Scam. Never let anyone in to your door. Unless they're doing it through their school.
Hi biltonj! What package were your recommended from the other place? I would love to get a similar care package frommy local spa!

Unfortunately, I too have had over 6 treatments on my face. My hair is dark black and thick and I have light skin. However, I'm going to keep doing the treatments because you have to do it over and over again and each treatment must be b/w 6 and 8 weeks from the last. In the end, it will be worth it!
FYI, I did the same treatment on my armpits and after 6 treatments, not one hair. So I'm guessing it depends on diet, time-frame, and tenacity!
I agree, they're refund practice sucks. They are not, however, overpriced, I will say that.
There is no way to guarantee the hair will be gone. In fact, they cannot say that, so your issue is with the particular technician who told you the hair would be gone. I have done over 6 treatments on my face and the hair remains. I pan on at least 12 treatments before the hair even becomes fine, let alone removed. Please take the time to inform yourself before you sign up for anything! And laser treatments are still considered a mostly experimental procedure (any type of laser, except for eyes) which is why insurance will not cover it.
Definitely write to the BBB. They cannot change your contract. That's illegal!
I agree, it seems that you were miss-informed by your technicians. That's VERY wrong.
Well, has anyone compared their services to other hair removal centers?
Does it matter? I'm glad you passed your geography classes in the 5th grade, but back to the matter at hand...This guy is an adult acting like a child. Do you have anything to say about that? Or are you the upset traveler?
Besides, that's an easy mistake for anyone to make.
Call the number on the bill. It's possible some scammer provided them with your info
You should always inform someone when you are paying with a debit card, as bank's don't operate on "real" time. It usually takes 30 business days to reflect a credit on a debit account, depending on your bank.
There are several things wrong with your statement:
First, you should book a car that is going to meet your needs. A 'car' will usually never fit a bicycle. You will always need a van or an SUV.
Second, just because the place opens at 8 AM do not expect to deal with the same person. Usually for returns, most employees will accomodate and take you before other rentals if you ask.
Third, anyone paying in cash, debit, or pre-pay cards usually is high-liability, not just meaning you have a high-probability of stealing the car. It also means that if damage is discoved, or you smoked in the car and it needs detailing, or you received a ticket, you probably aren't going to pay. In fact, the place is allowed to keep your deposit for 30 days or so in order to deter these things. 99.9% of places won't do that to you though. But just a warning, they are allowed to do so and send you a check in the mail when the time period of liability is up.
Fourth, they cannot blame you for bad brakes, as there is NO REASON for them to squel besides wear and tear. Unless you were doing something stupid in the car and you actually damaged it, which would make sense if you didn't call them to inform of your bad brakes.
Fifth, most places do not have gas pumps on premises, so yes, it's very inconvenient when you bring the car back with no gas, especially because it's not in rentable condition.
Finally, for the discrepancy, did you check your final bill? You might have brought the car back with less gas or returned late, etc.

OMG...He's from Arizona! Explains everything...Haha!
You know what happens in Arizona, people move near the border and then they're like...oh my gawd, we need border patrol let's build a giant fence!
Anyway, us San Diegans try not to hate anybody. Except for people from Arizona. Zonies! (Zonies, you know, zoned out, like zombies)
Anyway, I can't stand it when people make these posts...And to this day! God forbid we promote tolerence for those who don't have the best relationship with (G)god(s).
I'd be more likely to boycott Coke or Pepsi or whatever if you made a post abot how the ingredients rot your teeth. (Says the girl with teh nice tall glass of pepsi, sip!) Ahhhhhhhhhh!
contact the place where you got the car! let them know!
What I suggest is everyone take the time out of their day to transfer their WaMu accounts to Chase to prevent future hassle. I had accounts at both banks and while my Wamu is seemingly in limbo (though I canstill access it) I'm told Wamu doesn't switch over to Chase until the end of the year. (Full completion of transfer)
But all hassles can be waived if you just do that.
Most discount places offer used or refurbished items. There is probably a clause in their Terms & Conditions and probably nothing you can do.
This was a sales tactic to get you to purchase the CDW, he was waiving your deposit. I'm assuming you were paying with a debit card, which is why it would be held for several weeks and not released immediately. Banks have a different process than credit cards.
Anyway, he was doing you a favor, because there wasn't $350 in your account that you couldn't touch for a month. In my opinion, worth the extra $100. But if you don't see it that way, then look at it this way, when you add CDW you are not responsible for any damages that may happen to the car. Most people don't realize that when you rent a car you are responsible for putting gas, windshield washer fluid and all other fluids to replace what you used, besides worrying about body damage. CDW covers all that in most cases.
Unfortunately if you have only made the minimum payment and sometimes a little less every month, it will be difficult to refinance directly with the company. I would recommend contacting a third party group and have them help you refinance. Good luck!
Hopefully they record their phone calls!
I would never trust a company that has an international number! That's so horrible, I wish you luck!
Horrible! Please provide more details.
Chargeback! 'Non receipt of goods/services'
Let them know you will chargeback for teh amount as 'non receipt of goods/services'. Then tell them it is their responsibility to check with the tracking system they used for the product to see if it arrived, or require them to give you the number so you can check with USPS or others to see if it was delivered to your house.
