In order for them to charge you have to have agreed via verbal command on a recorded phone call. They have to check their records. Keep bugging them about it and hopefully they will eventually check the recorded calls.
Why didn't you ask for a refund while you were at the park? Anyway, next time just ask for a refund as you are leaving because they can check your entrance time, etc. and issue new tickes then and there.
I think Obama is kind of busy. LOL
Also, I just wanted to note if you are using a bank card refunds can take up to 30 days. I would call back and ask for the 'Payment ID' of the refund. It's just a silly number on their end but it proves they processed the payment.
Obviously, someone has your CC number. Companies cannot purchase CC number lists unless they want to got directly to jail.
Probably a busy day for them, try back on Monday!
Glad you looked into this Kathy! Thanks :)
Yeah! Who took the money?
I recommend going to another store and telling them the product is defective. That way they can return it to the manufacturer. They can see the soles are not worn then at that time. And when they ask how it's defective, say something along the lines of 'They hurt my feet a lot and only wore them for about 15 minutes at hme on the carpet!'
This should work as I used to work at a high end shoe store. Typically no returns unless the product is defective. Pain while wearing qualifies as defective when the item is priced at a rate I am assuming is going to qualify as 'expensive'.
Where you able to get your deposit back?
Sounds like you opted for both samples.
OMG! People, stop ordering free samples!
Do you have a doctor's note? If not, they have to believe he's using the vehicle properly.
You should fax the receipt to them (number should be on your contract) and request copies of your contract. Also, ask for your final receipt to be sent to you. Obvioulsy, final receipt won't be signed. But it should have your return date/time on it and you can compare to your gas receipt.
I agree. I worked at a company that paid airport fees at 23 percent. Then moved to a location that was not considered airport. Tax & fees total was only like 6 percent.
Debit cards hold increased liability and most rental car companies DO NOT accept them. Also most if not all companies have a no refund policy, so if it really is not in their Terms keep pursuing Hotwire.
Actually, it's not because there is no room, it's because it's a liability issue after 9/11. This is also why you cannot return a car at the airport and have the company come pick it up.
As for the vehicle, it's obvious that the car was soon to be retired, however, I fail to see how a car with that mileage would be unacceptable, as most dealers consider a to be 'high' mileage at 70, 000. (When most warrenties are up.)
It also looks like your rental was during the summer, in which case it's reasonable to expect few cars on the lot. They're probably all rented! Additionally, a Grand Marquis is considered a Premium car, not a full size because it is slightly bigger than a full size and has additional amenities. I have yet to see one without leather seats for example.
Also, dents happen. Accidents happen. Obviously if it was the last car on the lot, there were no other options. Also, the name Payless means that it's the cheapest rate. Everywhere. You are more than welcome to go to any other company. Hertz and Enterprise for example will have the same car but a difference of at least $100 a day in price.
As you had a reservation, the company was required to provide you with a car. And trust me, no one wants to puts you in a crappy car. If it was all that was available there's nothing that can be done about it, though I am sorry, I do want to state that CLEARLY but I hope I do not offend.
Now, you paid $200 for two days in the car, sounds about right, but I bet your reservation was for three days. Most companies have a no refund policy, as they are required to pay commission to the site you booked with. Additionally, when you return early they have an extra car they have to figure out what to do with and when you return late they are short a car. Some companies charge you an extra fee for returning early or late for this additional reason. And the way they view it is if you did not want the car you had that option before you signed the contract.
It seems you must have paid for Renter's Liability Insurance which covers you on 3rd parties, not your rental car. To cover the rental car it is called Collision Damage Waiver. This seems expensive for a bumper, but I can promise you that the next customer would complain about the chip in the car. I'm not sure what a bumper costs to replace, but you need to pay for the product, installation, an administrative fee to those processing the claim, plus lost time and mielage fees for not being able to use the car. When you look at it that way...I dunno, to each their own. But if you have any doubts, you can ask for copies of pictures of the damage and insurance estimate.
Oh, and for Roger, you can't rent a car with a broken or cracked windshield. It's a liability issue.
You are rude! Take it out of his check! Seriously? The guy was even on your side. Hope this teaches him to lie about such things next time.
Aw, I'm sorry...the LGA location was probably franchised. Contact them and quote your original reservation which should have all that information on it. This should take care of things.
They let you borrow their car and they owe you money? I don't get that.
Actually nonnie, a debit card is NOT considered a major credit card. Debit card rentals hold increased liability and many rental agencies will not use them. The agent would have probably gotten fired if she rented to your card or the insurance companies card (as they were not present). I'm sorry abut your ordeal and your expreience, but you can try to contact Enterprise corporate for a solution.
Why are earth would the owner be involved? And why didn't you do a chargeback from the beginning? It's a system error thing...and all the charges would have the same authorization number. Actually I'm surprised your credit card company didn't catch that!
What do you expect when the car got stolen while it was in your possession! OMG
Anyway, ask for your final receipt, explaining the break-down of your charges and then contest what you wish.
And David...do you have flight information, or any proof that the car MUST HAVE BEEN RETURNED BEFORE YOUR DUE DATE/TIME?
Oops...sorry for caps.
