you would be out for some revenge with 13 cent raises
It's all luck... TJ Maxx gets some crappy merchandise and some amazing stuff. Same as Ross. Buyer Beware.

As my unnamed store manager started morning meetings "our customers are pigs but..." Things get put in the wrong place. One time someone put a handmade $5 sign meant for mismated socks on the cashmere sweater table. Did I honor that? Do I have brain damage? The nice cashier is nice cuz you are psyching out, so they smile and nod so you don't snap.
I hope they deport you. I hate Unprofessional thieves.

Maybe you are not the Queen of England. Maybe people stand in every direction like cattle. Maybe sometimes you don't need to be right. There is customer service and there is the kissing ### of some obnoxious (old, white )lady...

I hate you ticket switchers that start cursing, yelling, denying everything... It's not my policy it's the store's . If I take your crap back then I get reprimanded for it. I don't start off hating you... but you make me. There are some pleasant crooks that just comeback a different day or to a different store... You need to fight like somebeast. You know you did something wrong that's why you get emotional about it. I call as many of you in to security as I can so they have a clear picture of you. Or toss your forgotten keys/ids in the trash...
I would have scanned it for you, but left the machine in the wrong menu, the red light would blink... Then I would say "Sorry Maam, it's not marked down" You would be satisfied and I would be satisfied.

First let's assume, you DID NOT put the sticker on the shoe. Are you that shallow and petty to fight for a shoe... Are you that poor? Do you need this shoe to live? Chill out.
And if (most likely) YOU DID put that sticker there, then humiliation well deserved.

next time come in at reasonable time not 10 minutes before the store closes... I know you people that come in 5 min before closing stay 30 min past closing and buy $5 worth at the end...

1. Markdown look up is blocked in our store (High Shrink Target)
2. Items are priced based on how long they been in the store, they can't be marked down at someone's house.
3. I just scan the item in any menu and say "No, sorry it's not marked down (or the color, or the month, the style, it returned, system is down etc.)" in the most polite and apologetic way.
4. When people hear the truth they get upset, when you kiss their ###... they love you still. Or Bad Cop/Good Cop games with manager.

We return food in maryland and just stick it back on the shelf with other rat/customer opened food...
numbers get lost, retail is hectic.
Demand a manager, we don't call back 99% o the time.

You make me sick : "From my understanding and being a bargain shopper for quite some time, you sell the product for the price marked, not what you think it should be. You as the supervisor should check prior to, that your section is ready for the customers. Me being the customer I expect to pay the price I see" You either pay the price or not. The store is too understaffed with too much merchandise to make sure everything is correct. The double check at the cash register is necessary.

it's not about asking where the shoe department is, that's easy. It's more of "can you find me these 5 shoes in these colors and sizes and tell me how I look in them", while you have a line 20 people... people think they're the queen of england in macy's...
well ###ers return used/thriftstore items, re-attach the tickets. If it's refused they ask for the manager, the manager does not want to deal with a screaming lunatic for just a $30 item. They take it back. Manager does not want to take the $30 loss of throwing it out. puts it out on the floor thinking some sucker will buy it. The End.

It might have been rude. But it's a fact in retail stores that people take sodas open them and drink em and don't pay for them.
the 10 % is not guaranteed. It's more of a symbolic shut up and stop begging for discounts gesture from TJ Maxx. TJ maxx can't even pay its employees enough let alone train em...

Designers rip each other off all the time... That's not tj maxx's fault. OR Sometimes merchandise appears from fraudulent returns. Those things that are taken back because the manager is too nice/stupid/afraid of customers calling corporate on him/her/it. I known people to sew tags onto thriftstore clothes and try to pass them off as a real thing...

There ain't any cashiers cuz tjmaxx is understaffing to save money. Corporate gives pay roll and they allocate hours accordingly. They have people but they feel its not in their best interest to use them (cuz they have to pay them...)

The world is full of idiots signing up for store credit cards... And there is enormous pressure on employees to get people to sign up. If you don't get enough credit cards they can cut your hours or punish you in other ways... We're told to make it sound like not a credit card and only say it is when directly asked. Tj maxx made a deal with the bank to take your money... Why would you give away your personal information for a lousy 10% which barely covers tax?
