Power Windows and Siding was seen soliticing on our propoerty, a self maintained condo complex. Power Windows was called on several occasions from me, the Maintenance Supervisor and from the President. On one occation I spoke with Kelly at Power Windows and explained that soliticing is not allowed and if they want the Board of Directors to review their product, they would have to submit a Ct. Licence, Insurance Certificate and a sample of their product, Kelly agreed. Our requests to Power Windows were disrespectfully ignored. Replacement windows and patio doors were installed in a unit behind our back. The unit owner was told that Power Windows had the Boards approval, a lie. Power Windows did not have authorization to do the installation. The unit owner was lied to. Bi-laws specificly state that approved windows and doors must meet set standards of Glen Oaks Condominiums, which are new construction windows and patio sliders with built in J-channel. Reason being that it is the best installion for weather efficiency and water leakage. Siding must be removed and the installation tab wrapped with water and ice shield. We are outraged with Power Windows sneaky installation and blatant disrespect to our communities laws. The windows will be removed and new construction windows will be installed to preserve the integity our building. Legal action will be taken if compensation is not made to us at Glen Oaks Condominiums. I've made several calls to Power Windows to discuss this issue, but have not been called back. For the past several summers sales representatives from Power Group have solicited me in person at my home for home improvement work and free estimates. In one of those summers I agreed for the rep to have someone give me an estimate on roof and windows. When he insisted that I would have to be at home at the time for the estimate, I told him not to bother. Unfortunately, I had given him my cell phone number. The company then proceeded to call me around 10 times that summer with more solicitations, despite me telling them I was no longer interested. Fast forward to last summer, where I was outside my home cutting the grass and noticed a young man was walking around from house to house. He then approached me while I was mowing the grass and I noticed that he had a "Power" t-shirt and he was asking about work I needed on my home. I told him I wasn't interested but then he insisted that I turn the mower off so he could give me more details. I told him I had already been approached by his company and I was familiar with what he wanted to say and had to finish the lawn. He proceeded to calling me an a__hole. At this point I did turn the mower off and let him know that I didn't appreciate him coming on my property to call me names. He then put himself in a fighting stance with his fists raised. I told him to get off my property before something happened that we would both regret and that I was thinking of filing a complaint with his company. He then said how did I know what company he was from and I said your t-shirt gives it away. He never denied that he was not with power home improvement . If this is the way the company trains its sales staff, how can anyone even think of doing business with the company.
I just got a roof from PHRG and it has been nothing but great from start to finish. If you would just talk to the guys they are actually great to work with.
I clearly believe Peter simply because Power Home Remodeling Group seems to operate in a very shady manner. I recently reached out to them for an estimate on a siding job on my home. It turns out that the exterior walls of my home were actually drywall rather than wood boards. During the estimate visit, the sales rep stated that it wasn't necessary to to replace the exterior drywall with wood boards. He went on to state that they would simply wrap the existing drywall with their barrier wrap and simply install the foam-backed siding on the walls; never guaranteeing that they would aim for the studs. I have years of experience in performing my own construction both interior/exterior as well as plumbing and electrical. It never made any sense to me that leaving the drywall would be fine but they insisted it was. After it was clear that I wasn't convinced of the proposed job, the sales rep insisted that their lifetime warranty would cover me on any future calls for repair. This clearly was an attempt to sell their job through their warranty rather than quality as if I don't mind having someone constantly come back to fix their own mess. What makes this company even more flaky was the fact that they only give you 3 days to cancel their original price. In other words, you HAVE to accept the price the day of the proposal. If not, and you decide to call back after getting some other estimates, they may give you a higher price. What ever happened to competition and competing for business? I strongly do not recommend this company. Further, they'll try to sell you the idea that their foam-backed siding allows the house to breathe when others don't. This is truly amusing. Try telling that to companies that have been in the insulation/foaming business for decades such as Owens-Corning. If that was the case, the majority of houses in America would be having a serious problem. I strongly do not recommend Power Home Remodeling Group.

Thank you for contacting us. Per our contract, the homeowner is responsible for getting approval for a remodeling job from their Home Owner's Association. However, we assist the homeowner as much as possible in the application process in providing for them insurance certifications, color chips and brochures.
