I recently ordered a rifle from Palmetto online which indicated that it was IN STOCK. I contacted the store directly and asked how long would it take to arrive I was told 7 to 10days so I placed the order. After 10 days (9 business days and not hearing ANYTHING I called to check on the status. I was then told it could take 15 days. So after 22 days I received an email stating that it was still inside the 15 day window (NO MATH SKILLS). I stopped by one of the stores and spoke to one of the MANAGERS. The rifle is still shown as being IN STOCK. So, I ask if they had one on hand and the answer was NO.
Can someone please explain to me what IN STOCK means?
I have been ON HOLD TRYING to contact Customer Service for the last 30 minutes waiting for someone to answer. NO ONE DOES. Either 1 for Cancellation or 6 for general call POOR SERVICE AGAIN.
I did find out speaking with the Manager that they go to a Third Party for some items . If they are told by the Third Party that they have 1000 items then Palmetto will sell those if in the even that the Third Party comes back and says we don't have a 1000 we only have 900 guess what there are 100 people left high and dry. This to me seems as FALSE ADVERTISING. Those 100 people are left holding the bag for ALONG PERIOD OF TIME AND JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS TO CANCEL AN ORDER THAT COULDN'T BE COMPLETED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM PALMETTO ONLINE . YOU MAY OR MAY NOT GET YOUR ORDER IN A TIMELY MANNER OR AT ALL.I HAVE PURCHASED A PSA RIFLE IN THE PAST AND IT IS A FINE WEAPON. But based on this event and the TOTAL LACK OF SERVICE and response it will be my LAST.
