False notification of a lapse in vehicle warranty
In the mail I received an official notification that my 2013 Toyota Camry warranty had expired. Because my car is only 2.5 months old with less than 2, 600 miles, I questioned this official notification card's validity. After doing an internet search and contacting the Toyota dealership where I purchased my new car, I called the toll free number on the card. I spoke with two separate representatives of this company. Both representatives stated, my factory warranty would soon expire, which was a total lie. They then tried to pressure me into purchasing an expensive extended warranty, claiming the warranty would be honored at all Toyota Dealerships. Again, another lie. This company is truly fraudulent and deceptive.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This was a scam.
Received a mailed letter with all kinds of official looking verbiage like it was a recall notice. Company is called National Vehicle Protection. These people were very pushy and refused to answer my questions. They are not affiliated with your dealership or car company. While I had these people on the phone, I called my dealership on the other line and the dealership told me this was a scam.
I was called recently and was told my warranty on my vehicle was expired. The representative assured me this would be honored at all KIA'S service departments and they were representing KIA. I asked him several times about if the were actually with KIA and every time he assured me it was. I can't believe I fell for it because I later called my KIA dealership and was told these are mostly scams.
