I was scammed by a middleman on PlayerUp for $2,300 in Bitcoin. I followed their checkout process step by step, sent the funds to the exact address shown on their payment page, and the transaction was successfully confirmed on the blockchain.
After that, the problems started. They claimed that they never received the payment and that their system could not detect any transaction from me. From that point on, their explanations became inconsistent and illogical. At first, they stated that their wallet addresses are static, but later admitted that some addresses had changed over time.
They then tried to shift the blame onto me by suggesting that my device might be compromised and that some kind of malicious software altered the Bitcoin address during checkout. However, this explanation doesn’t make sense. A detailed review of the transaction shows that the payment was split into two outputs, one matching the main payment amount and the other matching the insurance fee shown on their checkout page. This clearly follows their own payment structure and is not random behavior.
If my device had truly been compromised, all wallet addresses on the page would have been changed, not just one. There is also no logical way an attacker could know in advance which address I would choose to send the funds to and selectively alter only that one.
At this point, it is clear that something is wrong on their side, whether it is their system, their checkout process, or something else. Instead of taking responsibility, they continue to delay the process and provide vague explanations.
Recommendation: DO NOT USE THIS SCAM SITE
I’ll update you in detail on Monday. My legal team is currently on a break for the Easter holidays, but they’ll be back starting Monday. A lawsuit against that platform will soon be filed in multiple jurisdictions. Anyone who has been affected will be able to join us in taking legal action, and all costs will be covered by us. You only need to provide proof that you were scammed.
I believe the PlayerUp platform will soon come to an end.
I’ve also been scammed by the PlayerUp platform.
I’ve been waiting for my money for almost a year. I’d like to seek legal advice, but they’re hiding the details of the platform’s actual owner. Since you’ve made a payment to them, you probably have this information. Could you please share it here, or send me an email at irrah@inbox.lv?
Thank you in advance
