should say "beware of any correspondence that asks you to deposit money for really no reason at all"
you should contact pepsi co.
not posting it on here.

good thing that wells fargo isnt wachovia. therefore, any contracts you had with wachovia are null and void.
but, to keep customers content, they will still offer the same services. but, since there isnt a contract, they arent bound by anything that says they have to.

i never said comcast isnt bad. you should try time warner then we will see what you think of comcast. my answer in no way was wrong. i went off of the info you provided. when you say comcast handled the situation wrong, i went strictly off of what you said. your last reply ADDED stuff that should have been in there to begin with.

"It worked fine at first, but about 3 months ago, the wireless router stopped working. When I called Comcast, they said the router was mine and they do not support routers. "

my reply to this still stands. but, with the information added---"they at first agreed to come look at it because they thought it was the modem, then when they saw that the modem was online, they canceled the appt. WITHOUT TELLING ME so I wasted the whole day sitting there waiting for them. THEN over the phone they gave me a phone number for tech support for the router that was no good. "

that missed information takes away the focus from your main gripe which was comcast not supporting a device that they simply sold you for the ease of a one stop shop on your portion and to make additional money on their side.

so, now that we have at least a portion of the whole story, i apologize if i sounded rough. but, that missed information is crucial. its also another reason why alot of complaints on this site arent worth the letters that are typed.
again, ill back the fact that they shouldnt support the router. if it stopped working altogether within the first week of having it (not working and verified by SMC tech support) then comcast should have replaced it in that form of "support". but, since it was months later, your past the "statute of limitations". same thing could happen with the router from walmart. if it stops working within the first week, which is a possibility(probably wont happen), walmart would probably replace it for being faulty. that is kinda iffy if its close to a full week. but, within days, they wouldnt have an issue replacing. if it was that soon that it stopped working altogether, the i believe comcast should have at least taken into consideration that its a faulty product.
their portion of the service works simple as that and the no support for the router, is a done issue. but, they should have at least gone over the reason why they cancelled the service call.

p.s. not that it matters to me, but before you grammar nazi someone for the use of your/you're. make sure that all of your posts are absolutely correct in punctuation, spelling, etc. Im gonna let you go on this one, but someone else may not go so lightly. im know the difference quite well. but, i could care less about my spelling and punctuation when getting my point across. with the way i typed everything out, you got the point.

i understand the need to shorten the story. however, missing big portions of it change the outcome. as an example, if i were to take two sentances one missing a portion of the full story, the outcome is different.

"a man ran in front of a moving bus"
the guy obviously not paying attention or he had a death wish.

same sentance with the additional info...
"the man ran in front of a moving bus...to save a child from being run over"

all info makes the story complete. alot of the complaints on this site miss the additional information. most times
its because that additional information doesnt support their argument and would be detrimental to their case and would make it hard getting the support of the masses.

"I agree with some of what you are saying, but don't most devices come with a one-year warranty"
they do...through the manufacturer. not the company that sold it. normally, if you buy something from walmart, as example. if it stops working within the first couple days, you can usually have them replace it without issue. but, when it goes past a length of time, you cant expect a place to replace something if it stops working.

using the flooring as an example of the router isnt the best example. so, ive come up with one that is better.
if you buy a computer and the extra fee for best buy to come out to set it up (without warranties to make it easy), they come out and set it up. up to a month goes by and the computer is working up until out of the blue, it stops working. who are you going to call? if you say best buy, you have made the wrong choice. they are going to tell you to contact tech support. their installation and product they sold you was working for a good time after it was setup

your router is the same situation. you purchased the router, they set it up and it worked up until a point. their product (the internet) is still working as it should.

you may not agree with what ive said. thats fine, but if you want to point the finger in the wrong direction and not accept reality, thats up to you. i tried to tell you the "actual" and help you realize where the problem lies. but it was met with opposition. if you accepted that you were completely wrong, it doesnt back your story and you will fight it tooth and nail because its human instinct for self preservation. admitting that a complaint is wrong on here is allowing yourself to be susceptible to criticism because of bogus complaints.

i completely understand where you are trying to come from and how "you think " it "should" be.
"you think" that comcast "should" support the router because they sold it to you and set it up. it just doesnt work that way. they didnt produce the item. they sold you the item and simply set it up for you. that is where their responsibility ends. they determined their product worked.
company x's product works fine until company y's product is in place. after product y is removed, product x works. company x doesnt have anything wrong. company y has a faulty product that needs tech support. therefore, contact company y.

p.s.
"This post has been checked for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors"
"...misspelled word, sorry I just couldn't resist pointing out the irony."---this should have read "...misspelled word. Sorry, I just couldn't resist pointing out the irony."

i tried to point you in the right direction as to why comcast wouldnt be responsible. you basically said no. thats all im gonna say. i surf this site out of boredom and go to the posts that i have knowledge in. in this case, im an IT person. this is something i know. its not that im "annoyed" with whining. but, if someone doesnt know they are wrong in their finger pointing, they will continue to point the same finger to the same people wanting to blame them for everything.
you have merit in the fact that they should have left you some information. fine. but, fact still stands. they SHOULDNT have to stand behind a product that isnt theirs and your flooring example is horrible mainly on the type of product that it is and the fact that lowes warranties their craftmanship. oranges and apples. need to compare apples with apples (electronics with electronics)
you expected comcast to help just as you would expect any other company to help you with something. but just because you expect it doesnt mean its going to happen. i have no backing to comcast, havent worked for them, dont give a rats ### about them. that has no bearing on any of my comments. you are basing your argument on opinion. im basing mine on fact. opinions arent wrong or right. facts are.

p.s. there is more than one error in your grammar. i didnt have to search hard since that was within the first two sentances.

no, most companies will never contact you via phone unless you contacted them first. their updates would be done through automatic updates over the internet

im going to have to side with the guy that does the glasswork. number 1, bankruptcy has nothing to do with completing a job.
number 2. a person scamming people would not come onto a public forum to put out their side of the story. only people that would do that are those that rely on the work they do and live off of having a good name for themselves.
people that change their requests multiple times should be beaten. those types of tools make it harder to do a job than it needs to be. before asking for a job to be done, the final draft of their request should be done.
as for the money lost; hey, the equipment came in and all of a sudden, now you dont want it. seems to me, jin backed out on a contract after parts were already recieved. this garbage cant be cheap and it causes the person to lose money on having to order this stuff.

i base everything off of the information at hand. i dont live in texas nor have i ever. i also do not know either person on either side. perhaps jin should have just let the work be completed like originally intended

you can go ahead and check my ip address. you will see that im no where near this eric or jin person. feel free. then come back. ill be awaiting your apology for false accusation
im sure he is quoting ToS
in these times, no one gives a ### about the color of your skin. gtfo and stop using the race cardd as an excuse for everything.
p.s. just because 3 different people post within minutes of each other doesnt mean they are the same person. when a topic is posted on, it becomes the top of the most recently discussed topics. walmart is a magnet for getting replies...so, again...go ### yourself ignorant ###

no wonder why you got scammed by someone. you're a ###. i find it very amusing that you continually think that anyone and everyone that doesnt agree with your side of the story is in someway related to anyone involved in your complaint. your barking up the wrong tree here pal.
i knew there was a reason why i didnt like asians. they dont listen. ILC, myself, and anyone else that has put in any .02 worth are not of any relation to anything to do with this stupid complaint.

please, keep it coming. i find this amusing. hell, ill admit, my name is eric if it makes you feel better. but, in reality, my name isnt eric.

oh, and sarah...to be a contractor, you dont need an office. my computer work i do that i do on my own time, i dont have an office. dont need an office. not every contractor does. there are many construction contractors that dont. a guy i worked for when i lived in florida, he didnt have an office anywhere. contractors dont need them. they get materials delived to their home or job site. only thing they need is to do paperwork. they can do that at home.
