Priceline.com Priceline: Renting a Car in Costa Rica.

I rented a car through Priceline for a trip to Costa Rica. I selected budget, I ended up with some company I’ve never heard of. I paid Priceline non refundable $458.00 with taxes. My $458.00 turned into over $1,100.00 with a $3,000.00 deposit. Beware if you rent a Car in Costa Rica, the Government mandates forced liability insurance, my understanding the Car companies pay $2 per day to the government and use it to scam tourists charging as much as $40 per day, their agents are commissioned to get as much as they can.

Desired outcome: Priceline should refund me the difference.

Priceline.com Hotel

Date of Incident: 12/7/2022 T

Trip#: [protected]

Upon arriving at the hotel that I booked w/ Priceline.com, I wasn't greeted by anybody at the front desk, so I kept walking in & out to trigger the door ringer only to immediately be greeted with disrespect from the Manager when she questioned why I was getting a hotel if I lived only 20 minutes away & made me feel upset when she also questioned why I was in a hurry. I never said I was in a hurry, & I was completely calm the entire transaction while she was yelling at me about 'not paying' but I was explaining that I had put all my card information down in the Priceline site and just wanted to confirm she had my reservation, & I wasn't charged. If it wasn't for the fact that it was cold and there was no way I could sleep in my car, I could not cancel nor get help from your customer service reps in Singapore. The door lock of the room that the horrible manager provided was broken and I was forced to put my things in my car to prevent anyone from walking in and taking my belongings while I slept. I did not sleep well but needed to rest after an 18hr workday. I was too afraid and too uncomfortable to ask for another room because of how I was being treated. I also had a meeting this morning and needed to shower and it wasn't until I started to shower at approximately 7:30am that I noticed the drain was not letting the water down fast enough and had to cut my shower short to prevent overflow and damage. I was out by 8am because I could not stay there anymore and slept in my car for about 30 minutes with the heater on due to the cold weather. In short: I was treated very badly, unfairly and did not deserve this added stress, anxiety and sleep deprivation since I am a traveling salesman and was in town for a few days.

Desired outcome: I would like a refund for this booking or a free booking in the near future from Priceline.

Priceline.com Flight refund

My name is Delbert and I am writing this email concerning a flight cancelation/refund due to the fact that AeroMexico could not accommodate me on the date of flight and flight duration. I began this process October 24 of this year and spoke with Frank.

I think was transferred to Ricky 10/27 who said he was waiting for the refund approval from the airline.

I spoke with Shannon 11/18 who told me "the refund amount of $891.48 was confirmed.

I called back on the 11/28 to check the refund progress and was transferred to Leo who I told that the information AeroMexico was asking for (Passport copy;bank statement no less than 30 days old), and a couple other things that I was extremely concerned about "emailing" to the airline. Leo replied, "I have never heard of this before and it will be taken care of." He then told me he would forward this to his "boss."

I spoke to Leo again on 12/5/22 only to be told my only option was to send by email the information requested.

Today, 12/6 I received a phone call from Ricky informing me that since I was "unwilling to send" the information, I would be considered a "no show."

Priceline has been no help and passed the "buck" to AeroMexico" HELP!

Desired outcome: COMPLETE REFUND OF THE AMOUNT MENTIONED ABOVE.

Priceline.com Flight cancellation request

On Nov 8th 2022, I attempted to book a last min flight for my mother, Doreen Ross, online. To my mistake, I booked the flight to the wrong Georgia destination; the flight I booked was from Seattle to Atlanta, but it should have been from Seattle to Savannah. I called Priceline agent within a few min of booking the flight and explained the situation and request the flight be cancelled. I was told by the Priceline agent that the flight would be cancelled and I proceeded to book the correct flight for my mother to Savannah. My mother made the flight with no problems. However, on November 10th, I saw that I had been charged for the flight to Savannah and the original flight to Atlanta, for the same person, on the same day. I contacted Priceline regarding this dispute and was told that there were no records of me calling to cancel the flight. I requested the voice recording or transcript of the conversation be reviewed because I did in fact call the same day to request the Atlanta flight be canceled. I was told that the case would be escalated and I would receive a call back within 72 hrs.

I did not receive a call, so I called Priceline agents again on November 21st; I went through the same information, was told I did not call to request a cancellation and there was nothing to be done because the request was not made. I asked to review the notes from the 8th, after which it was found that I did call, but nothing was noted regarding a cancellation. I requested the recorded conversation be reviewed because the agent did in fact tell me she had canceled the flight. Again, I was told the issue would be escalated and I would receive a call within 72hrs. Again, I never received a call so I contacted Priceline agents on Dec1 and requested a resolution for my issue. I was sent a supervisor, Avery, and was told again that I did not call and request a cancellation and the only resolution was set because there was no record of me calling to cancel. I informed the supervisor that I did call the same day to cancel because we needed a flight to Savannah and not Atlanta. I asked if the recording of the call had been received, she did not answer my question. I asked if I needed to have my cell phone records pulled for proof that I called, she then went on to inform me that it does show that I called but there is no record of me requesting to cancel. I informed her that the only reason I called was to cancel; I did not need two tickets for the same person leave the same place going to two different destinations on the same day. I asked again if the recording had been reviewed to affirm my calling to cancel and the agent stating that she canceled the flight. The supervisor did not answer my question but went on to say nothing could be done, the ticket was closed and continued to tell me if I wanted to cancel I could have canceled online. I informed her that everything was last minute and I opted to call because I wanted to ensure everything would be done correctly. The supervisor continued to say the resolution was set and nothing could be done and refused to answer my questions regarding reviewing the call and refused to provide me with any information in writing. She ultimately hung up the line on me and the matter was not resolved.

Priceline.com False advertising

I booked an $890 international flight through Priceline to bring my daughter home from university. As always, I filtered the flights for "NO CHANGE FEES" - see the attached screenshot I took. Now my daughter's exam dates have changed and I need to change the date of the flight. NO-ONE will change the ticket.

I've been told it's not a changeable flight.

I'm stuck. They suck.

The booking reference is [protected], booking code: 4PGKQ6.

Desired outcome: Changed flight

Priceline.com car rental

Did my research & decided to use my trusty Priceline to do the car rental. After all the lingo regarding- "okay to make changes and/or cancellations" I felt good. Imagine my disappointment when, after all the info was input for the reso, just as I hit enter, a line popped up saying NO changes or cancellations allowed. No where in all the info was that stated. I was counting on, if necessary, I could adjust the rental dates. The trip is for a celebration of life for my niece that passed away last week. With all the people involved & other variables, there possibly could be a date adjustment.

After all that, I also couldn't find a phone number to talk to a live agent. I did a "chat" & after all was said & done, I was informed that this was their policy & they couldn't change it. Sad, that was never mentioned on their website.

Desired outcome: All I was asking for was some flexibility, only if needed. Not a cancelation, just a change. And it might not be necessary, I just wanted to confirm I had that option.

Priceline.com Hotel booking false advertising

Sunday, November 13, 2022, Priceline Hotel Stay. The stay at hotel X was okay but I felt tricked when this hotel was selected for me. I did the deal - receive one of the three hotels' picks. I felt you would pick the lowest of the 3 but then some comment came up saying you know people think that and that doesn't happen. You are tricking people and I felt I was robbed. For the price paid and nothing against the hotel I stayed at a hotel I would have never have paid that price for. I tried the deal because it was grouped with other hotels I was actually viewing to stay at. I felt I would get one of the ones I had been viewing because a false add came up (now I realize). Also, you added an additional over thousand and some odd dollars in MXN. This made me feel even worst about the non-deal. Everyone is out to get you is how I felt. I felt I was hit by false advertising. People should know not to do these types of deals. Companies - PRICELINE are doing tricks to get your money and put you in the lower rated hotel (let them pick the hotel deal). Don't do it. I want to add, the phone in my room did not work and that kinda scared me after thinking, what if I had an emergency. I did report the phone not working.

Desired outcome: I would like compensation or a credit for a hotel stay due to false advertising

Priceline.com I only need a breakdown of the taxes and fees that I paid for my hotel stay.

I booked a hotel through Priceline and now need a breakdown of the taxes and fees that was in my bill as a requirement to get my hotel expenses reimbursed. I have spoken with Priceline agent, supervisor, and manager multiple times but they are unable to give me a breakdown. I asked who to contact for this but no one is giving me any answer.

I stayed at Congress Plaza Hotel in Chicago IL from November 7-8, 2022. I am asking for nothing besides the breakdown of taxes and fee in the hotel bill or receipt. Congress Plaza Hotel cannot give it to me because I booked and paid through Priceline. I contacted Priceline at least 6 times today and was able to speak with agents, supervisors, and managers. I even emailed customer support but I still do not have the breakdown of taxes and fees. My confirmation number is CONFIRMATION NUMBER: Room 1: [protected].

Priceline.com Unauthorized credit card charges

I spoke to one of your reps Agent # 4612881

Ray spoke poor English I don’t think he understood that the transaction with my credit card was unauthorized or just didn’t seem to care so I had to dispute it with my bank. After all my cards were stolen showed no empathy whatsoever I explain to him the situation and he said that there was nothing he could do as far as giving me a refund or returning my funds back to my account that was charged fraudulently. Very Poor customer service and poor listening skills I had to repeat myself several times stating the reservation was not booked by me and I am responsible for the fraud charges. That is just like stealing money from somebody showed no concern whatsoever on how horrible I felt and did nothing to try and help me and I am also a member of Priceline and I use your services and a customer I was so dissatisfied with the outcome that I am considering never using this Third party booking site in fear of being scammed!

Desired outcome: I just wanted my money returned to my account

Priceline.com Hotel booking

Never revealed they were not hotel reservation person so surprised when I contacted the hotel and they advised me. Also, my points would not be added wit the reservation never divulged. Trying to make a change due to a death almost impossible without the trip number they failed to send me or note on hotel confirmation but needed to talk to a real person. Tried chat…no luck finding reservation and delaying communication then admitted doing multiple services at a time. Could not give me a supervisor. Found CIC on our charge that was processed BEFORE service…odd. Utilized their auto operator to cancel but did not receive validation as promised via email. Back on with CIC, had to go through new reservations twice. Same story. Will transfer. Finally, a person came on who referred me back to Priceline. Then, I explained the round Robin and she problem solved, found the cancellation and sent me validation of refund in 3 to 5 days. If not received, will get an attorney. It’s $500. Date today 11/19/2022. Reservation made 8/28/2022. Hours spent.

Desired outcome: Transparency should be required so all parties are aware they are agreeing to these things. Also, there should be an effective way to escalate an issue,

Priceline.com Horrible, scam like quality travel company and customer service that makes you want to vomit!

Put in my search criteria to reflect pet friendly and then was offered a great fast deal. Turns out the hotel is not pet friendly and Priceline refused to refund or replace hotel. I've used them for 20 years in excess of ******* a year and will be headed now to a travel site that will respect my repeated VIP membership! BUYER BEWARE! Priceline is owned by the same company as Expedia, Orbitz, hotels.com and Travelocity,- so you might want to avoid those as well.

Desired outcome: I would love to see a class - action lawsuit

After a week of no refund I contacted Priceline again and was told that the refund was issued and it was a issue with my bank not refunding the money. I contacted them several times again and was now told that it’s A accounting issue and they had a issue with the refund and they are trying to get it complete. They have a history of stealing people money and I feel they are attempting to do the same to me.

Priceline.com The commission fee be returned to me

I prepaid for a rental car for 7 days. I returned the car after 2 days. I originally reserve a standard size SUV but Avis rental down-graded me because they didnt have the vehicle. I was given a partial refund by Avis, and was told the amount they were paid was different from the amount priceline gave them which was the 3rd party commission fee of $45.50. I am asking for that to be returned to me as well.

Desired outcome: Please refund and I would appreciate a response.

Priceline.com Hotel pigeon forge 2179 parkway, pigeon forge, tn,

Second notice. Our experience at Hotel Pigeon Forge 07/10/2022 was pathetic and not at all at the standard we have come to expect from Priceline providers. My husband asked me to make the hotel reservation. He was not at home when I contacted Priceline so I used my bank card to register on line. We arrived shortly before 4:00 PM and were told that we couldn’t check in before 4:00. We returned after 4:00 PM. My husband waited over 20 minutes for one person to check in. When he provided our confirmation number, his debit card and ID, the clerk was rude and disrespectful when she told him she wouldn’t check us in because the reservation was in my name. Then I made a new reservation at Americana and their service was all that we expect from Priceline. The clerk at Hotel Pigeon Forge was belligerent and again refused to complete the registration. My husband called Priceline to alert the company of a substandard event at a Pigeon Forge facility. He was told that the reservation did not allow cancellation. At that point, he gave the phone to me. I said I was cancelling the reservation because I did not do business with rude unethical businesses. WE did not refuse the service. I had lost my DL and did not have another photo ID. The clerk was belligerent and again refused to complete the registration. We were there at the appointed time and were willing to stay because we were tired after driving rom Clarksville TN and wanted to rest before we went to dinner. Because the clerk was so rude and unprofessional, we did NOT stay at this hotel. Please help me get my money back. This hotel has fraudulently billed my account for a service which the hotel clerk refused to provide. We paid for the room in good faith and I certainly did NOT plan to lose my DL. Please let me know if any other action is needed on my part to do whatever is necessary to recover those funds.

Thank you for your assistance

Priceline.com Car rental

Right car global rental through Priceline.com - as well as Priceline.com - I scheduled a package plane car hotel. Arrived in Orlando at 1130 and the app said car wouldn’t be available until 1. There was no booth and no way to contact them and I ran around for 1.5 hours with my phone dying because nothing said Rccars inside or outside, and no one knew what I was talking about. Then almost two hours later I got on a bus that looked nothing like the logo and not labeled with them or anything (they actually sent me texted me instructions how to get to my rental car 4 days after I arrived and had already complained - nothing on my app or email) then I get to a place in the middle of nowhere where there’s just a guy in the computer saying I have to pay him another 609 dollars and then some. That would be refunded And provide my insurance - because I didn’t have a credit card which I didn’t know. so I did. Then they tried to tell me I had to have it back at 1pm when my flight was 4. I got an email 7 days ago saying I’d be refunded within 7 days and there’s no refund. Instead customer service keeps writing me back saying that I had to purchase some additional insurance policy even though I provided mine and a deposit of 600. I asked fir a receipt of how much I’ve paid them and been refunded twice now and they don’t send me anything - just a bunch of junk about some additional insurance that I was lied to about and didn’t use,

Desired outcome: Refund my entire purchase. I have an entire chain of emails to forward if anyone would like to see. I have car insurance which I provided and was told I’d be refunded they lied.

Priceline.com A charge on an error in booking a room.

On 11/7/2022 I made an error using priceline.com for the first time in booking a room and within minutes of making a critical error I had the person I was booking the room for try to fix it. Priceline.com even knowing that this was an error charged that person for the full price of the room knowing that it was an error. I could have seen a sur charge, but no the full price. I talked the person in to using priceline.com because I had heard such wonderful things about your company. I would like to see some type of credit given back to this person. Yet, they don't believe that you will offer one nor that your company cares enough to give a credit. So, I am writing this to see if your company will be honorable or are you just like the rest of them. Thank you for your time.

Desired outcome: To give a refund to Barbara Willard/FourPoints Hotel in Des Moines Washington.

Priceline.com Wrong flight info provided by priceline/ missed flight

On November 8th I missed my flight due to departure time being displayed wrong on your app. In addition I received an email from Priceline the morning of the flight with the wrong departure time ( the correct departure time was 7 am, ghe email and the app stated 8:30 am). Priceline rebooked us for a flight with a connection instead of a direct flight that we originally booked arriving 2 days later vs original arrival date. This is a terrible mistake on part of Priceline. You are a tech company, selling travel services online is your only business, how could a mistake like this be made? I would like to be compensated for 2 nights of stay at my destination, travel to and from airport, time off taken from work and the tremendous hardship we went through. We are traveling with our two young children and needless to say they were heartbroken today when we had to go home instead of flying to Jamaica to a vacation we were waiting for since February of this year ( that is when the reservation was made). Please reach our to me at [protected] or [protected]@yahoo.com and let me know how I can go about being compensated, thank you.

Desired outcome: Compensation or hotel booking of same value for the missed night, rebooking of return flight at no cost, reimburesement for travel to and from the airport.

Priceline.com Hotel reservation

I book what was supposed to be a resort hotel in Negril, Jamaica through Priceline.com. The place does exist but it is not a proper resort, but rather a collection of airbnb-type places. The main issue is that they had no record of my reservation and no room reserved for me. This meant that I had to spend considerable time on-site during my vacation scrambling to find other accommodation. This was particularly difficult since my phone did not work in the country and I also had no internet access. Priceline has since only repeated that, although I booked through them, they outsource the handling of the claim to Booking.com. Priceline has consistently refused to be of any help whatsoever with the claim, despite the fact that they sold me a fraudulent reservation.

Furthermore the place I reserved was advertised as having a shuttle service, but there was no information on how to use that shuttle service. This meant that I had to go through considerable effort lining up transport upon arrival. This was time consuming and costly, and left me in a dangerous situation when I accidentally hired an unlicensed driver for my return to the airport at the end of the trip.

My planned accommodation was at "Point Village" in Negril Jamaica.

The address Priceline gave me was: "Rutland Point Orange Bay Jamaica"

The phone number of the venue that Priceline did not work, but it was: [protected]

The "Priceline Trip Number" was: [protected]

The Confirmation Number was: [protected]

When trying to pass this issue off to Booking.com, Priceline gave me booking number with Booking.com of [protected]. Priceline did not inform me of this agreement ahead of time, so this was a further complication on-site.

Priceline also gave me a pincode to work with Booking.com. It was: 6697

Desired outcome: For the considerable stress, cost, and embarrassment, and wasted time this caused me I am seeking twice my reservation cost which comes to $886.10.

Priceline.com Fraudulent charges

On 11/07/22 at 9:09pm EST I was alerted that my credit card was charged $1,068.48 by Priceline for a la Quinta inn. After 2 hours of trying to find a number where I can reach a live agent, I was basically told because I don’t have a “trip” number they can not help me. I wanted the trip that I did not plan cancelled and my card refunded. But bc I could not provide any of the booking details (phone number, name the booking is under, trip number or email associated with the reservation) they were unwilling to help me. I told them I had the payment authorization number that was provided to my bank and my credit card number but again received no help in the manner. I want to press criminal charges against the person who used my card WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Priceline was unwilling to assist in anyway. When I asked to speak to the CEO the “supervisor” I was speaking to refused to give me his contact information, I had to go online to get it.

This entire thing is a huge inconvenience as I just prepaid this particular card as my car insurance is being charged to it. Now I need to shell out another $1600 to have it charged to another account.

Desired outcome: To be refunded the $1068.48 that was fraudulently charged and also compensated for the extra funds I need to put out even tho I prepaid it.
