in the mall and fell into the water fountain). For you to bring up judgement and Christianity and then turn around and say ### or ### (so what it was blocked out, the point got across) is wrong too! And why do you assume that the reason they are working there because they have to and miserable? I would be miserable too dealing with people like you all day too lol. They have a job at least, like they REALLY chose to be there, you don't know where they come from and don't know their circumstances...so therefore sir, you passed judgement on someone. If they weren't working, you would say something about that as well. So no matter what...YOU WERE BOTH WRONG! PERIOD! What they should have done was locked the door or told you they were closed and not let you in. DG didn't take your complaint seriously either, someone made a comment about how they laughed at you, that's what they did and told him next time that happens xyz or something to that effect because your complaint isn't reasonable. She maybe was rude (can't see the video), but you have no right to come back like that either...
Yes that's an oldie, but goodie. Next time that happens, start up in Safe Mode and do a system restore and then run your own program (you should be able to without the pop ups unless it's a root kit). Get Norton Anti virus, that works best or try Malware program that's decent as well.
