We learn from the best: our American friends :-)
You arrived at the airport 35 minutes before your flight? And they wouldn't let you board? The horror!
That is because they give you a cutoff time and you are expected to stick to that cutoff time. If you don't, you don't get on the plane. It's all very simple to understand and that's why I don't get how there can be so many complaints like this one. Get to the airport on time! Even an idiot can figure that one out!

I'm from the "Ice Age" where people took responsibility for their own actions and weren't constantly blaming someone else. It's funny how, many years ago, someone would have tripped over a crack in the sidewalk, got up, brushed themselves off and said, "Gee, I must watch my step next time!" In this day and time, people would trip over a hair on the street and lay there screaming, "Oh, my back, my head! Oh, I'm suing!"
It's actually quite disgusting that no one can take responsiblity for their own beings anymore and must blame others for their own stupid mistakes.

Thank you, Tddownhill :-) Ostriches and I aren't hating each other...we're conducting a lively session on nationality. In all seriousness, you're right. TD is conducting bad business with what they're doing but I wish people wouldn't automatically assume it reflects on us Canadians. We don't all run the bank.

Do you mean "sandwich"? I hope so but I am not entirely sure what a "sammich" is.

And the "inappropriate behaviour" pertains to whom? Oh yeah, you're drunken friend who appears a little too loose for her own good. Suck it up, sunshine.

Don't blame the staff for price checks--that's those whiny people that complain, "That said $9.98 on the display but rang up at $9.99". It's not the staff's fault they have to do price checks.

GG,
I don't think all Americans are that way. Generally, I like Americans quite a lot. I just don't like when one happens to blame all Canadians for the problems one Canadian business is experiencing.
No apologies necessary--it's people like you and Tddownhill who make me respect Americans even more.
Have a good one!
Lay off the caps lock. It's really annoying. Son is not capitalized. Neither is hospital, ambulance, ectopic or pregnancy. Operations Directors should have a better handle on their grammar, don't you think?
I am actually very sorry about the loss of your baby, however.

It's so nice to see that someone is trying to be friendly to the workers at Wal-Mart :-)
However, she probably doesn't see a lot of friendliness or niceness from customers where she works and she's probably not used to seeing them smiling at her. You were probably freaking her out. I would imagine she would get a lot more snarls than smiles, but it's nice to see you were trying to make her job easier :-)
But if someone actually stole your credit card and used it, you would be screaming the house down about the injustice of that. It's done for protection and although it does suck, there is a very reasonable explanation for it.

Who booked the tickets? You? If you booked the tickets for the wrong day (and the wrong month!) you really can't blame the airline, can you?

His actions were uncalled for but maybe next time you shouldn't be on your damn phone while someone is trying to check your boarding pass. Speaking of rude...
"Please note the minimum check-in time may be greater than 30 minutes at some airports."
I notice that conveniently you chose to ignore this part of the statement. Is that because it doesn't support your complaint?
Just show up earlier next time! Is it really that difficult to understand?
Me thinks me smell a spoiled princess...

Personally, I think "Pissed" should be banned from flying all airways. Anyone with an attitude like that toward children (and others in general) should not be allowed out in public.

I'm a little confused, Steve Ewing. You dropped your son off with 30 minutes to go before the plane's departure? And when he called you there was still 11 minutes to go before the plane took off? That's eleven minutes to get through check-in, security and get seated on the plane. There's no way that plane would have left on time if they had checked your son in. Providing I have the details right.
Hey there, if you email Huggies through their website (Kimberly-Clark) and tell them what happened they will send you some free coupons, one of which is a free bag of diapers up to $14.00. Hope that helps a little!

That policy is stupid and the manager did seem rude but I don't think that's any reason for your husband to tell her to shut her f---ing mouth and call her names. It's childish. Instead of losing his cool like that, you guys should have just called corporate and complained on her. It would have been handled properly then and hopefully it would have been the last time she acted that way toward anyone.
You got to your destination and back, didn't you? Quit whining. The whole world doesn't owe you.
I have had to live reality as the person cleaning up those nasty bathrooms. I'm not saying I've never had to pee while shopping--I just don't make a big deal of it and whine when there aren't any public washrooms available. I "suck it up" and move on to the next store.
And the reason I'm so nasty in my comments is because most of the reasons those complaints are made is because the people involved were idiots. Complete and utter ###s. If I agree with a complaint, I usually don't comment at all. There are a lot of complaints I haven't commented on as opposed to those I have, proving I don't disagree with everyone--just the ###s.
You're right--they should have had to clean it themselves. But I've seen far more people NOT clean up after themselves than I have the ones who DO clean up after themselves. It's sad when our society has stooped so low that they are barely able to take care of themselves in public, but it is also difficult to see that some people just can't get over the fact that some stores don't have public washrooms. If they don't have them, they probably never will and there's nothing anyone can do about it. You (unfortunately) aren't going to change that all on your own.
